- Video compilation of more than two dozen jokes, comments, and observations from the animatronic Rosita bird on the dockside of The Tropical Hideaway at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
I love the clever reutilization of the opening whistle from the Barcarolle bit in the original Tiki Room soundtrack at 1:12! That's so brilliant how they worked that in as a little Easter Egg!
Well now we know “what happened to Rosita” when Jose asks “I wonder what happened to Rosita” in the original Tiki Room soundtrack.
Lots of really fun in-jokes to Disney history. Also, I appreciate the sharp editing. I know you have to wait a while to hear her speak a new line.
l literally just discovered Rosita 10 minutes ago and I would die for her
Disneyland, rosita: is comedy of gold
Universal Studios Hollywood, starscream: THIS IS BAD COMEDY
*”I wonder what happened to Rosita..”*
I think the tiger crossed with a parrot joke would be better if she said a “Macawnivore.”
I love Rosita she's awesome
Person who wrote Rosita's lines seems like they were given the task after being told they were fired.
The voice actor made her sound manic... Missed the mark with this one...
Love the concept... the execution is lacking. The voice actor didn't give her any personality and the jokes are cringe worthy, even by jungle cruise standards.
I like her voice :( unpopular opinion ig
if a real bird came up next to her it would be incredibly confused
Credit to the Pineapple Princess/Ann-ette joke....
Rosita is spainish for rose.🌹
*Josie:* Ooooh, So that's where Rosita went! On Vacaciones.
5:03 okay that ones actually pretty funny
I wonder if they make a Henry animatronic or the 3 animal heads: Melvin, buff & max from the country bears so he can interact with guests in Frontierland
The cane and hat atop the crate are an homage to the old Barker Bird who used to be perched outside the entrance to the show.
You know they must have *many* spare birds from both the Tiki Room and other attractions. And despite the money they stand to make from this location, they pull out one macaw. And the script seemed to have as much thought put into it as the rest of the media they've produced recently. This was a major opportunity that was missed. But they still make money even when they under-perform. And they are *clearly* aware of this.
Or they could have just as easily put literally nothing there and still made the money. It's a cool animatronic and a great nod to the Tiki Room. No need to be cynical.
Brandon DeLuna i agree but now i kinda realize we have a really low bar for them :/
