    I found out about my severe vitamin D deficiency in March and in two months my levels went upto 33 ng from 7. I am aiming for 55ng.I started with 4K IU of d3 then went on to 10k IU along with magnesium, fish oil,Vit k2. It was life changing! I also had to correct my severe B12 and iron deficiency with shots and infusions respectively.I took a zinc + b complex , fish oil capsule too. I also made some dietary changes by limiting dairy, gluten and sugar. I am a different person now. I used to have extreme hair fall, fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, poor balance, bone pain, weak teeth, numbness in my toes, lack of concentration , poor memory, depression, anxiety and brain fog. My career, social life, relationships everything was suffering for so many years. I feel like over 75% of my problems are gone. It didn’t take too long, only a few months for this entire transformation. Please do not ignore nutritional deficiencies . I hope this helps people 🙏🏼

    I'm dealing with vitamin D deficiency and the road to recovery is LONG! Three months ago my D3OH was at 8.3 ng/mL and I could barely walk. The exhaustion, brain fog, and pain are no joke. I hope your recovery continues and things get better!!!

      Thank you Ashleigh! I understand how you feel. I was at that painful point during this journey. I'm glad to report that I'm much better. I have some pains here and fluctuations here and there, but nothing like when things first began. Continue taking it day by day and don't focus on the time, only focus on treating yourself the best each day, eating right, stressing less, focusing on positivity, taking your vitamins, and of course getting as much natural sunshine as you can. Wishing you a full recovery soon and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Have a beautiful day! ☀️

Even now, in my upper back, it often feels like pulling or a catch in it, very achy! I notice that when my iron is low, I feel this way and I'm sure the vitamin D deficiency had lots to do with it too. I'm praying for you as well that your arm pain goes away completely. Update: it's been about 10 months now and my overall level is a 40. My new DR saying I should be in between 50 to 80. A lot of my issues are gone...ie.. muscle spasms and random muscle twitching. The heart palpitations have stopped...thank God...I still am having lower back pain and random leg pain that could be due to muscle tightness. I got checked with blood and urine for multiple test to include HIV, cancer, arthritis etc...everything came back negative so this D deficiency is my only point of reference for pain. I'm on my second dose of 50k vitamin D weekly. I did find out my Iron levels were high. So I am also cutting back on the red meat. It's a slow grind to recovery so just stick with the plan.

Also, have your iron checked, I believe there is a correlation between low vitamin D and iron deficiency, once I was diagnosed with anemia and given iron infusions, that was a real game changer for me. • @indeedlove
      @indeedlove  8 лет назад +3

      Exactly! The way we are always indoors at the peak hours, at work, school, etc.. It really has an effect on our health. Society and the way we do things today, is so not conducive to our health. There is no consideration for geographical location and climate, when it comes to health and well being. Great observation.

    I just found out today that my levels were 13 ng/ml. for the past few months, I have been extremely tired and exhausted even when I get a decent amount of sleep. My knees started hurting, then my back, then my legs felt too "heavy"? for me to walk even though I am very skinny. I couldn't focus on my workouts because the pain was so bad, every time I felt pain in the gym, I'd think I injured myself. The doctor just prescirbed me 10,000 IU daily, I hope it works.

      +Maria Adams, I'm wishing you a speedy recovery. I can totally relate. I'm just beginning to exercise with a bit of ease. Before I couldn't at all, due to the pain and for me very intense shortness of breath. All I can suggest is to be consistent with your regimen, eat properly, drink water, get lots of rest and try to stress as little as possible. I've never taken 10,000iu, but I've heard that amount can mess with your sleep, so just keep watch on how you feel while taking that amount. I hope you feel better very soon. ☀️

      Funny thing is that I had no intentions of doing a video on vitamin d deficiency. I was just feeling so crappy and at home from work so long, that I had to find something to do with myself. One of my friends whom is experiencing the deficiency too, suggested I make a video, and I did. Now to see that it's helping someone, is awesome. Outside of that, remember there is so much going on in the world, that being depressed & anxious is a by product of life sometime. Don't pull out the vodka, lol. Just breathe and if you journal try writing out your feelings, good or bad. Maybe write how you would like to feel, and write out some steps on how you could get to that point. Doesn't have to be perfect at all. And above all things, pray and relax. Healing from any deficiency takes planning and action. I've been going through this for over a year, figuring out much of it on my own. But i'm still here & I'm MUCH much better! You will be too. Everyone has thoughts they don't want to have, when they come, know what it is, just a thought then, choose to move past it. I really hope this helps...

He also takes B complex & Magnesium to help him with his anxiety & depression he was suffering after loosing his mom & a few close friends. He's doing very well now. Thanks for asking. Hey! there, I hope you recovered completely by now. Even I am a vitamin D3 deficient. It was 8.8 when checked 3 months ago. I have been taking Supplements (Vitamin D3 60000 IU per week ). My questions are 1) How long does it take to get recovered completely? 2) How long did it take for you to recover? 3) What was your vitamin D3 level when checked for the first time? 4) I have muscle tightness and pain when I wake up in the morning.. Have you experienced the same ever? 5) Could you please name the supplements that you have been taking. Your answers are really appreciable. Thank you.

    • @indeedlove
      @indeedlove  6 лет назад +5

      Sandesh Kulal, Thanks for commenting! To answer your questions... 1) The time varies from person to person for numerous reasons. Environmental factors, like how much sunshine a person is able to get. If they are supplementing, then it can still vary for some people I know personally, it took them 8-16 weeks to see significant changes and be considered in the upper number (30's, 40's 50's vitamin D levels). For others like myself, who are sensitive to the supplements, it's taken me longer because I haven't been consistent with taking the supplements ( I take them for a few weeks, take a break, then start again). Also, I live in a climate which is very cloudy most days and far from the equator, so all of these things play a role in recovery. 2) My levels have fluctuated, like I've mentioned, due to where I live and the amount of sun exposure I get, and my issue with supplementing with high dosages. Also, I'm dealing with an anemia issue as well, so I'm still healing overall. 3) My first levels were 9, which is very low. At one point last summer I got my levels around 30, my doctor said 40's, but I don't remember that happening. Then over the winter my levels dropped quickly, as I was having issues supplementing and the winter was long and harsh. So my levels dropped back to 18, and I'm currently working on them again. I've been supplementing daily with 5,000iu for the past month and I can feel a difference. However, I'm also feeling the issues that makes me take those breaks, severe chest pain, which could be associated with my anemia. 4) Yes I feel terrible in the mornings, lots of body aches, pain in my upper left chest area, lots of bones crackling sounds, and just an overall crappy feeling. This usually happens when my level are super low, or when I have too much supplements in my body, but again it could also be exasperated by my anemia, which comes with it's own additional symptoms. 5) Currently I take Natrol. 5,000iu vitamin D3, over the counter that I pick up at The Vitamin Shoppe. I also sometimes use a liquid vitamin D3 in the drop form. However, last time I visited the ER, I was told to look into a vitamin D injection, but I'd have to research that and find out more info before considering it. I hope this helps! You're welcome. ☀️

      Thanks for commenting. Yes, it can be hard to create new habits, but trust that you will feel better. I found out that I was anemic in addition, so if you can get that checked out too. Iron anemia, b-12, magnesium deficiency, vit d, all go hand in hand, so have those things checked if you can as well. My depression has lifted significantly, now I'm addressing all the health issues. Wishing you a speedy recovery, keep me posted with your progress!

      +Indeed Love I had blood work done almost 4 weeks ago and they said everything came back wonderul, except I had a vitamin d deficiency. I know my bones ache in my hands and sometimes my legs, but I believe it's because I do not exercise or eat right. I will start fresh tomorrow because I'm tired of feeling this way, and I have yet to go outside to get some sun.

      Bone aches were the worst!! Smh. My back and legs hurt to where I couldn't sleep some nights. I'm still recovering from that too. When I changed my diet I started drinking more water, then cut out caffeine & processed food as much as possible. I'm getting my workout on this summer, since my bones can finally handle it. I'll be posting videos on fitness, very soon... I'm glad your blood work is great & yes get all the sun you can and enjoy it!

I was feeling great 2 weeks ago after I found out I was deficient, then all of a sudden I crashed. I wouldn't imagine I would be going through this, but I'm glad I can relate to you because it feels as if you're wasting away, like you're going to die any moment. I have changed my diet, I went for a walk, and I want to recover over night, but I know that won't happen. :(

      @indeedlove  8 лет назад +2

      Gosh, I'm sorry your going through it. I felt the same way. Though you might feel as if you are going to die, you are not. Just remind yourself that. It got very scary for me too, I felt the same way, but you will get better, trust me I've been there. It does require a lot of rest, mentally, physically & emotionally. Don't rush yourself to get better, just focus on the changes your making and take them in stride. You will get better. Get a few hours in the sun daily if you can, that did help me. And, be sure to take your vit D supplement. I had to get back on 50,000 iu because my progress was too slow doing it my way. I'm on my 4th week of the 50,000 and can feel a difference in my body. Pain is almost completely gone, with the exception of my back pain. Keep me posted... and meanwhile rest up.

I have done my ECG echocardiogram endoscopy and what not... Doctor said my heart was fine.... All the doctors are saying that I have in society and anxiety is causing me e these weird pains all over my body and specially my chest pain.. somewhat I was not ready to believe them... I I'm having extremely dry lips... It's sometimes even bleed when the skin comes off, kind of dry skin. And people tell me that I looked very unwell... I got my vitamin test done.... And my vitamin d level is 12.... Dr never asked me for a bit test but can my chest pain and other pain all around my body and specially my wrist and my feet can be a sign of vitamin d deficiency... Can vitamin d deficiency at a level of 12 be so severe

      I hope that you are feeling better by the time you read this. You are not alone and although this deficiency feels terrible at times, it is also fairly easy to heal from. It just takes time, supplementation, getting as much sunshine as possible, and patience. My levels were 9 and I was able to get them up to 60 and felt much better. I'm currently at 17 because I didn't get enough sunshine this year, and I didn't stay on track with my supplementation. If you need to talk you can reach me here or on my IG @loveyinthemix. I truly hope you are well, please let us know in the comments. ☀️❤️

It gave me sciatica like symptoms down my inner thighs and even testicle pain. Idk why but alp of my muscles became super tight and would hurt and randomly twitch. I have lots of upper and mid back pain, that could be related to a fall I took, but also seems closely related to my anemia. Overall it's just really making me reflect on all the things I used to do with ease, that I guess I took for granted. I swear once this is all over I'm doing everything I couldn't do during this illness. So if you see me on here skydiving or something crazy, you'll know I'm back at 100% lol. Currently I'm trying to do something creative and put some sort of hip hop spin on all of this health stuff. I've been longing to get back into my element and this thing has really slowed me down... Thing is it was more like a little slip, I hit my arm and had no clue it was broken, it just felt funny. I've been a very rough and tumble mom, so I couldn't believe that little bump actually broke it. That's just how weak my bones were, this was just before finding out that I was vit d deficient. I was feeling bad, but didn't know what was happening to my body, so I thought it was all in my head. My neck/shoulder/upper back is what gives me the most problems, my spine snaps all day long like I'm doing the Rebbie Jackson centipede all day, lol. • @indeedlove
      @indeedlove  7 лет назад +2

      +Mama Fylees I was having issues walking, my right knee was a ton of pain and I didn't understand why. That progressed to where I just felt weak and in pain all throughout my body. Months later I woke up and couldn't tie my shoes, I was diagnosed with 5 slightly bulging disk in my thoracic area of my back. Was put on a round of steroids for a week or so. Currently I feel much better, but am still healing. My treatment, I got a complete head to toe check up and every test imaginable, everything came back normal except low electrolytes, vitamin d and iron anemia. I've since changed my diet away from many processed foods, to more natural. I take a quality multivitamin, which has vitamin D3, K2, magnesium, and a host of other things. I drink much more water, and now that I'm feeling stronger, am merging back into more exercise. Originally for the bone pain I was sent to a physical therapist, and the hugest thing I did to get better was allow myself to rest and get as much natural sun as I could, which is really hard in this area where I live. I took 6 months off from work because it was really that bad. But over time, I've healed. And though I still have up and down days, it's nothing like before. I still have a ways to go though....

It is supposed to be a more natural, higher quality, better absorbed vitamin D. I currently get about 500ius of my D3 in my multivitamin, then I take a separate 2,000iu. You should be able to find a good quality D3 at any health food store, vitamin store or even in some grocery stores that sell organic and good quality foods. I hope this helps :)

      +GauravLodha Hi! I personally can't give you an estimate on how long it takes, because everyone's body is different. My friend was deficient at a level 9, he is dark complexion, he took 50,000iu for around 5-6 months and his levels reached just above 50 in that amount of time. Unlike me, he was able to tolerate the high dosage of vitamin D, and his work/life schedule is way different from mine. It has taken me much longer just to reach a level 25, because I had a very hard time with the larger doses and may have other absorption issues which i am in process of being checked for. So it just depends. Best thing to do is stick to your regimen, then get checked periodically by your doctor. And of course get as much sunshine as you can like you have been doing. Hope this helps! Try to manage your vitamin d level in between 50 to 80 . 100 is its upper limit . So don't cross it .if your blood pressure is high . Try to lower your sodium intake and try to cut caffeine completely . do not consume tea and coffee or dark chocolate till your cortisol level comes to normal . You can try Ashwagandha also for it .

      Indeed's World yes, you definitely should! My vitamin D levels were always low, and the only thing that worked for me was the vitamin D3 by garden of life. My levels went from 16 to 39 after 2 weeks of taking it. Hope it works for you and good luck! :)

      +lilly smith Wow really! Did it make you shaky, anxious or have insomnia at all? Some of the higher doses does that to me, but 16 to 39 is impressive. I will definitely give this a try! Thanks again!

      Indeed's World nope, didn’t experience anything like that, I think because it is a food based vitamin so your body responds to it better. Hope you get the same results as I did! Good luck :)

      Hi Aaisha! Thanks for commenting. There is some vitamin D in milk, but not nearly enough that we need. You may want to look into a good supplement. Hope this helps! Have a beautiful day! ☀️
