Hi, I’ve just got a cocktail who is 13 weeks old. It’s supposed to be hand tamed but I don’t think it is. It won’t come near is, it gets scared when I go anywhere near the cage. It’s been 6 days now and he still behaves the same. Can you please advise as I’m getting a bit worried.

Having a little problem. I've had my bird for about 2 months now and while I've made progress I seem to be at a brick wall right now. He doesn't trust hands, but likes to be scratched on his head. I'm not to approach him or he'll lunge at me, but he sits on my shoulder no problem. He doesn't play with ANY of the toys in his cage, but seems infatuated with the mirror on the dresser. He also doesn't really get out of his cage on his own, even if the door is open for the majority of the day. He doesn't seem to react to music at all. Lastly, he doesn't seem too interested in bathing. Is there something I should be aware of? Like specifically stuff I should avoid doing, change in his cage, etc?
My birdies try to bite whenever I attempt to pet them. Otherwise they love to climb up me and sit on my shoulders. What can I do to gain their trust, and let them enjoy it?
My cokateil is afraid of my hand, I can touch it with hand in his head , he is allowing me to scratch with my beard around his neck, he is very playful but somehow he afraid of my hand, not sure how I can win his trust .
When I want to go to bed he wants to go on top of the air conditioner and fly back and forth as it's a game he doesn't want to go to sleep he thinks the game
My cocatiel love for me to massage his neck Beek give him he eats when I eat together, he climes to my back while I'm watching TV etc .but he won't come to me if I want to pick him up. But my grand sons just touch doorknob to apartment his happy runs to them sits on there shoes runs after them till they they leave his vary protective of them. When they leave he will go to his sad mad perch and turn his back. My grandson put there hands out to him he will go to them.He has a sad crying sound, he picks on floor cage etc. to show he wants something. He dances up and down when I clap and dance slowly. He's vary smart and funny. His 9. months old. He doesn't come to me if I don't have perch to hold him? Any idea?😢😅❤
I took in an 8 year old cockatiel and have not been able to bond with him. He will hesitantly eat millet from my hand but he tries to bite anytime I’m close to him. I have no idea what to do to gain his trust.
I got off on the worst possible foot with my cockatiels. I don't even want them to love me anymore, I just hope they are not scared to live in my room...
What I did with my bird (she hated people and hands) when feeding your bird if he/she has a fav food don’t give it to the bird everyday, day by day hold the treat near the cage and wait for it to come to you and eat the treat when it’s comfortable put your hand in the cage with the treat and wait for it to come to you to eat the treat when it’s comfortable with that put your finger on a stick and put the treat behind your finger so he/she has to step up on your finger to get the treat when it does step up on your finger say good boy/girl so it knows it will get a reward with stepping up to get a treat, I hope it works let me know the progress and if it doesn’t work i have another way

Mirrors aren't good for your bird physiology so please try and avoid it paying attention to the mirror xx
