It's such a stark contrast seeing a breakdancer playing "Mama said Knock you Out" to then see the Geisha performance with the historical Japanese instruments on the same stage.
As a long time admirer of classical, traditional and folk dance froms I really hope more people take intrest in preserving such great art and culture..... I'm saying not just for geishas but all the art froms all over the world💟
Absolutely wonderful.. thank you so much for this video! When Onesama mentioned that there aren't many people who would like to be Geisha anymore, just thought how unfortunate that I wasn't born in Japan. I would be by her doorstep asking to be taken in 🤭 Can't help but thinking how incredible it was when Geisha used to walk the streets of Kyoto and was a common sight.
I’m really impressed! I’ve been a musician and done many performances but 12 in one day? In full “geish”? No. That’s so physically demanding, as much for the musicians as the dancers. Blisters on fingers and tired feet!
light purple kimono (yukata?) goes very well with copper flowered obi. Geysha's attire is very cute and stylish. Japanese people have a very good taste in patterns and color combinations! So many ventures visited in one day! Amazing stamina!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is the first time I have ever seen geisha dance while wearing zori, they are usually only wearing tabi socks.. Excellent dancing. Thank you for sharing this fabulous video. Do you know the name of this dance and which dance school's choreography they're using? '
I apologize for my poor listening. Did the Stoic from 10:19 declare the end of the parade video segment with Owarimas? This video is captivating and I love it.
People like different things, some people like western ball gowns, Chinese hanfu, Korean handbok, and Japanese kimono. I like all clothes from everywhere, from Africa to birizle, to Russia and beyond!! The thing you called a 'diper' is an obi tide in a fancy knot. Do you have fancy ways for hanbok? What to you call traditional Korean shoes? I'm actually really interested in Korean culture as well. I'd love to know more about your culture if you want to share!! Qujanaq!!! Qujanaq is Thank you in Kalaallisut Greenlandic language.
they must be so exhausted after a long day of multiple performances, they're all wonderful and so skilled!
5:53 the way she spoke was very sweet, it may or may not have brought a tear to my eye
I hope Japan preserves these wonderful traditions that are so important for history and the pleasure of the new days. Good Luck! Arigato! 🦋
Thank you for having English Closed Captions! This was great to watch!

👀👀👀👀 why the comparison ... and worded like THAT?

Thank you for sharing this beautiful art form. May it continue for many generations to come.
How beautiful and gracious they all are, it must have been an exhausting two days, but perfect performances and lovely to see.
What an incredible amount of work the ladies completed. Such dedication and beauty 🙏🏼.
Keeping the Art going is good for the country too😊

Wonderful...beautiful.....Sometimes I wish I were Japanese so that I could appreciate their fascinating culture more. VIVA JAPANESE PEOPLE!!!❤❤❤
I like Japanese culture, the geisha's are so beautiful and talented skilled dancers ❤🤍👍❤🩹
Merci, cest vraiment touchant toute cette beauté traditionnelle ❤❤❤

I enjoyed this video very much. Please don't stop posting. 🤗💖
Love Lauv! 😻😻😍😍🐶🐶 Don't cry baby...

The bento looked amazing
I love this so much, I wish I could learn a little because it's just so so beautiful!
I would totally try to become a geisha..if I wasn't a Gaijin 😭😭 Thanks for the Video, i love it!
How they manage to sit long time by kneeling ...I can't bear even a second
How do they keep the face makeup looking so fresh?
✨💕beautiful 💕✨👍🏼
Realy beautiful 😊

7:46 i didn't know kochou was a real japanese name i only thought it was in demon slayer lol i found this out through subtitles
@@Zimy24
No, it's not really a real name, it means "little butterfly". It's a stage name at best but not a name that you give to someone "irl".
Why the big piece on the back ?
?
Mysteriously uncanny
🙏🙏🙏🙏💐💐💐💐🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷

So rude...

This comment is very disrespectful. I am disappointed that anyone would say such a thing without knowing or understanding
Another rude comment from this person. 🤢
