Also check out these great comic book conservation channels and experts:
Jerry Jitterbug is perhaps the most watched and skilled of comic book conservators. His work is equivalent to magic and is about the only one who’s doing Leaf Casting on RUclips using a suction table. Please watch Jerry’s channel at: / @jerrythejitterbugcomi...
Dr. Paul Kosnik provides scientifically proven methods for comic book conservation and has a live show every Sunday night on Conservation. His cohosts are Phantom Phill and Captain Larry. Check Dr. Paul out at Liberty Hill Comics: / @drpaulkosnik
Larry Littlepage has an excellent library of techniques into conservation. He recently built a suction station and started leaf casting. Check Larry out at Flying L Comics: / @flyinglcomics
Peter I am really looking forward to this project. In my opinion Fawcett books are the best to work on. Awesome book and cannot wait for the procedures to come! Happy 4th my friend.
Thank you, Jerry. I appreciate you stopping by, for some reason I uploaded the video twice to iMovie and it repeats itself. I’m new to all of this but getting better. Thank you for the encouragement! Fawcett is indeed great to work on for conservation, their covers are nice and sturdy, and the colors are great, although the interior colors, especially the green washes out too fast in warm CaOH2 water baths so I tend to limit them. Thanks again Jerry for stopping by and happy 4th!
Great project. Looking forward to seeing you apply your skills to this treasure. 👍🏽
Thank you for stopping by, Dr. Paul!
Great comic - can’t wait to see each step
@@doncarter9467 thank you Don, appreciate you stopping by. It’s definitely a different kind of project so stay tuned for some new news on Conserving this book that is little known!
Cool book, cannot wait to see the end result.
@@ShelbysComics There were no takers and I ended accepting a best offer on this imo rare WW-II book. Glad to have it at a moderate price. Please stay tuned and thanks for stopping by, Shelby.
