    If you wanna level up your homemade frames, take a look at an angle grinder with a cheap wood grinding wheel.
    I use a Kutzall wheel, but a $15 Amazon one would likely suit your needs pretty well. For finer stuff, have a look at the carving burrs for Dremels, preferably the knockoffs. You could even get a 1/4 inch die grinder, but I bet you could just stick the die grinder bits in tye drill press

      I just bought some burrs for my Drexel. Should arrive tomorrow. I just happen to have a few more forks laying around to play with.

      @@ATOMark awesome, it'll definitely be faster and more precise for you. Should make things less tedious. Be sure to wear a mask or have a pretty strong fan though, I wouldn't recommend breathing sawdust.
      Also, I was wondering if you could mention my Thingiverse page under the same username. I'm taking a college course and am using their $30K scanner to scan a couple dozen frames that I like. I have about 15 posted already that are free to download/3D print.
      I'll probably be bringing a bunch of them to the NH meetup whenever we do that

    Good job mate. How much money did you spend on sending belts and sandpaper? You have nerves of steel. You need a bandsaw and a router. The outcome is amazing. Very beautiful and effective slingshot. I really admire how much effort you put into your projects. Rain, snow or shine.

    • @ATOMark
      @ATOMark  Месяц назад +1

      The sanding belt I have on there now has made 2 knives and 3 slingshots. I did all my ruffing out with it. I am going to start with a band saw. Got to save my pennies, though. I have a few more forks laying around so I will get them build and maybe raffle a few off. We will see. But ya a bandsaw would really speed things up. For now it will just be natty's in the future who knows. I love the process of building things. It brings me to a place of zen. Lol. I did order some proper burrs to speed things up. Should be in tomorrow.

    Awesom video, but isnt birch a soft wood? Everybody in every video allways says to use hardwood so i dont know? You think it will not break?

    • @ATOMark
      @ATOMark  Месяц назад

      Birch is like a medium hard wood. Much harder than pine, willow, spruce and poplar.
