That doesn't stop the fact that there were countless astonishingly amazing games on the Wii, channels of endless entertainment like Netflix & RUclips, and with the Nintendo Digital Library: access to more games on one system than ever before. Yeah, you would occasionally run into a lowbrow game on the Wii, but most of my games on the PS1 were incredibly buggy. The Wii looked crystal clear in comparison. 360 may have looked better, but goddamn did it's selection pale in comparison to the Wii (at least for me).

I don't carry my Switch around like I did my 3DS. But it would have been nice if they had done it anyway. Those Street Pass games were surprisingly fun. I travel a lot, so it was also cool to see the states and countries get added to the map in the plaza as I tagged other people's systems.
honestly the only issue I had with streetpass is that you could only have 10 games using it, because I would constantly get games that had that feature it really bothered me that I had to pick and choose.

I'm still kinda bummed that the Switch didn't have any cool little features like the photo channel or anything. Only thing you really get to do on it that isn't an actual game is the mii maker, but it's just been reduced to a random section in the settings, and Miis are practically nonexistent in Switch games

Fun fact: The internet browser for the wii became free around 2009 or so. I distinctly remember because when it did nintendo gave everybody who bought the internet channel 500 wii points. Which I then used to buy Kirby's adventure on virtual console...

That's what they do at Nintendo. Keep shit fresh and fun. That's why the Wii was the biggest money maker of any console ever...and at half the price.

@GamebroTV You must be new to the gaming community, but in case you didn't know, every console in videogame history from Atari to Genesis to NES to 360 to PS2 to Wii all had one thing in common: SHOVELWARE. That doesn't stop the fact that there were countless astonishingly amazing games on the Wii, channels of endless entertainment like Netflix & RUclips, and with the Nintendo Digital Library: access to more games on one system than ever before. Yeah, you would occasionally run into a lowbrow game on the Wii, but most of my games on the PS1 were incredibly buggy. The Wii looked crystal clear in comparison. 360 may have looked better, but goddamn did it's selection pale in comparison to the Wii (at least for me).
Tbh it was a huge missed opportunity to name the Wii U the Wii 2 just imagine the phrase "we too" as the Wii 2 used so many times it was GENIUS

the wii was my first time actually watching RUclips as a pass time before that it was just whatever was on cable. i used to put it on for my brother before we went to sleep then from the top bunk i'd control it all the way down on the floor (which was a pain to point at). i found some of my favorite youtubers while watching this way and i'll never forget that

I just modded my Wii to play my games on PC, pretty easy and it's so rewarding to be able to play Sonic Colours on HD with an Xbox One Controller

I don't carry my Switch around like I did my 3DS. But it would have been nice if they had done it anyway. Those Street Pass games were surprisingly fun. I travel a lot, so it was also cool to see the states and countries get added to the map in the plaza as I tagged other people's systems.

honestly the only issue I had with streetpass is that you could only have 10 games using it, because I would constantly get games that had that feature it really bothered me that I had to pick and choose.

I'm still kinda bummed that the Switch didn't have any cool little features like the photo channel or anything. Only thing you really get to do on it that isn't an actual game is the mii maker, but it's just been reduced to a random section in the settings, and Miis are practically nonexistent in Switch games
Honestly I wish the switch had a camera on it like the 3DS. It’s a portable console so it makes sense, but it makes sense why they didn’t add it.

Unfortunately, i recall reports from back in the day that said that Miitopia (as fun as it is) downright _bombed_ commercially, summon that with the discontinuation of Miitomo and one basically gets the reason why Nintendo has been burying the poor Miis sadly.
The worst thing about the Switch UI for me at least is not having fun themes like the 3DS.
This man talked about the weather, news, pictures and a character creator for 18 minutes. And I love it.
