After a rough quad and failing to qualify a team, there is still hope for Brazil. Rebecca Andrade and Flavia Saraiva will be competing as individuals. Do they have the difficulty to medal? Let's discuss!

I'm Brazilian, and this video showed up in my recommendations shortly after we had our greatest Olympics results in Paris 2024... What a time to be alive 🥰
We won bronze as a team for the 1st time ever! Flavia and Jade won their 1st Olympic medals ever as a team 🤍 And Rebeca won 1 gold and 2 silver in individual, she's now the Brazilian athlete with most Olympic medals in history (6 medals in total, 2 gold 3 silver 1 bronze) 🤍
Gymnastics always had a special place in my heart, since I myself had gymnastics classes as a kid... But unfortunately I moved to a small town, and I couldn't keep doing it anymore 😔 I grew up watching Daiane dos Santos and Daniele Hypólito, and I knew our future was bright 🤍✨🇧🇷
I has been difficult these last few years not only for brazilian gymnastics bur for all sports and our country in general. We know this year is about resilience and love for the sport not especifically medals. We'll be watching and very proud anyways!
the defunding from all sports (apart from football of course) by the current government is astonishing. programs that used to supports athletes were ended and with covid restrictions everything became much harder over here. However, both rebeca and flavinha are incredibly strong and persistant. I would love to see Flavia nail her beam routine, as she is lovely to watch but can be inconsistent.

Very nice video! Yes, in AA we can expect literally everything besides the Simone Biles gold medal! Remember that Rebeca has a 6.3 dscore on UB, training a 6.0 on BB and a 6.1 on FX, she only has to do all of her routines!
I bet Flavia in FX EF, but I don't know what is her actual routine, because she is hidding, but she has been training Chuso, but I'm almost sure that she won't do it

Imagine tearing your ACL 3 times and not give up for so many years and finally get an OLYMPIC medal. So proud of her, cant even begin to imagine how difficult her road has been
So Rebeca just qualified in Second for AA finals behind Simone and ahead of Suni. Rebeca also qualified in third on Vault scoring in the 15'0s without an Amanar, she also made floor final in fourth place. Flavia probably would've qualify as well but unfortunetely sprained her ankle again on floor exercise ( she just had that injury a month ago), but she did qualify for beam final. Bummer, I really wanted to see Flavia on FX final!
They have great chances!
I have no doubt the 2 of them can reach the finals and perhaps even grab one of the medals. Rebeca in particular, after so many injuries.. would be lovely to see her shining!

especially with an outbreak in the us camp, we don't know what is going to happen/who might even be competing during quals. i think that might shake a lot of things up if the positive test spreads throughout the team.

@Joseph Qualtier Good then! I just want her to have an injury free competition where she performs at her fullest potential. If she does that, I can see her medaling in AA. I don't mind a podium of Simone, Rebecca and Larissa to be truthful but I wont mind one with Simone Suni and Geyla either or Simone, MJDS and Jordan as well. LOL!

@@aliciamcdonald7105 It's really about Rebecca! She showed that she is training a Cheng and her landing is perfect. In the video they said that her Cheng running is better than Jade and Mykayla's. This excites me a lot as a Brazilian! I really want her and Flávia to win medals.

I'm not Brazilian but I think at 1:11 Jade Barbosa is pronounced with a soft g/zh sound like Zha-je (I can't explain it well it's at the beginning of this video ruclips.net/video/1TXduuu0InE/видео.html). Thank you for these videos I know you try your best with pronunciation.

An honest mistake for non Portuguese speakers. Btw, great pronunciation right from the start when introducing Flavia and Rebecca. As a Brazilian I truly appreciate the effort!
I mean, we have a lot of accents of Brazilian Portuguese. Zha-de is correct too.
If they continue to "save" to the finals they will not even qualify to the finals, If Rebeca did everything she was able in quals in rio she would have got floor finals, but the brazilians "save" the gymnast for finals, this is a very dumb move
in Rio she was returning from an injury and was not able to recover full difficulty
Very very Dumb move. They always keep the secret and when it’s time to show it, comes a very embarrassing one. They keep using the excuse that she is coming from a injury, what it’s true, but if they don’t want to explore the athlete 100%, give a chance to some other athlete.

Hello everyone
I am a bit confused with how the qualifications work could someone explain it to me? Especially for individual all round. Does anyone get to go as long as there is no 2 per country?
Top 24 go to the AA as long as there are no more than 2 per country! So if the US has 3 gymnasts qualify in let's say, 5th, 7th and 11th, the person in 11th wouldn't get to go to the AA, and instead the person in 25th would replace them.
