- We Jump into the ATR and use the Data Monitor to Identify which L:VARs are controlled but the Virtual Cockpit. Then how to apply changes to them via our hardware bindings in SPAD.neXt to control the plane!!

Thank you Les, it has helped with the FGCP buttons but I still can't figure out how to do the hdg, alt,vs & ias rotaries for the Honeycomb Bravo. Any chance of a short video specifically for the Bravo? I did manage to do the lights, the brake lever and the power management rotary.
this video specifically shows how to do the hdg and how to figure out the others ... please watch the video and apply that example to the HDG function on the Bravo.. Then try replacing HDG with ALT or PITCH for the VS.. IAS is spd.. anyway it's also all posted in the discord..
Thanks a lot for the video, Less. I am trying to control the Asobo Skyhawk interior lights with my Asobo Live device. I have found the LVAR's involved, I have created "Data Change Actions" for two different lights (Cabin_1 and Glareshield_1) following your instructions, and I have a (partial) reward: when I dial my controls in Loupedeck, the Data Monitor shows that I am modifying the Value inside the limits stablished (0-100). The "only" problem is that nothing happens in the sim, the brightness remains unchanged. I would really appreciate any advice about my possible mistakes. Thanks a lot in advance.

Great video as always Les, thanks. What I find "annoying" is that it seems in the ATR when controls a re managed though SPAD, the animations aren't triggered which I think on things like lights causes a conflict in the plane. I checked watching the video closely and when you used the control, the heading knob was static.
Just a note that if I apply the nav light on and off to one of my Bravo switches, the light is correctly controlled but again, the animation isn't triggered. Means functional but immersion is very degraded (for me) in that there's no audible confirmation of setting and a visual scan is all wrong.
Have not gotten to switches like that yet but all my other switches have moved - ie the start mode rotary switch and the power management switch.
There is nothing we can do at this time if the dev does not link the animations to something we can control. This is mostly attributed to the BEvents that we still don’t have API access too.
It is what it is… but I would rather a knob I can turn than spin a mouse.
@@LesOReilly agreed - I got the heading sel working per your video but the crs was a bit more challenging with a different schema - instead of the "changed" it seems to use "delta" wich I had to have + or - depending whether I'd incremented or decremented. Those two plus the ALT are the key things I care about tbh as I find the screen near impossible to read and then also operate a mouse at the same time. Those 3 will do me for now.
@@mikebakkeyt I just got to my computer now and setup a NAV Light .. it moves the switch in the sim and I hear it clicking like I do if I move it with the mouse..

Question, the Honda Jet and the Longitude have almost the same avionics. I wanted to change my pitch trim wheel on my multi panel from pitch trim to zooming the map in and out on the secondary display. You mouse over the GTC Joystick and use the mouse wheel to zoom the map in and out in the sim but I have not found the control command for that in SPAD. I used the Data Monitor/Usage and zooming the map in and out does not register. Do you know what it is by any chance?
In the FFX discord or the HJet videos there is a link to the binding document. That document lists all the HEvents for the GTC units. The left unit GTC in both is the “vertical 2” unit and it’s the range event.
Hi, I can't figure this out with the Bravo throttle quadrant for the ATR. I'm at the AP & Switches page. Could you please help me out a bit? I can't find the correct event..

So, do you have anything for black square king air? Everytime I try getting avionics master and start switches the switches in the sim stop working even after I remove my key assignments
Those are heavily tied to LVARs for animation and then some other k event for triggering systems.
Use dev mode to see what each switch does for a click.
Have the LVars changed since you made this video? I'm not getting the same ones that you are getting...
Load LVARs. Wait a bit love switches and do things then press the update button.
If I have to reinstall spad.next will the programing still be there? Is there a way to save a folder in case you reinstall. Im in the beta for msfs but incase of reinstall, because i didnt back up the packages like advised. Id like to be sure my programming isnt lost in spad. Thanks for your advice,
Your profiles are stored in your documents folder nothing but the bridge is in the community.
Great video as always Les! I have the cockpit masters CDU for the 737. I know you made a video to use it with the CRJ. Is there any way to see the info displayed remotely on the CDU? I have the line select buttons working but I can't seem to get the screen to mirror the aircrafts CDU
No it does not have the same output from the screen like the CRJ has..

Your video was really helpful. QUESTION... In the latest version of the ATR, when I look through the LVARS I can not find the same list that you had in your video. For example I am looking for the heading sync LVAR and the only LVAR I have for Heading is something like HDG_VAR_ANIM. Nothing for the IAS button as well...Did the LVARS get changed in the latest update ??
Are you sure the LVAR Bridge is running? did you press the UPDATE LVARs button in the Datamonitor ?

@@LesOReilly LVAR bridge is installed in Com Fldr and I did update the LVARS but no change in the list. Cant find anything that looks like the HDG SYNC, IAS button, and several others.. Not sure why the difference...
@@mikewilley5678 I would suggest you close MSFS .. Re install the LVAR Bridge.. version 3.8 should install with the current release of SPAD. Then restart the sim.. In the Data Monitor you can always click on the ADD LVARs .. and then "Update" LVARs..
Finally when your looking to modify these your looking in the Change Data Value add action item correct? Not the Send Event Action Type?
The ATR video with the XTouch is also good for showing how to bind all kinds of AP controls.. including the HDG sync
@@LesOReilly Thanks and I don't want to overstay my welcome here and your helpful hints but I did confirm I have 3.8 installed and reinstalled it with the sim off then restarted the sim and I did update the lvars in the sim but the list of LVARS is still the same with no LVARS for the HDG SYNC and several others. Is your current list of LVARS in the ATR sim the same as in your (this) video ?? This one is strange but I may have missed something basic but not sure what..
Sruggling with IAS i can get it to increase do the copy and paste method for decrease but having no luck
It might require the change var to have a -1.

First time using spad. I'm not getting what you are. I only get 4 LVARS to show up and nothing when I rotate hdg knob.
You probably never installed the LVAR bridge.
@@LesOReilly I restarted and now it's working. So, following your guide, I have the HDG rotating knob on my HC Bravo working now. But, what if I want to use the same knob to change the coarse as well?
@@PB-im9bd Watch the other videos on the bravo and how to use conditions .. most likely there is already a snippet that is published for the Bravo around the ATR and you can just download that.
