I usually watch the rv show 3 to 5 minute long videos. But this one popped up after the last one i watched. I am not even interested in this model. But here i am watching the whole thing BECAUSE this guy is actually talking about real stuff pros and cons.
Hey JD hope you're having a great day? I really like this toy hauler. I don't think I have seen a toy hauler with 2 full bathrooms in them. This unit is amazing with all the space an storage. The onan generator 5500 evaporate is nice.this is a perfect toy hauler from most people I would think. Thank you for what you do on bring us the information on this unit an on all the different travel trailers, fifth wheels, an motorhomes. Your number one fan Leonard from NC.
Great design on this one, other than moving that sink in the garage to the bathroom, and getting rid of that small shower. This one has more of a residential feel than most toy haulers.
I love the layout, but one of the issues I would have is the fact that if you had to stop for a short night in between the trip you would have to pop the side out in order to be able to get into the master bedroom/bathroom. Maybe the front section to the master bedroom could be designed like the Momentum 410 TH then the off setting of the stares would alow access to the bedroom. I also love the master bathroom in the Momentum too. If their was a way of marring the front design of the Momentum to the rest of this RV here you can't take my money! Also I guess you could say you could use the back door to the garage to use the bathroom, & possibly sleep in between trips. But that's only going to work if you don't have the garage packed. I guess you'd have to plan ahead. And with 2 showers I would recommend having the showers on a loop filtration system to conserve on water. Then that setting be bang!
@@maxflore1289 that's not the right thing to do unless you want to destroy your pickup truck and or hurt someone because you have the wrong truck for towing something this heavy
For the average city dipshit who doesn’t know a brake rotor from a dildo you’re probably right. An experienced driver with a newer SRW truck with good tires would have no problem handling that unit. The numbers might not say so but BTBRV pretty much recommends an F450 for anything bigger than a scamp so I wouldn’t always swear by his recommendations.
I’d like to see the company that makes Work and Play trailers build one about like this. That way it’s not so fancy and built a lil more heavy duty or at least they were many years ago when I looked at them and they also had enough room in the garage for one full sized SXS plus a ATV
I like it - according to the website, a 14' garage, which I like as it means I could fit one of my little British cars inside. But 47' long... yeah... I'd want a 450 to pull this monster.
Those struts are made like that. They are the same ones on my road warrior. It's a 2 stage strut. Once it hits that spot you have to give it a little more push then it will go the rest of the way up
Man that thing is huge lol. Could you please do a long video comparing it to the Road Warrior? I’m trying to understand the difference between the two cuz the road warrior costs more on the site.
As with most toy haulers, you sacrifice the living space, but with the length of this unit, I expected to see a larger than usual living space. I don’t like the offset of the love seats at all. One reason is as you already stated, it makes for an awkward conversation area and, regardless of where you sit, you have to crane your neck to see the tv. You also can’t see the tv from the dinette. I liked the double lofts and the two full baths, and the front door placement was nice. The bedroom was spacious and had sufficient storage. I would never buy this unit as there negatives outweigh the positives by far, especially the living space.
Nice rig but having to put the door slide out to be able to access the main bathroom and master bedroom is a bit of a miss. If you have to sleep or want to boon dock on the side of the road or truck stop. You may not have a convenient place to sleep if you can't get the slide out and/or have toys in the back.
Honestly first impression is that you come in the door and walk into a love seat that you can't move without take space away from the table and chairs which is already tight because of the lower cabinet behind the dining chairs. Also that love seat will become the dumping ground of everything that comes in that door. I would rather have seen a foot or two less in the toy part and have it added to the living space and move the door to the center of the slide out and then have a better seating arrangement for that love seat with an end table you can drop things on. Bathroom sinks are too small. Do like the 2nd shower and the shelves in the master bedroom.
Would have loved if they but the door in the middle more, between the couch and table, unstood they probably put the door there to keep the entryway to the bedroom more open bit 🤷♀️
The rv guys don’t like home refrigerators and the home guys don’t want a professional one. I’ve heard it said that rv guys won’t touch them so I would think why.
They could move the door to the left of the slide so the love seats would be across from each other. I would le to too a backsplash on all 3 sides around the stove since the really isn't any room around the stove. Other than that is awesome.
If they would of moved the entrance to in between the love seat and dining table the love seat and theater seating would of been across from each other instead of off center.
What do you even tow this with?? A Freightliner Sportchassis? Can a Chevy Silverado HD with 6.6L V8 pull this without sounding like it has a hernia? It says on their website they can haul over 22,000 lbs.
When you tapped on the sink in the garage it sounded plastic. And it looks like the same one in the main bathroom. At that price - plastic sinks are inexcusable.
Nice unit but it's going to be a nightmare to tow once you get off the Fwy. Plus some states have length restrictions. Probably illegal as far as length in some states....
I imagine this is whats desirable to live full time in on Alaskan waters on a versatile sail/power barge? Rust could be an issue here? ( i don't know why my imagination keeps going there ) Loving the all round double pane windows.
Maybe just me…with the door in the slide, when setting up at a camp site, you would need to fold down the stairs, climb into the unit, then have someone outside the unit fold up the stairs, then extend the slide, then have someone outside the unit to fold down the stairs again…and when time to leave, you repeat in reverse order. Interesting concept, but not sure about how practical it is. 🤔
We owned a cyclone for less than a year. Bought it new and disliked it so much we traded it for thousands of dollars less than we paid. They are poorly built for the price. I will never buy one again however I will say they have excellent customer service at Heartland.
Love the residential size frig micro and oven. Love the garage bath st up. Dislike the white or light cabinets and hate the neck wrecker tv position. Love the storm screens garage doors. Didn’t hear if the ramp was waterproof. After seeing the white wood in bedroom I am moving dislike to hate. Didn’t hear if this 180K rv had inverted receptacles for cpap use or tv use when no 110 available. Large 12 v frig with solar would have been better.
Don’t do it!!!! It’s junk, I have one. I have their top of the line toy hauler 2023 cyclone 4006. We’re in a legal battle with them at the moment, “Liz amazing” is about to do an interview with us. Wow this is big for a non-luxury unit. I would be even more firm in telling the audience that this is a dually-only trailer. The new Ford F-350 SRW with diesel may be able to tow this thing based on Ford's uprated capacities for 2023. But no way should someone do that even if the SRW truck has the payload (XL trim), and double NO if the trailer has any weight added to it.
no dry weight on this trailer is almost 17 thousand pounds you cannot tow this behind a f150 1500 or otherwise. this is a 1 ton truck trailer or more and it has to be a dually.
I had a guy try to tell me I could pull a 13,000 lb toy hauler with my Dodge 1500. He really wanted to make that sale and figured I didn’t know any better. I took my business elsewhere.
I don't like the living room floor plan. Other than seems OK not great. My biggest want that I don't see on these things is a fridge that runs on solar power so I don't have to empty my fridge between trips. Propane is fine for a few days but that gets expensive fast. Also I don't have to have a power real for power cord but a real would be nice for both power and water.
I have a cyclone 4200 5th wheel toy hauler. And we have a Residential Refrigerator. When you travel an you plug into. The truck there is an inverter that will kick in to run the refrigerator as you are going down the Road. All so it will run on batteries for 12 hours. Then you have to change Them.
I forgot that you can run the generator.on my trailer I have 2 25 gallon fuel Tanks.one tank is for the generator an 1 is for the toys. An you can transfer. Awful, its 2 feet longer than mine and yet the living room master bathroom and bedroom are smaller, that living room space is terrible not very hospitable. Man...I like so many pieces of that rig, except the sofa/TV layout. Sacrificing 1-3' of the garage would make that living space so much better!
Awesome unit! Never seen the entrance in a slide before. Very cool! Also impressed to see two full baths. Great video JD!

That extra storage/mini loft is a good spot for blankets and pillows if you opt for a sleeper sofa or air mattress

The rv guys don’t like home refrigerators and the home guys don’t want a professional one. I’ve heard it said that rv guys won’t touch them so I would think why.
Because when you boondock it needs endless electricity.
