if you didn't realise, it was bombed. They rebuilt the tower a little off the original place for events, and there's a full copy in Aviodrome, Lelystad. :)
Its crazy how the camera works to obscure the city slowly being constructed around the airport and then at the end it pulls away to reveal a completely urbanised floodplain. Very clever

Met de naam "Amsterdam Airport Schiphol" wek je ook de indruk dat je je in Amsterdam bevindt wanneer je op dat vliegveld bent. Hoewel ik daar wel begrip voor heb.

While LHR is busy comtemplating, when, where, how, etc...should the 3rd runway be built, Amsterdam Schipol airport has 7 runways & we may see this airport expanding further.
