    I must brag about a 82 year old friend of mine who rode her 900 from UK to Lisbon, transported across to Santa Maria Azores where we live and uses it to do her shopping and cafe racing here. Shes a star Brit bike bird.

    Wow, loved that review! Best motorcycle review I’ve ever watched on RUclips. Straight forward and informative, just the way I like. I’m considering the Street Twin and this review helped more in five minutes than other much longer reviews ever have! And I just subbed because of her. 😎

    This is a perfect everyday commuter with some serious style built in. I traded in my old GSX-S1000 for this and have no regrets. Loving the seat height and ergonomics. Much more usable power for everyday situations and still pulls like a freight train plus it sounds absolutely amazing with the stock cans. I do miss a 6th gear but it still cruises at 100km/h @ 3200rpm and its perfectly comfortable and unhurried. Overall fuel consumption is great too at about 22km/l average.

    I bought this bike as my first bike about a month ago. With nothing to really compare it to I do love it. Two things I’d change is the peg to seat distance which is a little cramped after a while, and the top end torque, but it is fully capable of cruising at 80 mph. Just don’t try to pass. It looks awesome, sounds awesome, and I love it more every time I ride it.

    I've the "old" 2016 Street Twin. This machine was made for me. I'm happy with it. And imo the old one looks better than the new 2020 version ...especially the wheels. But there is one thing that annoys me: We have the year 2020 and the machine is equiped with stone age H4 dim light... why no modern LED?

    • @thorpluto4527
      @thorpluto4527 4 года назад

      @@katana258 I don't think so:
      A new Street Twin has a stock price of 9.050,00 € here in Germany, but no option for modern LED light in the configuator and that is not realy cheap in my eyes.
      For example a Royal Enfield Inteceptor 650 costs only 6.530,00 € stock.
      Or a Honda CMX500 Rebel costs 6.499,00 € AND has modern LED light. They are much cheaper bikes.

    Every Triumph I have ever ridden (several) all take a couple of minutes to register the new fuel level after you fill them. The wilder you ride leaving the gas station the longer it takes to register the fuel. I think it is taking an average over time so it doesn't show the sloshing on the fuel gauge.

  • @michaelwozmak6234
    @michaelwozmak6234 2 года назад +3

    The only 3 problems you have are irrelevant. You figure out the kickstand in about five minutes. Put the gas cap on top of the pump and don’t forget it. Gas gauge takes a couple of minutes to register full after refueling ? You just filled it up. I’m pretty sure you have enough fuel to get through it.

    Great review, got both this (2017), and the Strom. Agree with everything you stated. After many years of riding I've came to conclude that the ST is the best urban bike out there. LED, simple screwed gas cap and a few other mods make this bike a true beauty and function.

      Hey! I got a Strom too and love this bike. I'm considering to get it as a second ride, mostly for commuting and strolls, because of maneuverability and the looks. How do they compare to you? I wonder if I let myself go because of the aesthetics I'd regret the lack of protection. Thanks!

    • @skulbak

      @@juliaherrera6514 two very different bikes. The ST is a beautiful retro looking, nimble, quick and light bike. Its sitting position gets my back on rides longer then an hour. Its breaks are only ok. If its for a city ride, you'd love it. Take one on a test ride.

    Beautiful bike but I'll keep my Kawasaki W800 Street (looks a lot like this black version Bonnie, I think both look stunning). At least it has a hinged, flip up, gas cap and LED lighting. Those complaining about cast wheels instead of stainless steel spokes, I agree - looks wise especially with nice alloy rims, but cast wheels can use tubeless tires where most classic looking bikes with stainless steel spokes need tubed tires (yes I know some adventure touring bikes have tubeless spoked wheels).

      When you feel the need to swap your existing tyres, I recommend the "Michelin Pilot Road 4" radial tyres. I have them on my 2009 Bonneville SE, which replaced the factory Metzelers. the difference was like "night"and "day". I have never lost grip on cornering in both dry and wet road surface conditions, and they track and ride well over traffic painted surfaces and longitudinal road repairs and light rail lines. The tyre wear is very good, having close to 30000 km on my current set, with no history of punctures either.

    • @rbattson7171
      @rbattson7171 3 года назад +1

      Aaron Rodriguez. The street twin is the more contemporary of the two bikes. The tell, being the cast wheels and the raised rear portion of the seat. In contrast to the T100 having spokes and a flatter, bench like seat. But also the street twin has noticeably more power. Though the latest line up of these two bikes, this has now been addressed. So your choice now is down to cost and the looks of these bikes alone. Ride safe. 🙂
