I know you went over several units in this video but I would love to see a video or a series of videos going over each unit and what they are best at in the game.
I have been running the kill rigs as a hunter rig. I use it like a tank/distraction. I send it off to secure my easy deployment primary drop 10 snags in the back of the objective then block any challenge units from grasping. If it lives then thoughts the beast bost an extra 3" for the whaagh and then makes for their home objective. If they don't deal with it it is a big problem late game. It also nice When it blows up you get to reroll the disembark having 21 snags in there it can keep them alive. Battle Wagan I know would still be better but it's what I got. The main reason for using it though is I got 2 at the end of the last edition and I fell sad that there not that good. Love the vids helps me more than you know :)
Roast my plan: 2x grots, camp points 1 Snikrot to go with 10 kommandos, either hold a location or flank. 1 grot, 1 squigbomb 10 more kommandos to flank/harass, 1 grot, 1 squigbomb 20 boyz to do front attack with 10 boyz to cap/flank/whatever 6 squighogs, 2 squigbombs, 1 nob, with 1 warboss on squigsaur to go behind them. 3 squighogs, 1 squigbomb, 1 nob, will flank on another front. Would love those big ork tanks from forgeworld, but idk if its ever worth it.
Currently undefeated in my last 8 games with this list. Mozrog Skragbad Zogrod Wortanagga 2x12 burna boys with 3 rokkit launcha 2x10 gretchin 1x20 gretchin 2x4 grot tanks with rokkit launcha 2x gargauntuan squiggoth with supa kannon
How about one for Da Revolution!? What are the applications of Grot Tanks and Mega-Tanks? Can Grots win with a rocket gunline? What can the Waaagh do for a shooty Ork army?
Iam a Warhammer 40K Beginner from Germany and want to start building my own Green Army in 2024. Iam grateful for all the free Info and Tips you are providing for the community! "Orkz is made fer' two fings! Fightin', and winnin'!" PS: You do a very good job in explaining everything in an exciting non-boring manner. 👍
Love your style of videos! Been super useful for someone getting into Warhammer and trying to be better like myself. I'm a sucker for educational gaming content with power point slides.
Just started my ork army with combat patrol and the 2021 killdakka box along with some killa Kans and leaders. Fast nasty list with scouting gretchin, teleporting boys, and clanky bots.
Amazing video! Are you planning to make one for the new codex? I am a beginner and I would be really curious if it is still worth to buy the old combat patrol (I like it more) or the new one is more appropriate l. Thanks again!
Great video! The format you chose (breaking in-game functions into different units that perform those functions) was super clear and helpful. Wish videos like this existed for the other factions I play!
Just started Orks, really excited to play and kitbash, any ideas how to get the most out of deffdreads? They're my favourite looking unit, i know like you were saying theyre nit exactly competitive but that doesnt bother me, just as long as its a little effective for a good game, im happy
No problem! If you want to maximize them i highly recommend either 4 klaws, or 3 klaws and one scorcha! But honestly magnetize it! I think deff dreads have the potential to be amazing by the way, they just need to be a bit cheaper!
Perfectly timed, I picked up 2 of the Battleforces to start my Ork army, 2024 is looking green! Shame the Kill Rigs aren't so great in game (yet), but damn they're great centre pieces.
Great info as always! some questions: 1. are flashgitz really worth it? for that amount of points invested you can get more beast snaggas and additional distraction boss with charge reroll, no? Cause I loved your previous list with mozrog and second Boss on squig. 2. your list now is 2005, and those 5 points are the problem of orks. 3. No stromboyz? I usually take two squads, one for countercharge of moveblocking screening units, second operates from DS.
Thank you for your support and questions! 1) Yes, when led by badrukk, they 100% are, without badrukk.... they suck 2) My list is not 2005 :) it is 1995, please do your calculations again. 3) No i do not need stormboys at all. This is not the same as me saying they are bad, they are not.
Just started playing Orks. Love your video. I ended up getting a gorkanaut cos it looked awesome. I’m assuming not great for playing though. Thought it could be used as a tank/damage dealer. Any redeemable qualities? Ill look into your discord also :) Thanks from Australia
hi mate, Great video! I was wondering if you could suggest a 1000 p competetive list? Im just starting out, and having a hard time navigating the codex :) Visually I love the warbikers. Best regards
hey buddy, i generally dont recommend trying to build "competitive 1k" armies. In all reality 1k is just meant to learn the mechanics of the game. But the game is seriously NOT balanced at that point cost. It is made to be 2000 pts for a reason. So just use 1k to learn your mechanics, and take what you like for now!
Awesome video. I'd love to hear your thoughts about enhancements, either here or in a companion video. Which are worth taking and what units are they best for? You talked a lot about Killchoppa but not so much the other three.
Fantastic video and advice, just played 10 flashgitz and badruk for the first time. My god they are good aren’t they. And to have some overwatch from them is really powerful, especially when you’re running a melee army. Keep up the good work 😃👍🏻
Thanks for you support and question! Almost never. The waaaagh is how we get to our enemy. The only time i see a turn one waaaagh is on search and destroy with an opponent who deployed stupidly close
Hello, I'm new to 40k, started collecting only about a month ago and bought the combat patrol with regular boys, deffkoptas and deffdread. I've been trying to make a list of 1000pt to play with my friends and figured i could buy the "Boarding patrol", in the video you mention that it's very good because it has 2 units of BS but it actually has only 1 unit and the other 1 are kommandos, is the patrol still worth buying?
It has amazed me the number of viable units for orkz. While there is a meta, it feels like there are only two or three must take, and then a bunch of decent units.
Heeey Krumpin! I'm thinking to start orks again (only have 600pts), but I can't decide if it is worth it to buy the next value box, due to the vast majority of minis that Orks have. Having a lot of units means a lot of possibilities of building lists, but it makes the army more expensive. The main problem is the continious balance of the game. I spend a few bucks on a dakkajet last year and now is one of the shittieest unit. Shall we all wait for the codex? TY :D
Well generally speaking newer models are more likely to stay relevant. The snaggas are the newer models and are currently the best, its unlikely from a marketing standpoint GW pivots to making its "older" models better, so i think you are safe. The Christmas box is a great value as well, as I belive it is a 37% discount. Its a little risky as the killrig is currently shit. Buuuuuuut luckily the codex is on its way, AND the killrig is a beautiful model to just collect even if its not great for use :P
Placed 8th with 2 wins and 1 loss! Both wins were 100% shooting armies so the games went very similar to your ironstorm video! Couldn’t be more happy with how it went, thank you for teaching me and others!! My loss was against nids and I had real trouble krumping through his big heavies, just not enough -2’s and -3’s making it up the board (short side deployment so I had a long distance to travel)
Wish I could get into the beast snagga competitive lists...but snaggas are just so expensive to purchase, not to mention the squighogs and beast boss. Because of that reason I usually run Ghaz with all the boys I've had from the previous editions. The lethal hits atleast gives them a bit of killiness.
Why have Beastbosses fallen out of favour? with there being a lot of monsters and vehicles running around I would think you would want 2-3 in every list?
@@Happykrumpingwargaming007 Thanks for the reply, been out of tournament 40k for a few months so trying to get a handle on the meta. Your channel is incredibly helpful mate.
I have been playing orks since 8th, im not a competitive player, and am mega casual. but oh my god i constantly die by turn 2 as orks. i have lost 1400(ish) points on T1 my current record for orks is 3/16. I think beast snaggas look stupid AF and wont use them
haha okay man, well not taking the best units in the index is not going to help your win record :P . It does sound like you are having major positioning errors. Make sure you are using the recommended terrain layouts and are not getting screwed by using to little terrain
Might be informative if you already know something about 40k, but as a newbie there was so much in the first 5 minutes I had no clue what you were talking about…I need another guide, sorry.
This video was made for me, and no one can convince me otherwise. Stoked to start these Orks up

Is it possible to build a decent walker based list? A whole army of Dreads, Cans, some Meks and other fire support or something like this?
For casual play? Sure, but no chance in competitive play. Perhaps that will change with todays dataslate!
@@Happykrumpingwargaming007 I guess Cans are a bit more reasonable now. Sadge for Dreads but there is still hope for new codex
