The Simpsons had already been airing for 13 years at the time this aired, now it's 35 years old. This aired closer to the premiere of the Simpsons than to today. It's insane how long that show has been airing.
33 years bud.
@@halo1989100 It's been 35 years, including the Tracey Ullman shorts.
Time keeps on slippin
I remember the black and white short clips on the Tracy Ulman show, before the Simpsons even premiered. Time flies.
@@halo1989100 Tracy ulman show matt used to draw her shorts that's where the Simpsons were born they done jokes about it on the show 😂

We just find it hard to believe. But it’s just frustrating. I’m completely deaf. All I know is total silence in my 52 years. I’m married to an interpreter.

would have been great if Conan did the dance at the end of the interview
Right!!!
“Sit perfectly still-only *I* may dance”
Weird that he's never done it before as a reference.
GREAT COMMENT!
Why is his chair higher than the guest's?
They got that right in the cartoon. I wonder what else they got right about him in the cartoon.
It's amazing how the Simpsons voice actors can literally say anything and I'd sit here laughing all day long. Goes to show what a legendary show it has been.
Kids: before 9/11 we let people into the cockpit purely for the sake of comedy.
I had to double-check the date listed for the episode after hearing that. Definitely knew it wasn't after 2001, that's for sure.
You like movies about gladiators?
I remember being a kid in the cockpit in the 90's, before flying completely went to hell.
@@Sea-Salt When they joked about "it's hard to believe the show has been on for 13 years..." Checks calendar. Simpsons still on in 2021...

Shout out to the guy who yelled "Tastes like burning!"
"It tastes like burning" 🤣🤣🤣 Ralph's character is awesome
Anyone else notice her natural speech actually sounds like Bart?
You can change the pitch but the inflection stays the same. Good observation. I'm convinced that my ex is Adele because of this.
Yeardley Smith just talks in her normal voice for Lisa Simpson.
Very slightly in her cadence, but nowhere else. She slips in and out of a few of his pitches and tones, but that is it. It isn't consistent.

My ex worked with Nancy's sister. She said Nancy did an outgoing voicemail message in Bart's voice for her sister.

I was always him to do the hand dance. Surprising he's never done it for the laughs.

Nancy Cartwright is a national treasure. God bless that woman!
She is also very annoying. When we were in New York, she was approaching and was basically begged us to ask her what voices she can do. She wouldn´t back off. We´d leave the cafe early because she was so annoying.
@@bowlchamps37 lmao sure
Don't you mean, L. Ron Hubbard bless her. Lol. It's sad how much money she's probably thrown at that fruity cult.Pitiful really. She seems nice.
@@bowlchamps37 yeah right! 🙄
God bless Xenu!
I sat here and literally clapped my hands watching this. This woman is an absolute legend.
By "legend" I'm sure you mean "one of the biggest contributors to the real-life horrors of Scientology, the cult that literally robs thousands of people across the world of their income and their sanity" right?
I'm an OG Simpsons fan, but this woman is a monster.
Pft. Monster is an overstatement.
"you must be one of them whities who claps when the plane lands"
- some mean dude
Nope - she buries her head in the sand about her 'religion' when she could speak out. He should've asked her why she donates so much money to the cult of Scientology.
@@throughthewoods416: Isn’t a person’s religious beliefs their own personal sanctuary? Why would she feel a need to “speak out” about it, especially on a TV show that has nothing to do with religion?
"It tastes like burning" is one of the best quotes from Ralph.
Ralph's best line ever.
I forgot she does other characters, she has a pretty good range. I was impressed the other 2 sounds completely different from bart.
We need more BORT license plates
Come away, Bort.
10 years later - Conan's hair now looks EXACTLY like that.
Yeah thats what I thought, haha.
20 years...
30 years ...
It's called a tupee
"my hair doesn't look like that!"
Well, it does now.
Conan would definitely say to a guest "sit perfectly still. Only I may dance."
Nancy Cartwright is a voice-over legend.
Conan... 0:29 So 13 years you have been doing Bart.
i Can barely believe it has been 21 years since this aired
Even when she's in an interview, she's putting on a very entertaining performance. Fans must absolutely love her. She has a well earned sense of pride in the voices she does for the Simpsons, and loves to entertain people with them. She's clearly a big part of the reason why the show is as good as it is.
Wow, imagine the Simpsons lasting 13 whole seasons!
How quaint.
And it was never good again...
Disagree. "How I Spent My Strummer Vacation", "The Seemingly Never-Ending Story", and "Million Dollar Maybe" to name a few are excellent episodes.
Now it is 32
"The Simpsons" lasted 9 seasons only. Anything after that is NOT the same show, you would have to be insane to think it is.
She makes $300k per episode! Truly talented.
And it all goes to Scientology.
@@travisinthetrunk You mean David Miscavige?
@@Iamrightyouarewrong He probably gets the lions share, but don’t forget about all the lawyers and thugs.
The original voices are so bad
@Frank Dux Do you have any Idea how much money 300000k is? Per Episode? VO for a 30 min show is done in a single day, at 22 episodes per season, she makes more than 6 million dollars in less than a month.
I wish she had done Nelson singing that song from ‘Yentle’. She did it on NPR years ago and it still kills.
"It's not a competition."
No. No, it's not. Nancy wins right out of the box.
The woman who has been the voice of iconic male characters for decades. A legend in her own right.
Exactly. Sarah Silverman is a complete joke compared to cartwright
She kind of was when this aired 20 years ago.
Most of the best male characters at least in anime and some of our favorite cartoons as kids are voiced by women
@@leltrash5683: Yes! Jimmy Neutron, aka Debby Derryberry, my favorite.
And Sarah knows it.
Simpsons has so much predicting power.
I've gotten into a kick of watching old clips and episodes, and then Team Coco uploads this awesome video. You've become too powerful, Matt Groening!
Love this woman! Pure talent!
I thought the audience or Conan would insist she said the line.
I loved the Simpsons when it 1st came. Aside from being Bart, I had no idea until Wednesday 10-26-22 that she also voiced other roles including Nelson Muntz The Bully & Police Chief Wiggum's son Ralph.
I can't recall any animated series lasting 3 decades in production. No show on FOX has yet to beat this.
I'm glad she's game in doing it. Some celebs might be annoyed you know, "Do the thing! Do the thing!" can get old fast. But it seems shes happy to do the thing when asked by fans. Thats sweet.
She is awesome. It is fantastic how hilarious these actors are in their own-right = off the cuff, immediate, reactions. Nancy and the guy that does Homer are just hilarious.
Her landing interview "we'll be landing in Tokyo in 20-seconds". Great stuff.
I still remember the day this aired, I had finished swimming lessons at primary school and was looking forward to watching it.. ibwas hooked from the first episode and still love watching it to this day.
She is so lovely and nice, and one of the best voice actors.
It's really very endearing seeing old clips of the voice performers from The Simpsons being blown away by the reception of the audience
I love that Bart Simpson is basically just her regular voice
Yeah pretty similar
I like how meta that clip is. In the clip it's, "just do the line," in real life it's, "just do the voices" LOL. Hey just for kicks, can we get Sarah Silverman's interview?
kicks to the genitals, maybe....
Love Nancy! She was a guest speaker at my school in 2003(ish) and I took my brothers with me. It was so cool hearing her speak!
She is one of my favorites- Not just because of her talent... but she is funny and entertaining all the time! She takes the job seriously- but really is just as engaging in an interview or her Masterclass!
She’s so humble and funny. 😍❤️🙌🏽
I remember as a teen when my little sister and I discovered that Bart Simpson is voiced by her we loved Bart evermore lol 😆
I love this interview!
The voices coming from the actors.......one of the greatest joys in life
She deserves more credit, we all do. She's a great voice actress.
The most iconic animated cartoon ever ! I'm actually watching all the episodes on Disney+ still laugh like it's the first time I've seen them !
Nancy's husband: Oh yeah, baby yeah! That's the spot, don't stop!
Nancy: Don't have a cow man.
what a legend !
Wow look how close they used to sit together!
Fun fact: Sarah Silverman ended up guest voicing on The Simpsons a few times and at least once as Bart's love interest!
I remember when they were on the Tracey Ullman Show.
I see/hear the voices coming out of her 🤯🤯 I can’t believe it, she is beyond good 👍🏼.
Her natural voice is just Bart as teenager a year or two past puberty.
I love the Sampson’s! Bert is my favorite!
Sampson's what?
Isn't Bort?

Bert Kirshner?
I never realized she did other voices honestly, She is an amazing person! VERY sociable with her fans!
She is so talented!
I grew up in Europe, and still developed a sense of nostalgia for American small town life, based on this phenomenally funny and lovely show :)

@@JoseRS1186 well, I guess I've got some research to do, how did I miss this LoL
It's pretty good 👍🏽
Conan is such a ice break master!
Whenever I see her, I think of that disturbing episode she played in that Twilight Zone movie.
You wouldn't see Bart giving $10 million to Scientology like she did.
Damn... well thats why they say never meet you hero. Or never meet anyone really lol
@@victorespino5650 hahaha. 😂
Well Bart did make all those calls for scientology
She did?? Holy crap!
That's mental. Scientology? Why? What are they going to do with that money?
Say the line, Nancy
"I didn't do it!"
"Only I may dance"
My favorite was when Bart bought Marge a huge bottle of cheap perfume for mothers day or her birthday. She smelled it the smell was bad. Bart told her to put some on. Marge said " I will save it for a special occasion ". Bart said " What the hell are you talking about woman? There are 5 damn gallons there".
Interview from 00, but still fun to watch her do her voices. There's a video on here of her buying some candy from a young man for school contest outside a supermarket in Barts voice. Freaks him out when he discovers she actually is the voice of Bart.
She’s seriously so good ❤
The funniest Simpsons besides are the ones that were written by Conan. Also, the ones that were written by Al Jean were hilarious. There are a lot of Michigan references in the Simpsons, thanks to Al Jean.
Don’t forget John Swartzwelder
She was on "Wait, wait, don't tell me!" several years back and she told a funny story when she was at Buckingham Palace.
She was getting her picture taken with one of the guards and she asked him if he was a fan of The Simpsons. He made a face that she knew he did so she did Bart's voice and the guard lost it.
Amazing. Love Nancy Cartwright. So awesome
Both are legends!
Crazy to think this clip is almost 21 years old and The Simpsons is still on.
So sad that Conan died in a horrible golf cart drowning
I really hoped Conan would start dancing and Nancy would try join in 🤣🤣
This show refuses to die
A clip of Bart talking to Conan as Nancy talks to Conan. Amazing
Bart's voice is iconic. One of a kind.
Her regular voice sounds like Bart Simpson. A female version of Bart haha.

Very cheerful and positive woman!
Finally after all these years, a segment of O"Brian worth watching. Great clip.

Nancy's a national treasure. Thank you, ma'am...
She has to be the highest paid voice over actor. I can't think of anyone off hand that comes close to what her career has achieved.
Mel Blanc?
@@remaguire Was thinking the same, Mel Blanc was also more well known in his time.
This is soooo sweet
She sounded fantastic where she voiced bart
Did you know that Julius Caesar was born closer to the pilot episode of the Simpsons than we were
Math checks out
I had no idea Sarah Silverman was there until the moment Nancy/Ralphie said "I'm doing kegels" we suddenly panned out to bring Sarah into view
Yeah and what a nasty comment that came out of nowhere from her as well.
Brilliant 🤘
3:14 "Oh Sarah Silverman is also in the room" shot.
i was so bummed out when i learned shes a scientology nut... even using her star power to record robo calls in character to recruit people for the cult. really sad

I can't find any real confirmation of that, hope it's just Nancy.
@@mikeycrackson No. It's really easy to check those sorts of things before asking.
I remember her from Twilight Zone: The Movie before she did Bart's voice.
What I've always liked about her is that she just thoroughly enjoys what she's doing and gets as big a kick out of doing the lines as people who are listening to her.
I love Nancy so much!
Aww now I feel bad that everyone is basically treating Nancy like Bart in the epsiode clip. 😟
Nice
I was definitely expecting them to dance like he did in the Simpsons clip at the end.
Love this lady.
I'm not the only one who suddenly got afraid that Nancy Cartwright randomly popped up, right? I thought something happened to her and this was the first of many touching tribute clips.
That's exactly what I thought.lol
I love cartoon voice people. I always wanted to be one.
Gotta say Conan definitely nailed that transition at the end, that could have been a tough one XD
Such a wonderful lady.
