    Forever in your debt for this. With no previous piano experience I have taught myself the entire song using this video. It took 7 or 8 months but I am so very happy! The only flaw I have is, when I record myself playing it to show to others, I make a handful of mistakes (wrong notes) due to nerves, but when I play it for myself (currently it's also the only song I am able to play) most of the time I make 1 or 2 mistakes. Again, so very happy, thank you!

      I feel your pain! I reckon it would take me the same amount of time, and I definitely play better on my own than when I perform in front of people or record myself for social medial 🙈

      Know the feeling! At 87 just learning to read the music & play first 30 seconds but glad to know it can be done from scratch. The video is really good to confirm the notes are read correctly and identify the errors.

    I'm the mother of a toddler who will be practicing this every night possible until I learn the entire song. Like many others, this song just speaks to my soul. I have always dreamed of playing it someday. My mom used to play it when I was a child. That's when I first fell in love with this song. It's such a timeless and hauntingly beautiful piece! I'm forever grateful to Claude Debussy and this youtube content creator xo

I got serious during late may and managed to complete the song in mid to late July. Its not perfect but I can get through the whole song. If you practice everyday it shouldnt take too long.

    This is amazing, Maestro! Although your one hour complete tutorial on this piece is a must watch, but this can act as a good supplement to it. Plus, we can see the notes that you are playing, as the other tutorial wasn't in synthesia format! Maybe you could try this with other pieces, too, but I think your detailed tutorials are more than sufficient to learn the pieces. Thanks a lot for this!

    • @5cre4my

      I know this is 2 years old, but i would really suggest you guys learn reading music rather than using synthesia. It's a much faster and universal way of learning

      @@himmel8901 can we learn reading sheets in a month?

    • @himmel8901
      @himmel8901 Год назад

      @@abictor3312 no, it's a skill that's developed over a long period of time. By the end of first 7-8 months you might be able to immediately recognize notes but to process them and play them on your instrument might take you up to 3 years of practice. But its a skill very much worth it because once you get it you don't need to learn music to play it, you can just read it. Granted i would suggest both reading and learning if you're playing for a concert, but reading makes it very easy to rehearse

    • @Hollycb12
      @Hollycb12 3 месяца назад

      That's exactly what I am doing (along with the sheet music). I read the sheet music first, figure out what fingers I would use, then compare it to what he does. I'm almost finished and am so happy to have almost finished a song I've always wanted to play!
