Holy shit, I knew paragliders use thermals to get higher, but seeing this time-lapse with orientation always forward I understood the concept a lot more. To witness how you "screw" yourself up, and then glide down again. Absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing this with us.
The place markers make it more enjoyable to follow your flight and they are very interesting. Definitely worth the extra time in editing! Thank you for taking us along on your adventures.
I'd love to see a map in the end of the video of where you flew, maybe even overlayed on the swiss topo maps! Or next level would be to have a minimap for the whole timelapse, showing in realtime where you are!
I'm a fixed wing pilot no longer flying due to budget. I've been thinking about unpowered flight as a cheaper alternative to getting back into it. This video is amazing. Thanks for inspiring me to learn some more.
I took the same route: Changed from gliderplanes to paras. Although a para only has a glide ratio of 10 the real glide ratio, airtime / hassle, is unbeatable. Plus it goes into your backpack. Setup time about 10min. You can launch alone. And you match totally with eagles in terms of speed and glide ratio which means you get to fly together very often.
Fantastic - thanks for sharing your incredible flying so elegantly and so informatively! I'm learning volumes from your videos - as I expect most people are - and yes, the location and mountain labels are super-useful for visualizing the flight track you take.
Sebastian, dies ist ein super Video! Congratulations!!! Again: Congrats!!!
Unreal, like something out of this world. I live in AG, was in Lauterbrunnen a few weeks back, plenty paragliders around (and plenty F18s!). Thought I saw some country side but nothing like what you experience!
Wonderful!! Well done Set.Your video are always so full of instructions and learings... Thank you. Place markers are also useful, and consider if you can add a compass showing direction and wind

I never knew I was interested in paragliding content, but this is _awesome!_ I now want to try it out myself, just need to find some steep cliffs... in Denmark...
Amazing video, thank you! Great idea to put the place markers, it would be even better to see the tracking on the map following the video perhaps on one of the corners.. congrats and keep up the good work!
This is amazing! Out of interest, what would happen if you landed on one of the slightly flat peaks? Could you enjoy the summit, walk and take in the view, then take off again? Also, how many years of practice does it take to get to a level where a person can fly around casually like this? Maybe not 270km, but just having fun! Thanks :-)
Yes, one could for sure topland and then take off again! Depends on your talent and if you have experience in other sports. I would say at least a couple of years.

You could say he keeps screwing his paraglider
@@jensleering960 Just be careful, and do not screw up ! Hey, now wait a minute !!!
10 minutes ago I didn't know you could do that. Now it's my life goal
did you do it?
Fuck yeah dude just checking in, have you started yet? It’s my goal too but life keeps getting in the way
I've never seen this before. You just travelled 270km, with no motor, in under a day. Absolutely blew my mind.
Amazing.

Well deserved sunset wing overs! very nice edit! thanks!
Never in history has anyone made a video that better describes both the mechanics and the joy of xc paragliding! ❤️ Awsome👏
No idea why RUclips recommended this but I watched every second with my ja dropped open! What an experience!

Beautiful video! Best use/edit of a 360° footage i have seen so far. I think this really helps to improve my own XC skills. Thank you!
Really cool edit, great video, very cool flight! Markings are truely helpful, but an overlayed COMPASS would be awesome for orientation, as well.
One of the collest things ive seen so far!! Thanks for that!
