Hats off to the Dodgers, they thoroughly outplayed the Mets in this series. As a Mets fan, this was one of the most exciting playoff runs and seasons that I've ever seen, so despite the way it ended I'm proud of how resilient this team was all season! It was nice to finally edit some playoff highlights this year that didn't feature the Mets losing in embarrassing fashion!
the dodgers walked 42 times in this series. they undoubtedly watched the Phillies/Mets film from the NLDS and saw how Mets pitching tries to get you to expand the zone. the dodgers stayed extremely patient and forced mets pitching to actually come to them. forcing guys like jose quintana to actually throw their 89 mph sinkers down the middle is almost certainly betts than swinging at pitches in the dirt like the phillies did every at bat.
I'm 53 years old and a lifelong Dodger fan. I grew up in Elysian Park And 43 years ago I was 10 when the Dodgers faced off with the Yankees. I remember the upset. Well. It's payback time!

Both LCS were a study in contrasts One series went 6 games but lacked a memorable game The other went 5 games but gave us 3 instant classics A case of quality vs quantity

Majority of teams can't compete with NY and LA markets, the teams make more money and can spend more because of the population of their home. Which gives those teams an advantage to begin with. They have some of the highest payrolls in MLB right now at 250 million into the 300s while other teams can't spend more than 150. So these teams get to just pay more money to steal developed talent from teams across the league and we get to see the same teams year in and out go to the playoffs. Until the MLB puts a salary cap in place causing these teams to actually have to manage and be smart like the rest of the league, then it'll be more fair lol
