your Series helped me so much already! I would love to know more about WvW "ettiquette". Like What is Roaming? What does a Blob fight mean? whats GvG? why there are "Zerg" Builds? How zo zerg/Blob fights work? What does a Zerg want? what happens when stuff Like Range Spike, Wells, Stab, Stealth etc. are called/what to do like when to engage or also what to do when the Commander is not in voice etc. Like general stuff people know when playing the gamemode often. I was, and still am, stuggeling with the Slang used in WvW. "Ah they are PPTing us" was super confusing for me for example.
Super happy to hear that it's helpful, it's exactly why I am making it! Also thank you for all the suggestions. I will look into seeing if I can cover some of those topics in future videos.
To those that want to use the candy corn gobbler. go to the edge of the mists and consume the gobbler in there. that way your participation in wvw doesn't decrease and you will only get the correct buff that is usable in wvw.
" and you will only get the correct buff that is usable in wvw." thats fake news, the gobbler will always roll for the entire table regardless of what game mode you are in, you can easily tell that you got, for example, a swiftness booster when you use the gobbler and you get no karma/XP/MF booster AND you dont get turned into a costume brawl character
I love this video, thanks to you and your website I'm learning a lot I didn't know. It feels really refreshing! By the way, just one small thing. I think you don't really get extra 25% Wxp from the festival gobbler. I tried just in case because sometimes I feel like game descriptions are a bit clunky. My conclusion: I tried without it, an NPC gave me 56 wxp. I did the same with the festival gobbler effects, same, 56 wxp. Please keep making all this content! The more I learn about WvW the more I enjoy.
You can get the WXP Mini-Boosters from hitting level 60 outside of WVW on a new character. You might also want to take advantage of weekly black lion key farm from story level 10, 40, and 60 with the amount of knowledge tomes you get from WVW, thats 3 black lion keys/week for 2-3 hours of story.
@@Toyota_Echo Suit yourself, had some pretty good drops like a couple permanent hairstyle contracts, bank contract, weapon skins, mount skins, cape skins, wardrobe unlocks, nodes etc, I will keep running key farm each week until my tomes run out
@@Toyota_Echo if you're fine with an account value increase (rare skins) rather than liquid gold, black lion keys are actually pretty solid (due to the statuettes).
@@Toyota_Echo yeah and that item is usually only obtainable by paying ~1800 gold on the tp. 1800/60=30 which is more than a key would cost you last time i checked and that's just the guaranteed value you get from the statuette.
Great question! If you really want to get optimal, then you have to mix capping camps, towers and keeps while killing a lot of enemies. That will he the most effective way to get WXP, so join a zerg. If you focus on reward tracks, then just keep playing as normal and ensure you're at lax participation.
I’m trying to get motivated to get about 1250 tickets, that would get me conflux so I could have full lege☺️ I just basically grind too much to get full lege so I eventually can go back to playing solo or with some friends w full lege and just chill😄, I know it’s kinda crazy🤣
Potentially stupid question but can you have more than one booster active? So if I have the celebration booster can I also have a WvW XP booster active or does it cancel out my other one?
Each of the boosts I mention are actually called "Effects". So you can have one of each of the "effects" that I mention. If you're in doubt, I highly recommend the WXP Wiki article under "WXP Modifiers" that will give you a slightly better overview of the effects and what boosters are required: wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World_Experience#WXP_modifiers
I'm like level 55 WvW but I have to roam. Solo raoming is hard when you are on a low-participation server. Sometimes we get lucky with out linked partner.
It can definitely be tough. Maybe you will have more success roaming in the upcoming No Downed State week. If you have a very bursty build, then you might find a bit more success, despite being on a lower population server.
I don't understand the part where you say that I have to either choose to boost WxP or Reward tracks. If I use all the boosts you listed I just increase both as much as I can don't I?
Certain boosters can't stack. Let's take the guild hall boost. You can only have 1 of those active at a time. Which means you have to make a choice of reward track or WXP. Hope that makes sense :)
Just a quick update: Not exactly booster items, but if you have EoD, you can get a 50% wxp bonus from two sources: Shing Jea training area - Complete the heart, get the boost for the next 6 hours. The heart resets daily. Arborstone - leave your character parked inside arborstone with maxed mastery and you get up to 4 hours of the boost.
Note the Christmas and zaitaffy gobblers carry the same buff. But the candy corn has a different buff so can use that with one of the other 2.

IMO working towards black lion chests keys is never worth it. It's gambling and the odds are always in the games favor

So my question is, what is the best thing to do in WvW with these boosts? Afk? Farm mats? Roam? Team up?

What about the WXP mini-booster?
I just want to craft the Ring.... but playing 1-2 hours a week takes forever to get to 1800.

I wish changing server isn't that costly. I'm stuck on a low participation server and too poor to transfer out.
There's about 6 weeks until next relink. So let's hope you get a better link at that point.

Nothing more for me to do in WvW, so might as well pay forward in knowledge 😎
Missing the XP bonfire, 50% XP from kills.
