Karen was the Valentine for a lot of people in the 1970's- such a likable television presence.
She was a very good actress! She should have been a bigger star than she was! How precious to see hair ribbons!
She's too cute. My favorite acceptance speech ever.
Karen Valentine was funny but still a real classy woman in my opinion. I loved her acting on screen.
I was just a kid but was in love with Karen Valentine and so were all my friends!
She was so adorable!
I was 13 and had a mad crush on her.
I❤ Karen Valentine, her bubbliness just comes out, sadly I wouldn't remember this because I was too young at time, but I do remember Karen's later work. 😊
Nobody but Karen could still look cute and attractive in that ensemble. I had brown hair and brown eyes when I was younger and I hoped to grow up to look just like her.
Love that lady!
I had a freaking Crush on her mad Crush 💖💕💞✨🥺💕
Always love Karen and always will!!!
What cute breath of fresh air
That same year William Windom won for Best Actor in a Comedy series. This was for the previous year, 1969. Coincidentally, he and Karen had appeared together in an episode of a short-lived tv show called "My Friend Tony." Bill played an effiminate diamond smuggler who was using Karen's character as his mule. Then they each went on to star in tv series later that year and each won an Emmy for it.
what a timeless beauty
class act, one my favorites
Man, when I was kid growing up watching TV in the 60's and 70's, I definitely took note of KV. She was hot cute and kind of different, had a sweet, sarcastic demeanor, and was a decent, watchable actress.
She starred in the episode "Fatal Charm" in "Starsky and Hutch"
Always remember that one scene where Starsky is calling Hutch to warn him and she answers the phone in Hutch's apartment and says "He'll be dead before you get here" So chilling.
Where is she now? I miss her!
That outfit, ribbon and overbite. Oh my.
Jim Brooks did Room 222! I hadn't known that , cool
Charming.
I had such a crush on one of the cutest girls in the planet at that time. Watching this video makes me fall in love all over with Karen Valentine.
What a sweetheart!
So cute 💖💖💖💖⚘⚘⚘⚘
lovely keen speeches
I'm watching an episode of "Monsters" with her in it "The Young & THe Headless" (S3E09) she's still gorgeous
So cuuute! I had big crush on her! Absolutely adorable
This was in 1970 not 1974.
It looks like she wore her pajamas to an awards show. I don't remember her from any show besides game shows, but that's because besides cartoons and sports, pretty much all I watched on TV was game shows.
calm down Karen! I'll have whatever she's on!
Great laugh
Someone should do a whatever happened to Karen valentine video
Lloyd Haynes was the backbone of Room 222. A Korean War veteran and still a Commander in the U.S Navy Reserves when he died of lung cancer at Naval Base Coronado in 1987, his role on 'Room 222' was groundbreaking and unprecedented in American television and far more worthy of a 1970 Emmy Award than the ditzy shenanigans of Karen Valentine's character, which by 1970, had been a dime a dozen for similar roles for at least 2 decades on television.
The blonde presenter woman is attractive
I think that is Joan Blondell, smiling behind her (at :12). Does anyone know for sure?
I think you are right. she was a nominee that year for “Here Come the Brides”
Totally forgot about her.
Great Actress♡ Bad Dress.
Dixie May I love the dress.
FASHIONS IN THE 70'S WERE PRETTY BAD.
why is she wearing a nightgown?
they wore those nightgowns back then
Not a nightgown. It was just a popular style of dress back then.
Yeah Man. Those threads were the rage back then. You dig.
Fo sho! Like the real goddamn deal! 😎😂😂
All the other sister wives wore them, too. :)
Too bad her career went nowhere after this.
She had a good stint on Hollywood Squares, and several shots at TV stardom, but otherwise yes - I think she was destined to Dinner Theatre in Sarasota Florida
Room 222 wasn't a comedy.
These awards shows are disgusting. Hollywood giving itself rewards. It’s all bullshit. By the second season of room 222 no one was watching it.
Your comment is a few years old but do at least 5 seconds of research. In it's 3rd season " ROOM 222" was tied with " CANNON " at #28 which was higher than season one where it finished 35th.
She was so obnoxious.
Stupid comment, grow up or shut up.
