    About press:
    - For each of the presses, the wooden pressing plates are enlarged on the sides by 1 cm than the given format (A5, A4, A3). Thanks to this, paper insertion is convenient and made possible to print to the full edge of the paper. The wooden pressing plates are 230x320 mm in size.
    - The total thickness of the pressing plates is 48 mm and thus guarantees stable pressure over the entire printing surface. They are painted with a semi-gloss clear varnish.
    - The top plate has an adjustable tilt so that it rests evenly on your matrix and paper during printing.
    - The steel frame is powder coated which is extremely durable and easy to wash.
    - The rubber strips on the bottom of the press are non-slippery as well as protecting your work surfaces from scratches.
    - The press can be securely bolted to the work surface.
3mm felt is added to each press purchase free of charge. You can find further replacements and spare parts in our e-shop.
Thank you very much for your interest.

Did you use dampened paper for this? my dad made me my own press like this which I was very grateful for, but the prints don't come out quite as clean as this. I wondered if dampening the paper would help. Thanks!!

Hi Christye, in this case we used dry paper and everything printed as it should. We designed the lever system to be really strong. Of course, if you use oil-based inks, the paper can be dampened, but with a traditional weight, it is not necessary to achieve a nice print! :) Thank you for your comment, if there is anything else you would like to know, I would be happy to answer. Marek

A very nice result. Do you get the same ink adherence with this press as you would with a roller/etching press or will there always be lighter bits?

Hi, thank you:) Always depends on the amount of ink and the matrix. A roller press will always produce a larger varnish because the rollers can be tightened with screws. However, for linocut the press provides enough pressure :)
