Why do you feed cooked rice? I give my parakeets raw veggies, but why the cooked rice? Cynthia
I wish I could hold my cockatiel :((( he was traumatized because when he was young they tried to grab him to get back to cage. Trying to win his trust back. He eats treats from my hand but does not let me touch him. Any additional tips ?
My budgies won’t even let me come close to them
Same here also but you have to be patient and have to wait for him to trust you mainly slowly talk to him continuously spend more time with him slowly he gains trust and will allow you to touch him but firstly make him comfortable around you
Yes start with stick and work your way closer
@@timothylogan1204 it doesn't like stick either though. He immediately goes away
Be patient, never approach quickly or without the cockatiel knowing you are nearby and try to teach a signal when you are going to touch it

Do you think its a good idea for my new bird's cage to be on the floor? I got her last week and she is currently in a med size cage but i am planning to get a bigger flight cage for her. The trouble is, I cant find space for it since we would need to put it on a table or something. However if I can put thr cage on the floor like in your video, that would solve the problem
Birds should NOT be on the floor bc they Get scared when they arent like high bc if you kinda are taller then them they Get scared bc they are animals that are small and wants to be safe and there cage is where they usaly spent the most time so if they are on the floor they Get very scared and feel like there not safe. So PLEASE dont do that..I didnt mean to be rude if you take it like that have a nice day everybody :)
