How to trivialize this fight in 8 easy steps: Step 1. Bring a good team. Step 2. Replace a team member with an incredibly weak antiquarian. Step 3. Add debuff resistance trinkets to everyone *BUT* the antiquarian. Step 4. Bring 3 holy waters and give them to the strong heroes prior to starting the fight. Step 5. Watch as the Siren has a treasure-hunter boner and largely only tries to mind-control the antiquarian. Step 6. Laugh at the Siren's poor choice of waifu and beat the shit out of her for it. Step 7. ??? Step 8. Profit!
That works for the first turn. Unless you have debuff resistances that outmatch the debuff resistance she gives you after a charm, another team member WILL be charmed. It's honestly not that tough of a fight to do legit. If you have insane DPS (Leper, Grave Robber, Plague Doctor) this fight takes like. . .5 turns maybe.

Yes, and sadly because you have ''fixed things'' or better say delayed them some of your future progeny will get curious, bored of pampered life and start exploring the darkest dungeon.... Even if you acted the best you could, all your heroic efforts have done is setting the path open for a future ''ancestor'' who will uncover the DD. There is no escape.
I don't think I've ever heard a videogame track that gave me a feeling of raging storm on the sea as much as this one. The part at 2:47 is just fantastic, the melanchonic tune to (I assume) represent the cruel fate of the Siren and give the player just a bit of compassion towards her for what she's been turned into.
So, let's see if I understand: The ancestor had to deal with a stalker girl that was a nuisance (for unknown reasons, I mean the guy was obsessed with the darkest dungeon) then the man makes a deal with creatures of the deep to get jewels to fund his insane projects so since the poor girl was nearby he sacrificed her. Wow that's disturbing. The poor girl didn't deserve that.

Let's remember that for a time before the villagers turned on him the Ancestor was very well liked and famous in the Hamlet, possibly even handsome and all. It's not unbelievable for a poor peasant girl to get a crush on someone like this, in this case following him around and ending up seeing something she shouldn't have (his deal with the fishpeople). It's really sad that in the end she became the "lover", queen and slave of a hideous underwater species as a result of her infatuation. The ultimate betrayal from the Ancestor.
He took advantage of a homeless girl who fancied him to chain her and drown her for some shiny baubles, after which the fish people made her into "their queen and their slave" by doing fuck knows what to her. The rest of the shit he did was evil, selfish, and greedy too, but this? This was heartless (ironically, considering his fate).

My most memorable siren fight was when two of my team died and my grave robber kept getting charmed, but my crusader became virtuous and powered through the rest of the battle. I literally was about to give up but my crusader went “SILENCE WENCH”

I got some traumatic memories with this one. The siren charmed Dismas, who just so happened to be overbuffed after a rest. Then he proceeded to crit Reynauld multiple times in a row, killing him. That was easily the most dramatic and heartbreaking moment in my whole playthrough
The cove echoes all around the team "the Leper" being able to hear the Beautiful song ringing around his hear as his mind goes numb and I'm shackles ties to song off Siren but only the soft whisper saying I must Resist and be strong and keep fighting for my comrades in battle...
Actually, the Ancestor Memoirs cover that. She had a crush on the Ancestor, and met him at the docks during a blood moon. Oblivious that he was preforming an evil ritual, she was chained to a heavy idol and used as a sacrifice for the old ones
This song represent for me the abandon of your integrity to either achieve a desire or a dream, as the mania intensifies, one loses himself and his 'control' over his will to be a plaything to forces unknown to him/her, ergo, people being manipulated by their desires . As the melancholy siren echoes, it gives a second nature to the song, the sorrow for those surrounding the victim, as the drum represent the violence and erratic nature, blinded by their dream or desire at the expense of their close relative/loved ones. The pawn in a chess game.

Played this fight with mods. My party consisted of Guts, Fate's Jeanne, a Plague Doctor and Vestal. Jeanne got charmed, did nothing in the back while the other 3 just went to town on the Siren.

Finally, she found her other half- The Abomination. When she sang to the beastly Abomination, he refused to listen. Her song of pity felt shallow to his ears. He fell for the pity-filled lies before, he will not fall again.
No matter how many times she cries for the outsider, he chastises his desires.
Nobody knows if her song for him were sincere.
But everybody knows one thing.
In the end, the beauty is killed by the beast.

Considering her size and shape, especially during song of desire I would say that she was a teenager.
Ancestor will probably use "young woman" instead of "waif" if it was a teenager. And god knows what happens in the cove so the size and shape doesnt really matter

My first encounter went just like that but with my plague doctor
She got charmed once. Then continued resisting every attempt
I got some traumatic memories with this one. The siren charmed Dismas, who just so happened to be overbuffed after a rest. Then he proceeded to crit Reynauld multiple times in a row, killing him. That was easily the most dramatic and heartbreaking moment in my whole playthrough
The cove echoes all around the team "the Leper" being able to hear the Beautiful song ringing around his hear as his mind goes numb and I'm shackles ties to song off Siren but only the soft whisper saying I must Resist and be strong and keep fighting for my comrades in battle...

Tip to anyone reading this, the siren call counts as a debuff, stack up on debuff resist trinkets, and use holy water before the battle and you should hopefully be set
