I had tried other video editing programs like Vegas pro, Premier pro, something complex to use, so I wanted to give Final Cut a try and I was delighted. Many options, most of them have an assistant, you don't need to be a professional and with this guide you learn faster.
Dude, thank you. Haven’t touched Final Cut Pro in 5 years after suffering a brain injury, and when I went back to it, I lost all knowledge how to use it. I am now very much a visual learning, and your videos have been a huge help. Thank you.
Wow, never give up my friend, this kind of comments are really needed to help the brilliant youtubers like this one to continue creating awesome videos
As a person who also has a traumatic brain injury from a car accident causing me to have a shortened attention span, confusion, dizziness, it is so helpful having these quick bite sized videos that I can intake and retain instead of hour long videos. So thank you @colorgradingcentral
this is a good material about the way of edit a video using final cut pro, it is a topic that although it is at the forefront not everyone knows how to fully address it. we are grateful for your effort, we hope to see more of it on your channel
You don't know how grateful I am for this video. 🥺Been putting off FCP for a few months because of how overwhelmed it is for a complete beginner like me to learn it by myself. Now I even know how to improve my audio in just one tutorial😭 You're the GOAT!
This has to be one of the best "how-to" videos about a piece of software ever created. I learnt so much and the pacing was spot on. I was able to follow along and create my own test project with ease. I didn't get lost once. Keep up the fantastic work and I look forward to watching more of your excellent content. Thanks, man
For months I've been dreading how to edit, film, cut and everything else that needs to be done to make a good video. It's been doing my head in until I found you🙏🙏🙏I absolutely know nothing, but now I can learn from your tutorials. Thank you man👍
I've seen a lot of videos, but this one about Final Cut Pro is the greatest I've ever seen and it will save me so much time. I've been using Final Cut for two years, but I've only used it for simple blade/jump cuts. I only started editing my audio last month. Advice on shortcuts has been really helpful. I'm grateful.
Wow. Awesome. I watched this entire guide in one sitting. You packed everything I need to know from beginning editing in FCP to exporting the final project, and you gave me great tips for efficiency and compatibility and you even decreased the intimidation of colour correction. Thanks so much, man. I'm now a subscriber.
Thank you so much for creating this video! I just purchased Final Cut Pro (previous experience with Camtasia Studio) and this was my first time creating a video in the tool. This step by step was exactly what I was looking for. Perfect for FCP newbies like myself. Much appreciated!
Thanks so much, this was super helpful. I started editing a few months ago when I started my family channel and this has shed so much light on finished looks that I couldn't obtain! Hopefully my next video will go much smoother with editing.
This video is full of excellent information. Everything discussed in this video is very clear and very well explained for easy and better understanding. Thanks for taking your time to share such an amazing video with us .
This video has been a game changer for me..I love your dedication and passion..definitely the best guide ever created..I hope one day you creat another video with advanced topics...thanks for sharing this video
excellent video, I must say that every detail you mention really worked for me, it is very interesting, I thank you in advance for sharing this information!
This was great man. I appreciate your time and effort on the video. This was extremely insightful. It's really going to help me with my editing. Think you for this video
Holy cow , I didn’t know about the .mov versus the mp4 thing ! Thank you so much for this tutorial , I have only used Final Cut for a couple months now ! Thanks again !
"I can only echo what others have said - this is an amazing resource, really helps to explain the basics of Final Cut Pro to new (and not-so-new) users and covers so many features. I'm so happy with my first movie out of it - couldn't have done it without your help.
Thank you for this very organized not too fast not too slow tutorial, I'm a tourist videographer and have filmed and edited videos on teh roda with Premiere, but now I have to work ina company where they only use Final Cut, so this works pretty well for me so they hire me. Thank You
such a long but very detailed video. currently on the trail version because i still find it so hard to follow but this video is VERY helpful. thank you!
Thanks so much, this was super helpful. I started editing a few months ago when I started my family channel and this has shed so much light on finished looks that I couldn't obtain! Hopefully my next video will go much smoother with editing 💛
Incredible information thanks to this video now I know more about the subject, without a doubt very important, thanks I will share it with all my friends
Very well done! Definitely going to try the trial version...kinda just starting to learn editing, but seems like FCP is more intuitive and 'cleaner' than Premiere Pro.
The best information is well organized. One amazing thing on Apple Silicon chips is that we don't need proxies anymore.thank you share this tutorial video.
Best video for FCP even better explained than my paid class subscription.. I will stay anonymous which class I am taking but it’s ridiculous. Good job.
Hi - THANK you for a great walk through on how to get started - brilliant! I am now following the steps hitting play and pause of course as a newbie 🤣 However I have seem to get into trouble really fast. I can't play my videoclips without "frames being dropped" message and glitchy playback - i've checked proxy and in another YT video (searching for the mistake) it was suggested to switch from proxy to original files.... any advise thoughts on what went wrong in my process - THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for all the great and usable content you give out!!!
Hey thanks for this great Guide with lots of tips and tricks! Just wandering: you mentioned an Advanced FCP Tutorial coming where you would show more about collar correction etc. When is that coming out, or do you have a link already to it? Many thanks 🚀🙏
This was insightful and I followed along using the basics to create and export a video for RUclips. However, I found that Adobe Premiere Pro 2021 subscription to have a lot more bells and whistles at the ready. Thanks for the tutorial man!
Another question - how do you sharpen up you and softly blur/defocus the background in a clip? you've done it in this video and I really love the effect!
Just upgrade to the iMacPro M2 and have yet to download everything. How is CinemaGrade working on M2? Do we need to do anything or just run the lasted version1.2.13?
I love Color Grade and Final Cut. I have been doing more work with HDR content and was wondering workflow in Color Grade? I have used both for years in non-HDR video, but now working (and loving) the content I make in HDR, I would love to know how to get all of them to play nice together.
One of the best among the bunch of FC tutorials. Thanks for doing this. While listening to your instructions, your background music kept distracting me 😢. Then when I wanted to see & hear the effects of the functionalities you’re explaining, the background music kept intruding. Diminished the value of your VG work.
When I check Cinema grade product, I can't exactly understand enough from the text what are the differences between Basic, Pro and Filmmaker packages. Can you make a short video about it with examples?
Thanks for this, Very infoirmative video- however I did struggle with listening to you with the background music. Wish there was an option to turn it off.
Is there an in depth video on how to use this plugin in FCP? I'm considering it but wanted to make sure I won't be frustrated trying to learn how to use it. I'm not a final cut pro wiz yet.
Yes there is if you get 'filmmaker' package we go in super depth not just on the plugin but actually break down the art of color grading from the beginning.
I had tried other video editing programs like Vegas pro, Premier pro, something complex to use, so I wanted to give Final Cut a try and I was delighted. Many options, most of them have an assistant, you don't need to be a professional and with this guide you learn faster.
What can I say..... Best FCPX video for beginners ever !!!! Period! You deserve sooo!! much credit for the time spent making this.
Dude, thank you. Haven’t touched Final Cut Pro in 5 years after suffering a brain injury, and when I went back to it, I lost all knowledge how to use it. I am now very much a visual learning, and your videos have been a huge help. Thank you.

Hello Denver, Have you ever thought to make a little tutorial about how to use Cinema Grade in Final Cut? That could be great !!

Should I set Wide Gamut or standard for library color setting?
