Thank you for sharing! I love this idea! Im making this for my niece, that's getting married in two days. I was having problems finding the same exact fonts. But, I finally found them. This looks like a fun new project to learn.
Just bought the machine and I have to be honest... this video has made me consider returning it. If this woman (who clearly has done this a lot) can't make a couple cups without making mistakes... I'm screwed...she legit has to throw away two cups... so wasteful. I think I would be WAY worse than her... and she didn't really knock it out of the park here. This WAS a very informative video though. Very detailed and I do appreciate you keeping the mistakes... truly, I give this a huge thumbs up for your honesty.

Use a rubber band to find your center, you will use less tape and have a center line on the cup! Cute cups!

Where did you purchase your tape dispenser for the heat resistant tape? I noticed the core is a little larger than a regular scotch tape dispenser core.

I'm a newbie here...I've tried two mugs and I still get lines where my infusible ink transfer was stuck to my mug. I did a letters only one like your second example. Any suggestions on how I can ensure I don't keep having to throw out mugs? Thanks in advance.
Great video, I have found that my lines tear in my circuit when too small, how did you get your small lines to not tear? And also did you just eyeball the leveling, to make sure it was not crooked, any tips on that?
When the template is cut out it just wraps around so you should keep the template level with the bottom of the mug. Make sure your blade is nice and clean and also your mat needs to be nice and clean to get the small intricate cuts!!

You can't use vinyl with the mug press. Only infusible ink, infusible ink markers or other sublimation paper.
Thank you for your video. I have the original cricut which I believe is not compatible with the mug press. What cricut machine would you suggest I purchase?
I think you should be able to plug your Cricut cutter's usb cable into your laptop/computer, then update the firmware for it. If you haven't updated it in a while, it's good to do periodically; as Cricut often comes out with new files and features for the machines and Cricut Design Space. Hope this helps.

Sublimation...because they have a polymer coating for the infusible ink to adhere to.

I haven't tried, but they need to be straight walled to get an even press and I don't think tumblers are.
How did you get to mug design setup? I can't find it
I’ve yet to find the image above where I can set up the mug with scalloped or straight edges. Maybe this is an older version of Design Space? So frustrating.

Try QVC. They allow you to pay monthly. It’s how I got mine. And they ship after first payment .

Only the infusible ink sheets makes the cracking sound before you weed it, hope this helps you.

where did you get the tape dispenser?
I didn't but I'm not selling them. The ink can scratch if something sharp hits it. Just depends on how careful with it you are. If you wrap it in tissue each year, I think they'll be fine!

No, you don't need a Cricut. You could use a sublimation printer or just Infusible Ink or sublimation markers!
Just picked up mine from HSN for 5 flex payments. Also picked up 4 Cricut mugs on HSN as well. Don't want to build up a mug stash yet!

Please comment on Cricut’s NEW (3-13-21) policy forcing users to subscribe to Cricut Access just to be able to upload more than 20 personal uploads a month. This policy makes the expensive Cricut machines I own (I own three machines) virtually useless unless I pay for their subscription. I design on other platforms because Design Space is not a space to design. Additionally, it is only available via the Internet and is not stable or efficient. The constant crashing causes me to lose my work or have saved work magically disappear. Will you still be promoting the Cricut products in light of this flagrant GREEDY and sneaky business decision?
