This is the first time I’m really trying at nano and I just his 12,250 words! It’s the most I’ve written in four days for nearly two years!
I love that you're so open about the importance of drawing boundaries for your mental health. It is a great shoutout for us all to be mindful of our own mental health. Creating boundaries doesn't get enough attention, so you should get extra kudos for being a role model. Have a fantastic retreat!
A writing date, that seems like a fun idea. It is nice to have an in-person writing buddy sometimes. Love your content. Can’t wait for the next.

I love that Ulta is part of date night haha! It's always fun to get a small glimpse into how George supports your writing career, and how well you two work together.
I love the idea of short updates for the days while you're on retreat, then a larger vlog once you're home - when you first mentioned the retreat in this video, I even thought about how it would be nice to get an overview of how the entire retreat went, since I'm sure there will be lots to share and it might be hard to fully reflect on the retreat while you're still in the middle of it. Can't wait for that video!
NaNo is going well for me, I hit 11k today and I've been making steady progress with surpassing the word count goal every day. I've got a 12 week old at home 😱 so I wasn't even sure if I'd have time to do NaNo this year, but it's been a good start to the month, just squeezing in 15min sprints during naptime. Can't wait to see where we're at by the end of the month!

I unfortunately did not manage my preptober well at all so I have to spend November outlining instead and shoot for a year end novel instead which works for me. Regardless your daily blogging has just somehow got me motivated to write more which is something I haven’t really felt in awhile, so thank you for that! Good luck to everyone participating in NaNoWriMo and happy writing!

Girl…. I am 100% with George on the microfiber cloth! I get chills when I touch them and not in the good way. It’s the feel of scratching a chalkboard to me. Apparently, he and I was in the minority!
Side note from authortube, I also watch a lot of cleaningtube and appreciate that caddy

I listen to music usually! Sometimes playlists with words but when 8 really need to focus it's usually house music.

I hope you have the best time on your writing retreat! Nano is going good so far. I hit 10,100 words today. I wasn’t sure I was going to get to write today because this was shaping up to be a super busy Sunday, so I wrote more all week to prepare. I did manage to squeeze in a little time today after all, so I’m in decent shape. Looking forward to your little update videos. Have a fantastic time!

The day before I started my first NaNo my then husband told me he wanted a divorce. Needless to say it was a slow start. You can start slow and still finish strong. (I won on the last day.)
