I love Balance, been using for about 2 weeks and it's brilliant! I love the art style, simplicity and all its large library!

Video appreciated. I encourage meditation for all. I still prefer Sam Harris Waking Up. After 4-years it is still adding new content and options, such as interviews, and optional subtle music background. Full disclosure, I now have a lifetime membership.

How much did you pay for the lifetime membership, if you don’t mind me asking?

I came to this video looking to switch from 10pc happier after doing 20k minutes on the app. I’ve been a long term user and found it helped me build a daily morning meditation habit, I agree that it’s probably skewed corporate. I’m a journalist and I tell my friends it’s meditation for journalists. I’m only looking to switch as the last few additions haven’t appealed to me as much but I think it’s great value considering I got quite a few years of daily use out of it

Hello Sonam. This is a helpful review. I am fortunate to be able to attend a local Buddhist centre in person (although Zoom is possible), but I realise not everyone will have access to that or want to meditate in the context of Buddhism. As you say there's so much free content for guided meditations (by truly experienced meditators, such as Thich Nhat Hanh's podcasts), but again I see how apps might be helpful for people in maintaining and monitoring a consistent practice. Good to hear that Balance is worth checking out.

Thank you for the great review. I purchased the Balance app three weeks ago because they had a sale on the lifetime subscription. It's a really good app. I'm so glad you think it's a good app too.🙂

I've been using the Balance App for a week now and I really like it. I'm really big on the tone of the person's voice when I'm meditating. I've tried other apps but something about Balance really intrigued me. I'm also thinking about paying the life-time discount price.

Yes I agree, that was a particularly nice vocal quality. I didn’t try “Leah,” but I was interested because of how good the first one is. All lot of meditation apps actually have very agitating voices, which is surprising with how fundamental a component to the practice it is.

Thanks for this review, just downloaded Balance as this app looked like it would suit me best. Right after installing it, I did my first meditation.

Hi Sonam, meanwhile there is a new one: Moments of Space. Any words? Based on Dzogchen and Satipatthana. Cheers, Fred

Lol, there are snobs and elitists in every corner of life. Bottom line is if this app helps then it’s good. Don’t $hit on people because you feel you are better or more advanced than everyone else. Maybe you need to do some more advanced meditation about being a an elitist dick.
