I am one of Dr Dray's subscribers and recently bought this oil on her recommendation. However I was unable to get the fragrance free one. I am in my 60's and have sensitive skin but found this oil excellent to use as a double cleanser. You do not have to use as much oil as you demonstrated, a small amount only has to be gently smoothed over the skin and eyelids. After rinsing I follow up with Neutrogena extra gentle cleanser (fragrance free) to remove sunscreen, foundation and mascara using a micro fibre face cloth. This process thoroughly cleans my skin and I have not had any adverse reaction to it. I will say that I am not keen on the strong fragrance and would prefer the fragrance free product.
I have a very sensitive skin, prone to eczema, especially on my face, I use so much tinted mineral sunscreen, I use this to double cleanse, it dissolves it very easily, does not break me up nor gives me eczema. PS I can’t tolerate balms that have emulsifiers in it already, I get eczema.
I like your analysis and explanation! I started using it to oil cleanse about a week now, and I felt like the first time I used it, it left a film on my skin, so I went to youtube to find out if I was doing anything wrong. I found Hyram's video on how to oil cleanse, and I realised I wasn't spending enough time rinsing it off, so since then I've been trying my best to rinse it off before going in with my cleanser. So far it's going well. If I have any negative update i'll edit my comment in a few weeks 😁
I was on Amazon looking to purchase this oil. I found a review that stated they were purchasing to use as double cleanse on their face. Guess what RUclipsr recommended it? Yes, Dr. Drey. I'm not intending to use on face but body only. I heard people say they have used this products for decades and swear by it. Wish me luck!
My mom has been using this as long as my life (I'm 45). I have been using it off and on for most of my life just as body oil and it's so much better than perfume or other lotions/oils. The scent is nice and light and guys looooove it lol.
did you rub it in on dry skin for 2 minutes 5 tops? and then wash your face afterwards and then tone? perhaps your pores looked larger from them just being clean. I've been using it recently and have even noticed sebum and black heads come out of my nose pores into my hands by massaging the oil in for up to 2 minutes
I did this body oil cleanse for the first time last night followed by the Cerave face wash. My skin felt nice after my shower, but this morning skin looks bad plus I have two blemishes.
The Burts Bees cleansing oil gave me little breakouts on my forehead and I haven't broken out up there in years. There is coconut oil 8n that which does break me out. I say that to say, maybe there are particular types of oils that aren't good for acne prone skin. Someone said this in a video, I'll try and find it and I think she's a professional.
@@viciousnutella You're welcome! I haven't found a single video besides that one that breaks down oils for different skin types. After watching it, I ended up with Palmers cleaning oil because it lists some of the oils she mentioned were good for oily skin and I've not experienced a single breakout using it. It's cheap and you can get it pretty much anywhere.
Thanks for the review. I had a major major breakout and while I think I ruined my barrier with too many actives , (now repairing with cicoblast baume b5) im also using this body oil for my face as a first cleanse and I don’t think it’s helping. I feel a film after cleansing and even after using my cerave cleanser. I’m going to back to Clinique take the day off balm.
I find oils to "tug" at my face. I don't like to have to really rub my skin to get sunscreen off. I have dry, sensitive, and mild rosacea. I think for the summer I'm gonna go back to Clinique's Take The Day Off Balm. It's expensive but oh well. Thanks for this video. VERY helpful!
You should look up the kose oil cleanser, it’s by a Korean brand and you can find it on Amazon for $9 ... the oil does not tug at your face and it’s very lightweight and does a great job at removing makeup and sunscreen !
@@Mimi-jg4xy do you have to use a washcloth to remove it? Or does it rinse off with water? I have sensitive skin and using a washcloth just irritates my skin. So I've been looking for oil cleanser that doesn't require using a wash cloth or micro-fiber towel.
Yeah I have no idea why she thinks there is a difference... skin is skin. Its the same layers regardless of where it is. May as well just be called a skin oil (though it sounds weird).
You're overstimulating because of the "extra work" you say you're doing which will cause more sebum/oil to fill your pores therefore your pores appear larger. Really annoying when people make these videos without facts.
Been using the Neutrogena body oil for about a month as part of my double cleanse method and I've been having no issues with it so far!

It's so nice to hear from someone about my age speaking of skincare.

Your skin is gorgeous. Does this oil remove stubborn lipstick? 💄
Dr Dray is a total cap accordingly to me

So glad you enjoyed the review and found it helpful. I am a fan of Take The Day Off!!
@@marylynnking6462 I too am a fan of Take The Day Off. It is recommended by Angie of Hot and Flashy, too.
I did the same and I think it is breaking me out
I’ve been using this for a few weeks, and I’ve been noticing a lot of break outs as well...
I use it on my face and no issues. Oil doesn't make your pores larger 😂😂
Thank you for this. I watched Dr. Dray’s video and had this oil in my Walmart online cart. I think I will delete it and look for something else.
