    82 WT Cherokee Laredo, sitting on my driveway, in the UK. Inherited from a friend, who passed away too soon (leukaemia ...). His family called it 'Freddie' as it was a nightmare, to work on.
    One of the VERY few Jeeps remaining from AMC's short attempt to sell Jeeps in the UK (and Europe) between 79-83. 360 with Edelbrock, NP219, AMC 20, Dana 44 front, RHD converted.
    Needs serious work (roof is fubar, for instance) but just can't junk it. As far as i can tell it's the only 82 Cherk still registered with the UK DMV. 'Rare', redefined.

      @MOHAWKAUTO  3 месяца назад

      That’s incredible! I wouldn’t junk it, I’d try to revive it and drive it. Doing an HEI conversion will help with it running better and more consistently and is top on my list. I have ignition/spark related stumbling and the ford based system in these are awful. The Chevy HEI based system is way better.

    For such a small channel you have really quality videos. Love the Twisted scene haha. Just a recommendation, be careful reving that high of rpm. Made me nervous.

    • @MOHAWKAUTO
      @MOHAWKAUTO  11 месяцев назад

      Thank you! The truck ran for a lot longer than what the video let on. I was nervous about revving too high to soon as well. These 360 motors like to starve the 4 and 5 main bearings at high rpm and I don’t want to break into the motor just yet.

    Nice old Jeep, although mine is older. I have my Dad's 1966 J - 2000 with a 7'-0" pickup body. It has the 232 Straight six engine and three speed manual transmission. This truck was bought new in December of 1965 with 7 and one - half foot Meyer snowplow which I still plow with. My advice on your truck which appears solid is to clean it up and paint it and use it as a truck - that is what it was made for. Good luck with your project and thanks for the video. Please advise if you would like photo's of my Jeep and where to send them.

    • @MOHAWKAUTO
      @MOHAWKAUTO  11 месяцев назад

      It will absolutely be used as a truck. I’m debating whether I want to keep the patina and just protect it as it is, or fix what little body work there is and repaint. I have many other plans and hope to get started on new videos soon. I’d love to see those photos! Please send them to mohawkautomedia@gmail.com.

    First things to do I think is go through engine change fluids and same with transmission then brakes all the lights( think you might have done these already).

    • @MOHAWKAUTO
      @MOHAWKAUTO  11 месяцев назад

      You’re 100% correct. As it sat for so long, total fluid change is on the list. Brakes are…. well they exist and kinda work (sometimes). All lights work, expect for one headlight that I may have a replacement for. Stay tuned to see what I find in my boxes of parts that came with the truck and I’ll go over the future plans
