- A really beautiful approach into Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS / EHAM) and landing on the Polderbaan after a great flight with British Airways on this 737 from London Gatwick.
PLEASE READ:
A last minute trip was organised to the Netherlands. Flying out to Amsterdam and then travelling by train down to Rotterdam where we would stay. The return flight would be with Cityjet on a Fokker 50 into London City Airport, my first flight on a turboprop!
Amsterdam Schiphol is a really great airport and the long taxi from the Polderbaan to the terminal was great as I got to see lots of different aircraft including two KLM MD-11's and the newly delivered Arke 787.

I'll be visiting Amsterdam on November of this year. I can't wait.
I like the view I get approaching Schiphol from South Florida.
Seeing the ocean, boats, then the dunes, farms, houses.
It's all very cool after crossing the pond.
Nice to see the flaps doing their work as it should be in order to slow down the plane step by step.
And, of course as usual, the speed brake and the, at least in my ears, beautiful sound of the thrustreverse to slow down the speed more on the ground.
To me it's always fascinating that humans are able to fly.

What scenery of Amsterdam? Amsterdam was not in sight for one second. Amsterdam is miles away and on the other side of the aircraft
The town you saw is Haarlem. Amsterdam is on the other side of the plane.

I remember landing here when I was 8 on KLM from Houston. I remember the next terminal over was a JAL. Big airport indeed.

Most times I flew into Schiphol it was early morning's and foggy until the plane was almost landed before you could see the runway..
Nice to see the other side for once and in excellent quality. Of course the weather conditions helped a lot this time, but I always wonder what people can see if one of the many planes flies over when I'm working. (Tata Steel IJmuiden)

Thanks! Yes we did some spotting from the panorama terrace for a few hours, then we went into Amsterdam and then to Rotterdam :)

Thanks! I film with a Sony HX20V for all my videos! I hold it and dont use a tripod when flying on planes :)

The aircraft they were in was the 737 - 400. It was also British Airways..
