I just love hearing Tim explain these songs; there's such an honest and vulnerable tone to his voice. You really get a deep sense of the feeling and emotion that he puts into the Keane music.

Thank you very much by doing this tutorial to " Strange Room".
13 years ago on the eve of your first gig in Oporto ( Portugal) a radio promoting the gig launched a contest and the question was what was the name of Keane' s piano keyboard player. My girlfriend ( and now wife and mother of my two children) text me an SMS asking the answer and as Keane fan, I sent the answer. We won two tickets for the gig.
Went back to watch this year gig in Oporto and was truly amazing.

Thanks for posting this Tim. Such an insight how the track is put together. Did you fully come up with the whole track before thinking of any sort of melody? And how much did the song change if any when the four of you got together . And you talk about the emotion this song brings out in you all, why is that ? I am a very late but now massive Keane fan. I love most of the slower softer tracks but Strange Rooms maybe tops the lot. The first 10 seconds are so evocative. Thank you for a beautiful album
