they do, they have MLB Vault. But after promises of regular uploads this year they have barely touched the channel unfortunately. Look at WWE Vault, a new channel committed to promoting the history of WWE and they show off so much rare or incredible stuff. Ditto to the NFL Throwback channel. MLB needs to learn from these channels that deliver in spades on the history and give nearly daily uploads.
I don't get why MLB is just sitting on these classic games at their New Jersey MLBAM office and refusing to upload such full length games??. Even a reasonably priced subscription service just for these classic games, I shall happily pay for.
The Phillies overcame a 10-run deficit in a home game against the Pirates the previous year. In that one, Pittsburgh went up 10-0 in the top of the 1st, causing Pirates broadcaster Jim Rooker to say something like, "If we lose this game, I'm walking home to Pittsburgh." Well, they did lose, as Philadelphia overcame that deficit. Steve Jeltz, who rarely homered, had 2 in this game. Rooker didn't walk home that day, but after the season, he walked across Pennsylvania to raise money for a charity.
This is considered the second biggest comeback in MLB history in terms of percentage chance to comeback to win, with the first one being a 1952 game between the Cubs and Reds. In that Cubs-Reds 1952 game, Reds were at home and they were up by 6 runs entering the 9th inning. The Reds retired the first two Cubs hitters in the 9th inning, but then the Cubs scored 7 runs in the 9th to take the lead, and then won it in the bottom of the 9th
What some people forget is Terry Mulholland had just thrown the first no hitter in a long time for the Phils just 6 days before. It was this window of a week that made 1993 not such a surprise for me.
On the exact 10th anniversary of this game, August 21, twenty hundred, a game in the now-defunct Appalachian Rookie League had a very similar comeback. That time, it was the home team who was down either 11-1 or 11-3 going into their half of the 9th and walked it off by getting to 12 runs.
NL West division was very competitive in the 1990s, with the rise of the Braves, Barry Bonds coming to the Giants, Padres being competitive again in the second half of the 1990s, and then the two expansion teams that became competitive very quickly (Colorado, Arizona).
More of these, thanks. Sincerely, baseball fan.
From what I remember the Padres did this to the Dodgers in the early 80s and if I remember right the Marlins did it to the Dodgers in '93.
mlb should make a whole separate channel dedicated to this type of stuff
id watch this stuff all day

Giants fan - I will always watch a video that comes up in which the Dodgers lost.

They’re so outstanding!
What a comeback! Wasn’t it great to see actual bunting!

5:57 This "home run catch" turned out to be a big play in the end
Kruk!! ❤❤❤
Is this the Giants, Padres, Phillies fans favorite game!!
After 1988, the Dodgers became very inconsistent in the 1990s,

I was at that Demsey & Dykstra fight!
THE KRUKERRRRRR
Be nice if they post the whole game
I wish they used the Philadelphia broadcast.
And to think, 23 runs scored, and only 1 home run hit.
Not sure who is worse to listen to: these two announcers or Yoko Ono singing.
Chris Berman sounds annoying AF 😑
Yeah, the dodgers had a complete meltdown that night.
Chris Berman.. the absolute WORST announcer ever.. Ever
