Thank you so much for this video! I’m a software engineer by profession, which in theory should help with this type of stuff 😂. My first heli build was the Align 500XT, and I found myself nodding along with your video and shouting “yes!”. It’s hard to understate the time and level of frustration involved in getting everything setup with the Microbeast/Spektrum RX and satellite... understanding the connectors, incompatible adapters, troubleshooting software issues, power options, parsing various wiring setups, reading forum posts, watching numerous RUclips videos, etc. The lack of clear documentation/diagrams is a major barrier to entry, especially given the amount of assumed knowledge. Keep up the great work. Going forward, I’ll probably go with Mikado (a dream so far) or Ikon.
The micro beast V5 has a port in the side for satellite to plug right in. I just built the 470LM and 500X and have a 500 DFC and been using a single satellite for years now and never had a problem.I’ve had zero problems with binding with a single satellite on any of my micro beastX. Super simple FBL
Hello Jeff, I have the Soektrum SPM 9745 remote receiver. Will that work on my microbeast plus? It has 3 small 3 pin wire. Thank you. Oh I have the Trex 470LP Dominator for a heli.
With a XLRS2 plugged into the side of the Microbeast Plus, I’m not clear on what type of satellite receiver is plugged into the aileron port. Is it a DSM2, DSMX, or other?
Meanwhile there is an adapter cable BXA76405. It has a 4pin connector on receiver side and a 6pin connector on Microbeast Plus side and is configured for direct connecting of both devices. Nothing to change before usage. I bought one last week. It works well regarding the servos. But I have an issue regarding throttle. The THR signal does not arrive at the ESC, hence the motor rejects to run. I have no idea whats missing here. Any clue?
Seems like too much of a problem. I think I'll just get a different FBL Maybe a FBL with integrated receiver like the beast X. I have the Align TB40 and building it now, this was a great video thanks. Just need a receiver to work with an fbl
This is exactly my issue. BUT. big but. I'm running an 8020t. And I want to use the internal governor on a nitro. Based on your discovery. It's not possible. As the plug for the Srxl2 is where you plug in the darn governor sensor. This is a joke. I'm kinda pissed. Thank you for your video. As you did confirm exactly my problem. But it still doesn't fix my issue one nitro. I have a microbeast2. And when you check the firmware update. Its stating it's an ultra. When it's not. I have had the 700 on my bench for months as well. 😢
All the new electronics have made a lot of hobbyists become more demanding of plug and play. My advice to is to research the kit before buying. Very few manuals in RC are written with a novice in mind! So read, ask around and happy flying! It seems you got unlucky in that you were trying to install as the manual updates were coming out
Man I wish I could have share my experience with u before you purchase it a much better choice ikon a walk in a park to set up compared to the micro beast which is easy but ridiculous at the same time in my personal opinion
If you’ve got a handle on the programming it will serve you well…I’ve just gotten so used to Ikon programming…I fought with the microbeast for a few weeks, then I caved and threw an Ikon on it. Nothing but flying since then. That’s one of the best parts of the hobby, by the time it’s all set-up and we get our adjustments set no two are exactly the same. Keep’em turnin, thanks for tuning in :)
Well if you read the manual.... (rtfm) it’s not that hard to setup. It didn’t take me 2 months to figure out there is a receiver setup menu and you can use srxl. Damn dude the complaining. Or you could of just connect a regular receiver to it. Again don’t understand why you subjected yourself to so much aggravation?

Thanks for the video. I built my cable and the setup was a snap.
Once you sort out what goes where and how to pop those pins out, it isn’t too bad. Thanks for tuning in!

@@nhsledfreak yes it will work no problem
@@jeffwest5080 Thank you so much for your time in helping me. It is greatly appreciated kind Sir.
Rather with the 4651t receiver plugged into the side port, what type of receiver do you have p,urged into the other port?

I have a DSMX

Appreciate the info…not sure about the throttle, maybe verify hold is off and calibrate the ESC.

I prefer Ikon…it’s mostly programming…beast X isn’t bad…I just find Ikon more intuitive.
Kevin, another great video! Thank you. Could you use this cable,
Item No
Did you ever get to try it with the Microbeast? Was there any issue with the signal? Getting ready to try it on a 760. Thanks
I did…no signal issues but I had other issues with the Microbeast…gave up…went Ikon…smooth sailing since.

很高興你也有500xt, :)
Love the 550X!!!!
Unfortunately the angle of the camera isnt that good at sometime when you Show the things
Sorry about that…it was all done before I could see the footage so I was kind of stuck with it.
