That dark guy is not her husband. She's been living with Dave Davis since 1976 .He's the one who got her on Rhoda because he was one of the big wigs of television back in the day. He wanted in her pants so he wrote the part of Brenda just for her .He's 82 now.

You would have thought Julie would have been able to leverage this Emmy win into more on-screen roles after Rhoda. As it is I'm sure she's laughing herself all the way to the bank with her Simpsons checks. I still wonder why she didn't have a bigger career between Rhoda and The Simpsons.
BigSCTVfan I suspect that Kavner being typecast in Brenda Morganstern-like roles limited her career between "Rhoda" and "The Tracey Ullman Show."
Not everybody wants what you assume that they want. Maybe she made choices to be happy in life that you just don’t appreciate or understand.

Not many voice actors use their own voice as a voice. She is one of a handful. Although, I think the most famous voice actor that only uses his own voice probably must be James Earl Jones.

Apparently she doesn't like to be recorded while voicing Marge. She doesn't want ppl to lose the illusion and rhe art of her voice acting for Marge.

I have seen her in several Woody Allen movies made during the 80s and 90s, eg Hannah and Her Sisters, Oedipus Wrecks segment of New York Stories, Deconstructing Harry. She was also in Awakenings with Robin Williams and Robert DeNiro

Interesting. I was/am very happy for her, but she didn't mention Valerie Harper. Valerie didn't mention Julie when she won her Emmy for the Rhoda series. She mentioned Mary and Nancy Walker, but it still seemed weird not to mention the other cast members, and it was a smaller cast than that of MTM. Just saying.
