What makes this so interesting is that you can literally see different stages of a geimaiko's career in one video and see what a difference experience makes. Umeha's, while young, has been around a while, while Momifuku is a newer geiko. Both geiko's dances, to my untrained eye, seemed more expressive with more fluid and confident movements compared to the maiko. the cameras are super annoying to the art and performance.they are all simply clickers.one shot is all it takes,to find that perfect shot is an art in itself.other than that chatter.i am enthralled and captivated by everything here.Thank you very much Dave, for your footage.
So annoying the noises of the cameras! Why do they allow that?
It’s a photo shoot and they paid to be there so not much I can do about that.
@@DaveinOsaka I'm planning to go someday, glad that's an exception :)
Mmm, is it a good idea to take so many photos. It may disturb the serenity of the performer and the assistance 🤔
It’s a paid photoshoot so they are dancing for the photographers. 600 bucks a head.
Any idea of the dance names?
All the songs received a copyright strike so I have a list of them somewhere. I will post them eventually. If you use a music detection software it should be able to tell you also.
