The only thing worse then having the guy in the right seat telling you what to do (especially one that can’t hand fly) is having the guy in the backseat telling you what to do! No wonder you tried to leave them at OSH!! 😂
I'm so glad you got to attend the EAA! I was lucky enough to grow up only a few miles from Oshkosh. Every summer my great Uncle Joe would take me to the EAA to see all of the fantastic airplanes and meet even more fantastic people from around the world. Three decades later, and now that I live in Europe, the one thing about Wisconsin I miss is the EAA. I always try to schedule home leave so we are back in Wisconsin for that last week in July. Such wonderful memories. The Concorde. Hitting golfballs on the football field behind the high school and hearing a low rumble and seeing a gigantic black bat flying low over the treeline and straight over my head and realizing it was a Stealth bomber. The Raptors. All of the astronauts. The best memory though, has to be of all the aging WWII aviators that attended Oshkosh when I was a kid. Those guys were true heroes. Every year the War Birds perform and it never gets old. It is so sad that AirVenture 2020 got cancelled! I'll next be stateside in '22, and if the EAA is on, I'm there!
Reminds me of the good old days. We would fly to Oshkosh in the mid to late 70's in a rotary -wing aircraft, a Bell 47J2A. One year I actually got to fly with the Confederate Air Force in a B-24 during a flyover. Good times, good memories, even met Pappy Boyington. Love the fly-ins at Oshkosh. Thanks Max for another great video.
These collaborative videos are incredible. I enjoy seeing multiple, experienced pilots flying together. It's pretty amazing how humble everybody is. I suppose, the common goal is to have a safe and fun flight. Thank you for sharing. I look forward to more.
I always forget how savage Greg's humor can be: "Do they know who I am?!?" Had me laughing so hard I had tears in my eye. Of course, if I were him, I'd be telling everyone that it was Sonny Bono's private airplane.
Loved this video with 0GM. He was the first pilot I watched. Loved all of his videos. He is the OG of this era. Loved the back seat driver input as well. Awesome video.
As a 40-year Oshkosh attendee (and 30-year volunteer in Homebuilt Aircraft Parking) I was glad to see you finally made it to the show. Every pilot must do it at least once! Hope you make it back again. It takes more than one visit to really get the feel of the place and see everything you want to. I have also flown the 27 approach (years ago), but back then it was the VOR 27 approach. On one of them the tower broke me off on short final and switched me over to runway 36 downwind. Only at Oshkosh!
Max thanks for the ride..new to your channel but will watch more in the future..not bad having Premier Driver as your co-pilot doesn`t get any better...continued success Pgh. Pa Bob
totally agree Bob. I hadn't heard of Citation Max until P1 Greg intro'd him. Very impressed though. I have been watching Greg for years and he is a typical ex forces Pilot laid back but oh so thorough and safety conscious..... all the more impressive given that Max has been flying Jets a relatively short time, and yet comes across as so competent. A natural.
Great vid Greg. Having flown my Cessna 140 into OSH on opening day two consecutive years I really appreciate coming in with you guys in the Citation. My approach was a bit slower but it's a real zoo once you get near Fisk. Like flying through a semi organized swarm of bees and a few wasps that shouldn't be there. Maybe the favorite flights I ever took. Regards to all!
We get bird strikes here at the Bozeman Public Library! And we are not moving! Every so often one fly's right into the window's sometimes they live but most of the time it brakes their neck! Great video Max sets it down like a butterfly with sore feet!!!
nicely done on all fronts! Great collab, too. The experience level in the right seat was clear, he was doing a fantastic job of keeping you briefed on the stuff you needed to know, and very little else when it was getting busy.
Well done, Max! I'd heard about flying in to Oshkosh, but watching and listening had me sitting bolt upright on the edge of my seat - in the comfort of my living room. :) Thank you, yet again, for another great experience!
I was a life support specialist my first two Air Force hitches. Those cold water suits, we called 'bunny suits' with neoprene neck and wrist seals and a single diagonal zip coming from the left leg to the right shoulder. One of the instructions was, just as you complete the zip, you had to crouch down and 'burp' the suit. You needed air in them, but not a lot, or they would roll you in the water.
Catching up on some “old school” vlogs. Excellent flight, beautiful landing and, I don’t know about you, but having Premier1 Driver in the right seat - nothing better than that! Oshkosh 2021...see ya!
Max I like watching you fly and I like watching premier 1 fly.... but the two of you together was truly a great treat. I hope to join you guys in the sky before long but until then I’ll keep watching your videos, Thanks 🙏

Great video and a great show at Oshkosh this year! I heard you mention a previous trip to Cleveland's Burke Lakefront. I'm originally from that area. Would you happen to have a video of that flight?
