    Jon - do not forget, those named random NPC settlers this mod generates have boosted SPECIAL. You can go ask Ron for any one / several you need.

    Jon - to clean the rooms in your HQ, you have to go into Command/ Build Mode, select Facilities --> Cleaning

    Hey Jon, just a heads up that you might want to check around the door of your personal quarters at HQ; there's something there that just might point you towards a fun little questline that's otherwise easy to miss! (I was lucky I stumbled across it a week or so ago while doing my own playthrough!)

    If I visited the HQ of a group of people who claim they’re doing what’s best for the Commonwealth and I see giant tubes with weird creatures floating in an unknown green fluid and a dead Super Mutant on the table nearby, I’d be slightly concerned. If I also knew even a little bit about FEV, I’d be seriously concerned.

    When an NPC is bugged like Old Man Stockton, I recommend using a console command to fix them. Just open the console and click on the NPC. Make sure the text in the top center of the console menu says their name, then type "resurrect". That should reset their AI behavior and put them back on track.

      for our console brethren; there is a mod that gives you a holotape with console commands.
      there is an entire section of that holotape dedicated to fixing named NPCs in case they get bugged.
      this mod is available on console.

      @@romanw6636 Yeah, that's my main problem with F4 Survival mode. The mechanics introduced and taken away seem like a fun experience, but Fallout is way too buggy to not be allowed access to the console

    Do a quick Automatron DLC. It's fast, easy, and opens up all robot modifications. Add the SS2 Automatron mod to your list. That allows you to mod bith Codsworth and Curie. Plus allows you to build robotic settlers with the exact stats you need. Ie perception (best for those are Mr.Handy with three eyestalks), Int (Robobrains plus full voltaic upgrades on all limbs), or Protectrons (End upgrades on all limbs). Each can easily reach 20+ stats for their specialty. Build two robot settlers each stat category, send them to HQ, and your problems of too little HQ category power will soon be over.

    Will Mayor Bob be visiting the other bits of Fallout 4 DLC? I am curious how the Nuka World raider factions would interact with Sims Settlements 2.

      There are settlement plans for all the dlc settlements but jon really isnt dropping alot of cities planners desks which would literally set up all his needs for the hq and make it so he has a fast travel system set up with his caravans

      @@Sletchman no thats sim settlements 1 the system that runs 2 is pretty good on it and alot of the city planners make it so sanctuary is big, red rockets like a defensive post with 3-5 people and abernathy doesn't usually get above 10

    Im curious now that The Battle of Bunker Hill has been completed if Jon will claim Bunker Hill as a settlement through completing the National Guard Armory and East Boston Prep School because that gives a good location for a settlement and some nice benefits (ability to allow base game traders to visit all settlements not just those on the route)

    Bunker Hill was so weird that I did not finish my first playthrough after that. I tried to have my character make sense in a RP way and Bunker Hill just broke it.

    The Battle of Bunker Hill feels weird, but I kind of like the idea of a mission where everything isn't predicated on what I do, and if it's not all predicated on what I do, there's no reason why different factions SHOULDN'T show up without me telling them, and no reason for me to know why they did.

    You could have purchased The Last Minute legendary Gauss Rifle from Ronnie Shaw at the Castle. She becomes the Minuteman faction merchant after finishing Old Guns

    You know the battle of Bunker Hill is flipped when you can convince Stockton to do a MUCH EARLIER mission in the RR questline without much issue except him cowering and refusing to light a lamp. :p And yes, it really is a weird mess of a mission (that should come LATER IN THE GAME), but at least you got through it, saved the synths, and got yourself on the path to ballistic weave. (Also, thank you for letting me know that nobody INTRODUCES you to PAM, you have to meet her on your own. I didn't realize that, so next time I'm dropping off RR missions, I'll go say hello and get started on ballistic weave myself). And I kind of love you ignoring the Institute Directorate meeting in favor of checking out your own HQ. XD

    The H2-22 mission glitched on me because Ada was close enough with the robots attacking her, that i had to wipe them out to trigger the walk.

    I don’t think Pam can give you the safe house mission at one of your settlements unless you own every single settlement in the commonwealth.

    There's always a few railroad NPCs at the battle of bunker hill that have upgraded gauss rifles. There's no plenty for killing
    them regarding factions.

    Jon must know that if you haven't interacted with a faction at all / already made enemies of one they will most definitely shoot you on sight at the battle for bunker hill.

      I found that out recently in a seperate Xbox game. I forgot to do the first mission with Deacon and actually join the Railroad and then had the Minutemen build the relay so they shunned me and then tried to murder me at Bunker Hill.
      In my PC SS2 playthru, I just did that mission and it bugged out with the synths coming up into that bunker hallway with Railroad Heavy’s trying to murder them. I wound up having to do that mission again for other reasons involving the Vault 95 mission going buggy. I won’t go into that because spoilers at this point. Anyway, second time it went okay although the turrets still tried to murder me. I can’t remember if that is how it’s
      supposed to go.

    The railroad definitely can spawn legendaries in the battle of bunker hill. It's the fastest way I know of to try to farm legendary gauss rifles since railroad heavies seem to have a higher rate of carrying them.

    I thought the disease system was so cool. I loved the idea of being able to cure and distribute vaccines for the diseases that had been mildly inconveniencing me and being able to see the effects in the lack of itchy settlers…but once you clear one set of diseases, another, bigger, deadlier, and more expensive to fix set moves in. And this happens at least three times, because that was when I gave up hope of ever finishing them. Tremendous waste of time and resources. I’d say cure one or two sets, then shut off the disease system as a reward.

      Yepp, and both can be tampered with the Automatron robot workbench making them both highly intelligent. However that does require the SS2 Automatron update mod.
      But both can easily be upgraded if you got all components available up to 20 int each. The Automatron DLC isn't actually that long, complicated, or difficult. It also gives you the Mechanist lair as a fast travel destination even in survival mode if you get a level 3 caravaneer plot there.
      So finishing the Automatron DLC gives you huge benefits for the SS2 mod. Effectively unlimited settlers you can configure to your demands of either settlements or the HQ. Their stat boosts can't be overstated.

      Or Hancock or MacCready... or Dogmeat, though despite being a very good boy, I can't imagine he'd be much help with the science team, but I don't think Jon ever scanned him, so who knows? Games are weird! Especially ones built on Bethesda's engines! There are also the DLC companions, but those open up other cans of worms Jon may not be prepared to contend with.
      I'm honestly amazed he finally remembered Cait, given his general disdain for all companions, in this game.

      I know right? I play on XBox so I can't really handle SS2, and AR2 is pretty crash heavy, but I'd love to see Jon play it.

    Day 133 of requesting Age of Mythology - a full playthrough if possible.
    I'm impressed by how clean this mod can make these ruins look, but it makes me wonder why there aren't more mods that do the same. Can you imagine how nice it would be to have your own version of Vault City to come home to? Especially if you could make Diamond City look a bit better than a hobo camp.

    Jon, why don't you use intact vehicles as a secondary weapon? I normally shoot them a few times if there are enemies nearby, using each one like a mini nuke. Am I missing something? Is there a reason for not blowing them up?

    Cowering in fear old man stocking said calmly "welcome, my friend. might I ask, do you have a geiger counter" xD. This is why I can't replay this game after the one time I beat it after launch, even when I downloaded it again to try sims settlement. It just constantly takes you out of the game and reminds you your just sat in a room by yourself listening to some of the most garbage story telling and most shallow characters in my 20+ years of playing games. Sad as the combat game play can be good at times and especially if you get some mods, and some of the story ideas where fun, dunwitch quarry and that walled community where good ones that still stick out in my mind.

    Gotta love how your choices in Fallout 4 make almost no difference, but an NPC getting stuck in an animation can change everything.

    The fact that Bunker Hill turns into a three-sided war regardless of player action is very weird indeed. One would expect this would be like a miniature version of the Battle for Hoover Dam, where the player choices dramatically change the makeup of the battle. It's especially weird because Father has that whole confrontation with you after the battle where you have to convince him you weren't involved in the clusterflip, which feels like it loses a lot of impact if the battle is genuinely a mess regardless of your actions.

      It was probably intended to be and then something got too complex and someone threw their hands in the air and said, "Let's just pretend there were moles in various factions and everyone found out anyway."

      Plus I believe you can skip the whole thing by immediately killing the Courser you're supposed to meet. (Never done this myself so I may be wrong)

    Why do I feel that if this was built like Fallout 3 or New Vegas, the game would have made you pick a side for when the battle at Bunker Hill happens.
    Just the fact anyone on their first playthrough can, reasonably, just have it happen around you feels incredibly silly.

      A big problem with Shaun is that he believes his own hype. Once he makes a decision, he's convinced it was a good one because he made it. The Sole Survivor can't be a bad thing for the Institute because that would mean he made a mistake.

    This mod is so, so good! I know I say it pretty much every week, but it really is, some of the voice acting is indistinguishable from the main game, and surpasses it at times. The intertwining of narrative, and gameplay, is so much more robust, and interesting than Garvey and his interminable "A settlement needs assistance, I'll mark it on your map". I *love* this mod, so much!!

    How does Jon not know by now (or remember) you can kill synths with impunity? You just can’t kill people in the Institute unless it’s part of a story mission. It drives me nuts.

    I will say that most of the time in the battle of bunker hill it's a lot less weird as normally, most of the factions are actually supposed to attack you, the only one guaranteed on your side is the institute since it's their quest. The other factions would actually attack you if you weren't already allied to them like Jon is here. For example, if doing a railroad playthrough without any other allegiances beyond the institute, the BOS is hostile to you, and vice versa, and if the institute is your only ally at the battle, both other factions will attack you on sight. It was geniunely pretty challenging in my institute playthrough fighting off Knights and vertibirds and heavys with gauss rifles with only crappy gen 2 synths and X4 for backup.
