    Epic, fucking best finale for a series. I've watched crap series finales (but amazing tv series themselves) from Lost, Dexter, etc. Amazing finales from White Collar, etc. but Hannibal... Fuck man. If I were a millionaire, I'd throw in lots of cash to keep the show going. Bryan Fuller, Mads, Hugh, everything is perfect.

    "SEE?" ~ References back nicely to Garrett Jacob Hobbs. Those little touches like that are part of what made this show so great!

    I'm actually quite glad Hannibal never got popular.

      Because of the graphic and unsettling nature of the show I don't think it could've become very popular. But those who try to please everyone please no one, and Hannibal certainly panders to a very specific audience.

      Season 1 and 2 were quite popular.... season 3 was too abstract.

    Ah when they fell off together. I just melted. And I loved the whole scene of Will and Hannibal killing Francis and them two hugging. I need season 4 to happen (with both Will and Hannibal alive)! But if it doesn't I'm still very satisfied with this beautiful ending. Also love the song, I can't stop listening to it.

    I've been shipping these two since I first started watching the show. Their chemistry is just so intense. Part of me thinks that Hannibal let himself fall/pulled them both off because he didn't want to live without Will. With the wound in Will's neck and everything. I don't know. But yeah, I've only watched Silence of the Lambs, and I haven't read the books, so I don't know much of anything about canon other than what's on the show. But I ship these two so damn hard it's not even funny.

      Will actually steered them over the edge but you are right, Hannibal let himself fall. In my head-canon Hannibal offers his life yet another time to Will (previously being when he surrendered to the FBI and maybe in Florence/Verger manson) and it just shows how devoted this man is. I'm getting goose skin from all the half-resolved feelings x)

    as much as it is disappointing having the show cancelled I think the ending was perfect in that the story was focusing on the early (pre red dragon) relationship between Hannibal and will that we never really saw on screen till the show. so I think the fact that they ended it right here was perfect timing if you look on the bright side. because the red dragon storyline is the last involving will graham.

      +beatthecrowd001 I missed this finale! I'm super-mad because NBC doesn't have any full episodes on their website anymore, Netflix doesn't have any of the seasons, and my On-Demand on my TV no longer works. Agh!

    • @Javier-il1xi

      +beatthecrowd001 Well, since the rights are owned by the DeLaurentiis Company, one could say that whatever they do with the characters should be considered canon.

    Dolarhyde was a tragic figure in my opinion, Armitage did a great job portraying the struggle between the good man deep inside and the raging dragon fighting for supremacy.

    Did Hannibal love Will more than a friend? I find his interest in him more than just a friendship....maybe Hannibal was bi?

    • @Damaardk
      @Damaardk 8 лет назад +3

      +Audrey Adams none were bi ! it wasnt sexual ! it was beyond that ! they couldn't live with each other, they couldn't live without one another, oh yes they loved each other. but it was never sexual. If hannibal was gay, the infamous cannibal would turn from one of the vicious villains of all time into a gay villain, thats ofc wasn't what bryan fuller wanted.

    • @danielbryce1702
      @danielbryce1702 8 лет назад +14

      +Amr Zidan I don't think it was sexual, but certainly romantic in aspects. I don't think that Hannibal wanted to have sex with Will, but there was DEFINITELY more than friendship there. They were in love with each other in the most antagonistic of ways. They had this crazy, antagonistic love for one another. You don't do that sort of thing with your "friend." Not like that. But how would sexual orientation affect his ability to be a badass villain? You can be gay and still be a badass. James Moriarty? Badass villain. Gay. And you're also forgetting that Bryan Fuller literally confirmed that Hannibal is not only omnisexual/bisexual, but he's in love with Will.
      {Taken from the Hannibal wiki}
      "...Hannibal Lecter's interest for Will Graham goes far beyond the lines of friendship or a psychiatrist/patient relationship, as It is later confirmed that Hannibal Lecter is in love with Will Graham by both the show runner, Bryan Fuller, and in the show itself, by Dr. Bedailia DuMarier. Show Runner Bryan Fuller also confirmed that Hannibal Lecter's sexuality is "omnisexual""
      So yeah, he's not only queer, but he's still a fucking badass. It's EXACTLY what Fuller wanted. So piss off.

    • @Javier-il1xi
      @Javier-il1xi 8 лет назад +1

      +Audrey Adams The relationship between Hannibal and Will resembles one of therapist and patient. Will projected the Imago Dei onto Hannibal (Hannibal mentions this in the season 2 finale) and what Hannibal did in seasons 1 and 2 was foster codependency between them because he felt lonely and needed Will to stay with him. The nature of the Imago Dei is for the patient to break it and the therapist helps him to do it so they can become equals.
      Why do I say all of this? Because the religious undertones in the series and the whole therapist/patient relationship are what made their relationship so strong.
      Symbolically, Will destroys the Imago Dei he projected onto Hannibal by becoming a murderer, in this case, he becomes Hannibal's equal (Hannibal's therapy worked! yay!)

      I think someone asked something similar at a panel and the creators described their relationship close to a Greek romance.Maybe if you google it you can find the panel
