Wow! Is this limited to produce only? Or for Any plant growing “Floriculture”. I am opening a nursery for orchids and other potted flowers. Thank you so much! 😊

Any plant will respond positively to growing in a high tunnel though it may not always be profitable to do so. Flower, especially cut flower, are great in a high tunnel as you can really provide protection from wind and get nice long, straight stems.

@@ISUExtension Yes! Especially Orchids! They need good air circulation but wind protection. Can you recommend a nursery building supply??? Thank you kindly!
I m turning my hobby into a business. It’s not about the money as it is spreading the love of orchids. I’ll be happy when it pays for itself & draw a paycheck to pay my bills.

      Hi Wayne,
I am not 100% sure what you mean by worm farm. The high tunnel EQIP initiative is specifically for growing specialty crops in the soil. If you have specific questions about eligibility, I encourage you to reach out to your local county USDA Service center.

      Thanks,
      Joe
