My Savage loves those 75 Grain bullets from Hornady. Three fouling shots and she will shoot one hole 100 yard groups all day so long as she don't get hot.
Currently dealing with the same issue. 75 Vmax are good in my Winchester Coyote, 58's not so much. Then went to 87 V Max and their the ticket. I reload and the Winchester likes the 87's. My other 243 also an old Winchester likes Sierra 85 HPBT. Not fur friendly at all.
My Sako 85 grey wolf in 243 shoots sub moa with 40/42grains of Varget topped with the 70 grain Nosler ballistic tip varmint bullet for your rifle to like the 70 grain varmageddon makes perfect sense, the Nosler bullets are definitely more fur friendly vs the Hornady Vmax
Hey Brandon just got the end of your part of your shoulder with your 243 comparing your bullets the tibia shoots pretty good 👍 I hope to see you both one day soon. Keep up the great work. Dwayne frm sask canada 🇨🇦
Jumping from 100gr to 58gr is big change, last two shots on 58gr touching, would have been good to see a number of 3 shot groups rather than a single 5 shot Also interested to know if the barrel was allowed to cool between groups?
58s reloaded down to 3250-3300fps are pretty good on fur...75s not so much, 100 grain soft point work ok most of the time small hole in, 25-50 cent piece out.
Not sure what you paid for that gun but my Savage Axis 2 will print 1/2-3/4” groups at 200 yards. I was thinking I needed to step up because I want better.
If you have a savage shooting 1/4 moa go buy a lottery ticket, you’re lucky. Look at tikka or browning this thing was overpriced and I have some regrets about buying it. If the quality was there it would have been worth, unfortunately quality is not up to par for price point in my opinion.
Have you continued to stick with the 75G Vmaxx or changed it up since this was posted? Curious as im shooting the same tikka 243 roughtec and the Hornady Vmaxx costs so much over here in Australia. Really enjoying finding your channel.
Thanks Jay, I’ve been shooting the Winchester ballistic Silvertip’s 55gr a bit lately it shoots it well verdict is still out on how it is on fur though.
Thanks, I only just grabbed a few boxes of them but havent been able to get a chance to shoot them. Really enjoying the channel since i found it, and enjoying the scope cam footage as well.

Look like you have many long range. So which one you think you like the most?
Sierra blitzkings work excellent out of my 22-250

75 V-max flat out hammer coyotes. They're not fur friendly though.
Get a resonator put on your gun 58 grain V Max 100 yd hit same bullet hole 2 hundred yards same bullet hole.
I've got a 243 never shot worth c*** put a resonator on the barrel went back and bought other 2 that he had
I'm guessing your Tikka barrel has a twist rate of 1:9...
1:10

I can't understand a word you say when you describe your rifle. The first word I understand is "chassis".
Can't understand you. Please speak clearly when you're describing your rifle
