- So I've splurged on a new Vance & Hines slip-on. Money well spent. This is what the Rebel really needed, - a mouthwatering exhaust note.
Filmed on an iPhone, and I notice it adjusts its sound level rather drastically, to the point where V&H appears to be quieter. Make no mistake, - it is way louder than the stock pipe.
wow that is definitely different sound note but I am not entirely sure which I like more. The stock actually sounds more like a cruiser whereas the VH sounded like a naked bike. Well done!

It's Literally a naked bike that wants to be a cruiser, which is fine, 1100s are super nimble and easy to handle which is great. Personaly I like the Vance & Hines, its a bit deeper of a tone, I have the newer hi-output variant for the 1100T on my none T, DCT model, fits like a glove and looks an sounds great :).

Does sound pretty cool. I'd be curious though if a full stage one upgrade might be necessary in the future so you don't gunk up your valves. What they recommend on Harley's and most other bikes to be done at some point -or at least a tune to compensate for the extra flow. My Road King ate $4000 for a high flow intake, injectors, and tune chip needed to run properly on the Rhineharts I put on. Made a hell of a difference though in sound and power -was also money well spent. But yeah -😅a shitload of money....
That pipe is so damn huge. My brother has an old 250cc rebel which has an even larger exhaust but we removed it for better sound and yes there are no new exhaust replacements in our country. Anyways nice bike man :) .

Don't like the look of the stock pipe but the v&h looks a bit goofy to me as well the way it goes up and sticks out at an angle. Also you blurred your licence plate in the video but the thumbnail shows it 😆
i think the two brothers exhaust looks and sounds better but thats just my opinion

There is another version of it that doesn't sweep up made for the touring model or aftermarket saddlebag set up. It fits on either model 1100. It goes far back though, which I think looks a bit goofy without saddlebags

The Vance sounds quieter because your iPhone is protecting itself from the loud noises so it reduces the sound recorded a little

How many horsepower gain was there? Did you need to have the computer reflashed ?
Louder = obviously faster, no? : ) not sure, it does not feel like it lacks power in any kind of way. also, did not do anything with the ECU.

I do not think V&H comes with a baffle... : )) no baffle to my knowledge.
Nice sound - idiotic pipe placement. V&H just made difficult saddlebag mounting into impossible saddlebag mounting.

They make a low one for the touring model but it fits this one

@@XmarcX92 absolutely! especially, if in the USER setting you set the engine braking to MAX - it's gently popping on deceleration.

Depenta on the mic quality also. If he used the mic from camera wasnt the real sound ull hear in real life. Thats why external mics are a must in those exhaust comparison

Bikes currently do not get emission tested, the only area it could be illegal is the noise, currently 86 decibel max, not often policed though, unless your riding like a twat to draw attention to yourself :)

I own the 500. Want to get the 1100. But those mufflers look terrible!!! And sound sux. I hope they come out with a better one or I'm buying a HD.

Go with an HD. There's this strange feeling, - the Rebel is superior in many ways, but you still end up wanting the HD. Don't think there's a cure for that.
@@negotiatingreality8142 I think that most people need to think beforehand what kind of roads they'll be riding on. I've not riden a cruiser type motorcycle yet. I've just heard that HDs aren't the best in the corners. There's also no getting away from HDs being expensive.
If I ever get myself to the States, and do Route 66... I'll hire a Harley-Davidson!!!!! If I buy a cruiser for where I live, I'd be more inclined to get the Rebel.
The Sporster S is similar to the Rebel 1100, on paper it's even got better preformance. But it costs 1/3 more, supposedly isn't as responsive, and it has pretty ugly pipes too.
@@tinman3586 Have Rebel 1100 and like Sportster S. I could live without my super fast and easy DCT with some quickshifter, but those exhausts and the rear wheel without a fender, that's nothing to me. I'd rather buy an extra Goldwing bagger.

Stock ist besser für alle Menschen die das Motorrad hören außer für den Fahrer. Das ist egozentrisch und schadet der Akzeptanz aller Motorradfahrer.😢
