Thanks so much. I was looking for years about the Zoom Map Knob in the Longitude and I could not understand why the event monitor didn't work. You are really helpful.
@@LesOReilly I just learned that using the TOGGLE event does not change the corresponding LVAR for the light being toggled. So I changed to the LANDING_LIGHTS_SET event (using the LVAR:LIGHTING_LANDING_1 (or 2) value (like a toggle) which does update the LVAR:LIGHTING_LANDING_1 (or 2) automatically which then can be watched to set the appropriate Stream Deck button image. Works perfectly.
Another great video! Wish I had watched this before attempting to use "all" of the H Events in the CJ4 yesterday (sorry again for your wasted cycles)! Your videos have enabled me to create a hardware/software setup using SPAD, X-Touch Mini, Class Echo Mobile and the "Honeycomb Bravos" that has gotten me so dependent that I would have a "problem" flying any of the non-GA aircraft without that setup. So again...Thank You Les 🙂
I did the video AFTER our discord conversation ... plenty of questions regarding finding H Events lately. It was kind of part of my FSExpo presentation going through this kind of stuff.. I am sure FSA will make those full presentations available after July.. if not I might redo the presentation in a video form. So it was good motivation I guess to generate a topic to cover when I had time last night to sit down and do it.
Wow, another example of exactly what I was looking for - I'm trying to find these events for the ATR FMC as I'm trying to make an AirManager panel. This was really useful to help me find those. Many thanks for another great video Les 🙂
awsome this, im hasitating to buy this, i got 2 streamdecks but i want to be sure i can do what i want, and that is programming my own buttons for the default 747-8 , im not sure if you allready made a vid, but can you show me how to make a on/off switch or a toggle switch with 2 images. that if you flip i switch in youre cockpit, it also switch on youre stream deck. the goal is that i can go from cold and dark to ready to go with only my stream deck, i got the xl and the plus. i subscribed 😃kind regards

@@LesOReilly thanks, so im trying ad this point to program my first button, but its not really working out, what am i doing wrong, i made a quick vid ruclips.net/video/Ka6SQg37pxc/видео.html Is it possible that you make a vid where you programme a couple boeing 747-8i default buttons so i can see how you do it and than il pick it up and go from there. maybe as example masterbattery, 1 irs button, one of the light switch and a heading button for me to see how you find the stuff is needed and i can continue? kind regards
Join the spad discord it is easier to get help there ... your trying to do the Image change and Button event on the same button press event ... Don't do that.. You put the button press to fire the Battery Toggle Event... Then you have two Change Image events... One is the Battery on and the second is a Battery OFF .. The first video about stream deck basics shows you how to do this with the master warning and changing the colour.. instead of Colour you use change image..
