@@2020fsers I’ve just followed the paging memory, I have 32gb of ram, I set the numbers you suggested 48000 and 96000 but when I hit enter it says the drive doesn’t have enough space and will grow to the available size space ,, it says space available 59780. I run the c drive on a 120gb ssd is this a problem?
I’ll also add I tried also setting it to no paging file and as soon as I tried loading into an airport in the sim I got a msfs exception breakpoint warning :(
At first I taught with a duration of 31 minutes we have another youtuber who like to hear them self talking, what was I wrong, every second is informative and helps me a lot tuning my system. Thank you for your hard work!! Of course I subscribed to your channel. Edit: Finally a stutter free FS, from the start although FPS was around 60 always had a stutter and micro stutter, even on a fresh win install and only FS running. Never taught it was possible to run FS smooth till today. My GPU is not on a 100pct load anymore but around 80-90 on 4k with a 2080Ti and Ryzen 9 cpu. I got a virus warning on Pegasun (TotalAV), didn't do that tweek. I had Lossless Scaling already installed but FS stutters also on higher frame rates and was bit disappointed of how it work. Now it gives the last smoothness and the frames looks more sharp, amazing :). Blue sky's cheers from the Netherlands!!
This video is insane! So much tweaks i've never heard off. I went from stuttering 42 FPS (Fenix A320/heavy scenery) to 60 FPS (locked) all the time without lossless scaling! Gonna try to see a difference between game mode on/off, was previously turned on. Specs: 7800x3d / 4080 Super / 64gb RAM (6000/Cl 30) Thanks!

Whether I do that or not, this is probably the only video I need to consult about non-VR settings because it comes with incredibly useful time stamps. I've never seen anything quite like it!
Great guide. Only suggestion I would make is on the virtual memory section. In my experience you want the min and max sizes to be the same to keep your page file from resizing and degrading performance.
@@2020fsers im still running with a i-7 10k paired with 4070 super in stock , no over clocking , no need to and , I know I'm not hitting the full power or the card but I'm getting over 60 fps , and I'm impressed, but lately I'm getting crashed with an error saying that it could be the overclock, which I'm not, running hot, which both temp are running below 50C , and this one about the dx12 beta, that should go back to dx 11 , ...all this being happening after the august 2024 driver update Do you have any recommendations, thank you
Interesting! I mainly go for visual pleasure so with the 4090 I render in 6K with TAA and Frame Generation with ultra settings maxed out on a 32-in 144Hz 4K monitor and it's been pretty enjoyable so far. Now in some cities I do have to back it down to 5K.

Thanks for putting these type videos out. I have only been playing MSFS for 6 months but am struggling with ground studders. My computer specs are RTX 4090 and AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3d with 64g of ram. I do play exclusively in VR so that could be my issue. I have a Valve Index headset and use steam VR as my entry point. My studders are mild to moderate. Not sure how to tweak my system but I will follow what you have here and see if I am doing something wrong.
@ when I restart and re open the application, it does not shows the presets « Maximum ». Seems like the setting didn’t got applied, should we re activate it eaxh time we restart the PC ?

Thanks for taking the time putting this together. I can only imagine how much time it takes. WRT debloating the NVIDEA driver. When I update I disable installing GE Force and perform a clean install. I don't use any other driver features such as filters. Do you know if debloating is necessary if I do a clean install?
On a slightly different subject. I use a PiMax Crystal and I leave it powered on all the time. The battery stays charged and the screen does turn off. Do you know or have you heard if this is a good or bad practice?

I am getting all red in the Frame Rate Screen. I have a Asus Z790 Strix-E Wifi II. Intel i7-14000K. An Asus ProArt 4060ti 16gb Graphics Card. 64 Gb Ram. I'm unable to get any green when I spawn in the sim with or without add-ons. I'm wondering if I have a miss-matched system. Is the fact that I have a ProArt graphics card making any difference? I have also followed all the steps. I could use a little help. This channel is great for the information I need to run a smooth sim
Thanks for the comment . Are you using the native refresh rate of the monitor? Are you using vsync ? Are you capping frames? If so please give me details to these questions. I can't offer any suggestions if I don't know what your current settings are the hardware really doesn't matter it's the settings.
After doing this i noticed no performance increase, and sky high CPU temps. Having to go back and undo everything said in this video. I seem to be the outlier here so idk but maybe be careful with some of these.
Hi there! Hoping you can help me out. I'm on iRacing and I follow everything that's applicable to my sim. And it's wonderful, so thank you for that! But I am having an issue with my fuel calculator overlay which I use openkneeboard to put in my headset. I use a web link from my calculator software to pull into openkneeboard. My calculator stops working after a few minutes. Is this due to some setting I may have put on within following your video? My apologies, I'm not very tech savvy, so half the stuff you did in your video that I followed, I'm not even sure what it did other than give me much better performance 😅. Thanks again for all you do!
@@2020fsers it did work fine until I went through this videos settings. I'm also working with openkneeboard. I'm thinking I don't have MS edge running in the background. My fuel calculator doesn't require me to open a browser, but still uses a browser link. Going to tinker a bit to see if MS Edge not running in the background is the cause of this.
Hey Skip you probably didn't input the xml file into the profile inspector folder . Checkout my more detailed video below in that it will have all the links you need .
I guess the main thing would be to make sure that vsync is off and also check on the mouse check box in the user interface of the lossless scaling app to improve the performance of the pointer

Very curious! after your instructions simlink doesn´t work anymore with MSFS and FSTL traffic injector freezes the simulator... FPS still low but my PC is 1000 times faster when it is about to restart...
I also use navigraph but I have no issues with simlink and also fsltl and no issues . I'm not sure what could have caused this . Maybe in your startup apps or background apps did you turn off simlink?
@@2020fsers I solved Navigraph and Simlink issues (I stupidly turned off Simlink from background apps), but I am having weird issues with FSTL even before watching your tutorial. My sim lose all fps (down to 8-10) and gets totally frozen sometimes while running FSTL engine (frustrating). Any good tutorial about FSTL traffic injector from your channel?

Question: With the Service Manager of Pegasun System Utilities, I noticed that when you close the interface, it still runs in the system tray (bottom right of the taskbar). Do you need to keep this running in the system tray in order to do its optimization or can you exit it in the system tray? i.e., do you need to keep this running before launching msfs 2020?
Ahh yeah I should have mentioned that . You can close from system tray . Once you make the changes you are all good to go. Never need to open it again unless you add more app and programs to your pc then run it again to make sure those programs don't add services blindly running in the background

hello my brother I am really wanting to try dlss frame generation and DLSS tweak mod but don't know how to install and set up for my 4090 and pimax crystal i heard that DLSS and DLAAA with tweak mod is the holy grail for graphics and performance in vr . i was hoping you have a video on that or if you can consider doing a video. i know it would be a great tutorial and the best one on youtube. so any info or thoughts would be appreciated.
Yeah some anti-virus apps will flag it not all . I've already talked to the developer about it. Norton 360 and another 1 he said flags it . The reason is because this app has the capability to change registry . That's why I only suggest what I go over .
I disagree with the page file size recommendation. You only need the page file if you run out of memory, which would be rare with 32-64GB of RAM so you could potentially be wasting storage space setting such high minimum values.
Thanks for the comment . Like I state at the very beginning do what works for you. I have had people with 32 and 64 gb ram do this method with great results however if you are limited on space then you will need to adjust your settings for your system .
With a 3090 or 4090 with 24Gb Vram (and in my case, 32Gb ddr5 ram) you shouldnt need to muck around with page file size. Because I have lots of room on my SSD drive, I fix my system file size to min/max 24Gb (24000mb) and this seems to work fine. In the past, using gpu's with less Vram, I've always sett the min = amount of Vram and max at that + 1000mb. Like everything, your results may vary, lol!

Your spec should give good results especially In a valve index . Check out some of the tips that may help.you

Once you do it you don't need to reopen the application. Some items may be restricted to change so those will be left alone .

Ok if you disable GeForce when you update then the debloat won't help all that much .

It seems the last few updates have started causing stutters in my system that I have not seen before.
make sure to clear your shader cache and if you use rolling cache clear that as well . this may help that issue

I am in for an update to my 4090. Do we still debloat? I am trying to go to dx12 with dx swapper, do I still need to set AA to x16? And clamp?
I always de bloat my driver . Use the anti-aliasing setting that works best for you I use the one in the control panel

I don't have an fsltl tutorial but I would scale down all the aircraft . The default setting are to high imo.

hello my brother I am really wanting to try dlss frame generation and DLSS tweak mod but don't know how to install and set up for my 4090 and pimax crystal i heard that DLSS and DLAAA with tweak mod is the holy grail for graphics and performance in vr . i was hoping you have a video on that or if you can consider doing a video. i know it would be a great tutorial and the best one on youtube. so any info or thoughts would be appreciated.
I don't prefer the dlss tweaks mod lots of bits and bobs to work through. I use the nvidia profile inspector that is very easy .

In the profile I spector set your preset to e . And the that's it. Use the dlss dlaa option in the sim
I use dlss quality when I fly vr with preset e .

Yeah some anti-virus apps will flag it not all . I've already talked to the developer about it. Norton 360 and another 1 he said flags it . The reason is because this app has the capability to change registry . That's why I only suggest what I go over .

I disagree with the page file size recommendation. You only need the page file if you run out of memory, which would be rare with 32-64GB of RAM so you could potentially be wasting storage space setting such high minimum values.
Thanks for the comment . Like I state at the very beginning do what works for you. I have had people with 32 and 64 gb ram do this method with great results however if you are limited on space then you will need to adjust your settings for your system .
With a 3090 or 4090 with 24Gb Vram (and in my case, 32Gb ddr5 ram) you shouldnt need to muck around with page file size. Because I have lots of room on my SSD drive, I fix my system file size to min/max 24Gb (24000mb) and this seems to work fine. In the past, using gpu's with less Vram, I've always sett the min = amount of Vram and max at that + 1000mb. Like everything, your results may vary, lol!

hi. i have a big problem with clouds if you look my videos (please watch at least 1080p) there are many shimmering pixel on clouds... i try many thing to solve but.. nothing change itry to play dx 11 closing FG still there ... i also try to change film grain in user.cfg ...All my driver and app up to date and there is nothing in the community

Some of this is snake oil. E.g, the OpenGL settings do absolutely nothing for MSFS.

@2020fsers, When I try to put this, intoGame Mode, and then to graphic settings, I follow the path of This PC> Local Disk (C) >Users > Elite-R5 > AppData > Roaming > Microsoft Flight Simulator, and click (Desktop App) and then nothing, it will not do anything, how can I get it, to to show where you had the Microsoft Flight Simulator, and under it high performance?
