XH2-5PK-NXF I have a very cool smash MAKER level
For those that can't read Japanese, the creators name is "negi-san"
@張家源 you are correct, but Negi-chan would sound better
You're killing it ❤
You want a more maze here code 2LL HBH PDG
Once you see the use of perspective it's brilliant, especially the timing on the wiggler.
Phendrena the person who made this deserves a medal for creativity
Holy shit yeah. I also just noticed the map!

@@Peanutdababie the genius madman... He's incredible...

I love how he tries jumping to the red coin, but misses because he forgot that it wasn’t actually 3D
It’s really cool how it tricks you like that
Yeah i just saw that he bonked his head
@@MariaElenaLabitayeah
Genius is right, the way that wiggler was timed perfect to seem like it came out of the background to foreground was beautiful
Yep, that is brilliant.
Kinda looked like it just grew offscreen and came back, but our perspectives are just different I guess.
Kelsang01 I agree with you: I’d let it wait a couple seconds before the bigger one popped on-screen.
Truly the most majestic thing I've ever seen @_@
When?
“I can’t wait for slopes in SMM2! I’ll be able to add slides and more difficult platforming for my levels.
The person who made this. “I can’t wait for slopes in SMM2! I can finally emulate the three dimensional perspective.”
Next year: I can't wait for transdimensional portal in SMM3! I can finally create a 4D maze!
Missing Link *Huah* Absolutely!
OMG YOUR COMMENT MADE ME FINALLY UNDESERSTAND
@@Neoverse105 I completely forgot about this comment. This is a super cool stage, thank you.
I'm glad I was able to make you understand! Old DOS and ASCII 3D environments/games trained me.
I didn't understand it at first but when I realized the top left part of the screen was the perspective and you had to choose your path, it blew my mind.
Wow, ik u from scratch!
@@alecream4540 I was about to say the same thing! I'm 04tmoody!
Didn't expect to see you on a mario maker 2 video...

Same that trick is so good xD
Doom recreated in Super Mario Maker 2 is next, I’m guessing.
well, it has to be ported to everything
But can it run Doom? 😉
If doom can run on a fridge, it can run in mario maker
Skyrim ported by Todd Howard
I hope so, I played this when I was like 7 and I got tots spooked, I would love to see that happen! Also now, I love doom

Charziken909 super balls can get a 180 angle across slopes
@@Charziken909 Maybe there are more uses that have to be discovered...
@@Charziken909 I use it more for ceilings than slopes. I've used it to make smooth curved ceilings for underwater caves. There are a lot of uses for it that you don't realize right away.
This is why we didn't have slopes before... they feared our power
I love how the On/Off blocks are used as a map
holy shit, i just realized
Juan Kr3M3R OH IT WAS A MAP
i don't see it. why are they supposed to represent?
@@UnleashedDan The On/Off blocks(the red one and the blue lined ones) represents the maze Mario is "exploring". The red block is where Mario currently is.
@@Juan_3M3R I'm aware it's a map, I just don't understand how you're supposed to interpret it, it seems like the directions Mario goes in don't correlate with the map properly and it skips rooms.
For those who do not see this, let me try to explain.
Go to 1:14 as that is probably the easiest place to see it. On screen there are 3 sections seperated by tan blocks. I will talk about all 3 of them, but let's start with the top left one. This is where you will see the 3D Image.
Ok, so you are looking at a hallway with a stairway at the end. On the left and right of the box there are solid walls with slopes making it more narrow as it goes towards the center. This is supposed to be a hallway. The way perspective works in real life is if you are looking strait down a hallway, the top and bottom of the walls appear to be getting more narrow and the wall gets smaller the farther you look. This same concept applies here. The blank space above and below represent the ceiling and floor, respectively. After the hall ends there is a staircase in the middle. You can see 4 semi-solid platforms rising up 1 block apart in the middle. Each platform is 1 block to the right of the previous one. These are stairs. The slopes beside them represent the railings. Each stair should appear to be going farther into the background and twords the right. Hopefully that helped.
The box on the right with Mario in it is his options on how to proceed this part is 2D. Going up to the pipe means he goes up the stairs. The doors means he will go to the end of the hall and turn right or left. The door at bottom means go turns around and goes back.
The bottom box is the minimap with the off blocks showing the passages and the on block showing your location
Thanks!
@@bfdicremurumu1581 I'm glad I could help
Golden Sun you forgot 1 thing, the arrow at the map box, is Mario’s perspective
Missied two thing: the arrow is the direction your facing, and the bricks show your floor
Wow. Never would have thought to simulate perspective, let alone a first-person adventure.
This is gonna open the doorway to so many other 3D levels and I'm excited ^_^
There should be some sort of award/reward from Nintendo, voted on either once a week or month by the players, for this kind of creativity. Maybe some swag things or something more useful like points for the eShop or something.
This was brilliant!
Like they care about players. They remove levels if nobody plays it within a week. I worked on an autoplay level in SMM1 for over a week only for Nintendo to remove it. They also delete levels for stupid false reports.
@@palaceswitcher i got Mario Maker 3DS on launch and i couldn't even upload it.
They removed global ground icicles for absolutely no reason. Literally. No reason. Why would they do that?
Like geometry dash
That's incredible! The 3D-effect, the map on the left, the diffenrently sized enemies... WOW
Took me a minute to realize everything that was going on but it’s actually kinda neat
Pls explain lmao
What's going on though? The stuff on the top left has no purpose (whatever the hell it is). Mario and the level is already '3D' style, so I don't get the praise for it being 3D. Also the map doesn't correspond to where Mario heads, so it's also useless.
Parabomb BOB The idea is it’s like a first person adventure game where you’re exploring a haunted house. The stuff at the top of the screen is your view, while Mario is largely used as your controller for moving around the house.
Oh I had to turn up my screen brightness to realize that there was a 'floor' because it looked the same color as the 'ceiling'. Someone could've simply said it was a corridor we were seeing which would've made it easier to spot imo. I will add that the maze concept still falls through though: the map serves little purpose.
@@Russ96
1. It's a 3D perspective of Mario going through a mansion
2. Forward is the direction Mario is facing, he could be facing north south west or east
It took me a while to figurate the use of perspective, but once I saw it, I was completely mindblowned

Bottom left: Floor number
Bottom middle: Map of the castle
Right: Doors and pipes representing each direction Mario can go. The directions Mario can go change according to the 1st person prespective shown in the top left.

Same, I have a permanent creative block when it comes to making courses.
Play other games, watch movies and series, read books, walk around, draw stuff, etc. Good ideas can come out of nowhere

It’s sobering isn’t it? My efforts at SMM2 are pathetic compared to this.
The 3-D effects are ridiculous👌
Show THIS to anyone who doubted the importance of slopes!
People doubted the importance of slopes? I thought that was one of the biggest things missing from the original game.
RayFlyer sadly two angles severely hinders possibilities
+[gurvmlk]
It was less "the biggest thing missed" and more "the biggest meme". A significant difference, I would say. And, as often happens with memes, while people were glad Nintendo listened and added slopes, the slopes themselves weren't really taken seriously.
@@AhsimNreiziev Well I for one thought the addition of the slopes were the most hype addition announced during the trailers. Slopes have been an integral part of 2D Mario since the third installment. Without them, the original Mario Maker felt incomplete.
This might just be the most amazing creation I've ever seen in this game
The other day I was really proud that I could get a platform to stay on a track and go back and forth. Not so much after watching this!

It is pretty cool, as people have mentioned this is a style of 3d used in early 90s adventure point and click games that utilize bitmapping to create the illusion of 3d but allowing you to directly interact with objects in the games world, although in this case, you use Mario to decide where to go via doors and pipes.
It's very unique and extremely well made

This makes me love mario maker even more!
I'll be totally honest, before I first saw this video, I was a bit skeptical, but I soon found out just how impressive the level is! Who knows, maybe someone will try to replicate something like 3D Monster Maze in this game?

Really clever level. Really looks like 3d rooms and where Mario moves like the map.
We should have more levels of this style in the game! This makes for other great concepts such as Zelda Dungeons and other horror themed levels.
Or a luigi's mansion f.p game recreation!

I had to look at it from a different angle to see the 3D effect. Amazing level!
I've seen those old games in action and I gotta say, this is ridiculous. This is one of those levels that needs sequels.

Who else got tripped by the thumbnail? Looks really real
One of the crazier parts about this that you don't normally think about when just watching;
Jump scares don't normally work in Mario games, but the first-person-perspective modes actually made certain moments have impact.
Just imagine if somehow it was possible to put in some actual horrific imagery. Or, heck, not even that, just throw a First-Person view of Bowser at a seemingly random spot.
To be honest, I am really confused by how this level works.
The guy who did this might be a level designer that nintendo needs to hire
The length of the video is 4:20.

Oh, I played that level once with my friends!
We had a bit of difficulty trying to keep the Yoshis in the flying Dry Bones room, but we still beat it. I LOVED IT!
I love how this level has a map!
The illusion is great! And the wiggler getting bigger as he comes closer... it’s so cool
This is astounding and brilliant. Reminds me of a point and click venture games of the 90s
this is absolutely fascinating. the creativity of this is outstanding
I beat the level yesterday and I just now realized the red block to the left represents where you are in the maze.
Feels bad man
the wiggler turning big was absolutely genius

Shadowgate meets Mario. I love gamer built levels and games that use every aspect of the toolbox to create truly unique experiences beyond what the engine is built for.
Video length is perfect
Fantastic level! Hope this guy makes levels as cool as this one. I feel like this is the start of a whole genre of level. It’s so unique and fresh and I’m definitely looking forward to more stuff like this in the future
3:45 I like how he make it look bigger when it gets closer
It goes from the background.
Oh, who made this level is really smart, the 3D vision was really well made.
That's really neat, although the map doesn't make any sense. Every time Mario changes positions the red marker jumps two spots.
Words cannot express how much creativity is contained within this level.

I thought I was a good level maker. But the sheer creativity here puts everything I've made to shame. This is unreal.

I don't even have a Nintendo console but I love watching people play Mario Maker the creativity to make and to beat some levels is amazing.
