Her coach has done a great job, pacing her instead of pushing her to be perfect as a junior. You can see the improvements in form and difficulty from 2018 to 2019. Got the job done when it was needed the most
Thank you for putting this together!!! It's incredible to see the hard work she put in to create an absolute masterpiece of a bars set. I know it wasn't in here, but I'll never forget her HUGE 15.4 she came in clutch with at the Olympic Team Event. She really is one of the best bar workers of all time, and as usual, one of the sweetest parts about watching her progression is seeing her coach Jess with her every step of the way. So proud of Suni, she is a once-in-a-lifetime athlete and person, beautiful on the inside and out. My forever OLYMPIC ALL AROUND GOLD MEDALIST CHAMPION! 💕💕💕💕💕
Even with losing grip on the bars & falling down, I was amazed to see how composed she seemed when she dusted more chalk/rosin onto her hands and completing the routine. She was probably freaking out inside but was able to stay focused and finish. Staying focused despite setback will take Suni a long way in whatever she chooses to do post college.
I don’t mean to be like one of those people who correct people for every thing but rosin goes on orchestra bows for bass, viola, violin, and cello❤ no hate sorry
@@alexi6531 To correct your correction, no, rosin's not only for instruments! I'm an aerialist (silks and sling) and we use rosin for many apparatuses, it mostly comes pre ground rather than in block form as for a string instrument. Chalk minimizes moisture and friction but DOES NOT help you stick, rosin is "sticky" and helps you stay on an apparatus when you're still working on your grip strength. My studio uses powdered rosin but it also comes in spray form.
The difficulty increase from 2016 to 2017 is probably the most ridiculous I've ever seen. She went from only doing a piked jaeger some of the time to a (granted it was messy) nabieva + pak + toe on
@@josilynfilmsIt absolutely did not make it backhanded. You just misinterpreted it. Doing a messy routine is much less difficult than doing a clean routine. Going from the 2016 routine to a clean version of her 2017 routine would've been pretty impossible. Her sudden difficulty was incredibly extremely impressive, but her leg separations and other form breaks made it easier to do. It got significantly better in following years, of course.
@@colesmith7509 some of the leg form errors were due to having an injury to be fair(I don't remember which year it was specifically) but I do agree that the jump in difficulty was extreme. Her form has gotten so much better now and it's pretty much impossible for anyone to have an extremely difficult bar routine with 100% clean execution(komova and maybe mustafina are the only gymnasts that come close. Maybe he kexin as well although she had errors in other places). I have no doubt that her form will improve even more over time
Thank you for putting this together!! I was hoping you’d make a video showing Suni’s skill progression on bars after seeing the vault compilation you put together for her! Love your channel 💕
That fall in 2021 was crazy. She like stuck the fall?! Anyways best bar gymnast in the world right now. And has such a great energy. Best wishes to her
I've always found it weird that she can do just about everything possible on bars as far as releases and connections. I have no doubt that if given time to train it, she could do a Def to a Bhardwaj to a Seitz to a Geinger. I literally think she could do a dbl 1/1 dismount while unconscious. That being said...she has never been able to a pirouette to handstand. Every giant full pirouette or more always gets a deduction. It's crazy.
I guess she has to have a weakness somewhere. Her style reminds me so much of beth tweddle. Both focus on huge release combos rather than pirouette ones. It's actually a breath of fresh air since pirouette combos seem to be the norm now
Great job. I hope she goes for the bars gold in Paris. (Maybe even a second AA gold?). She still has so much potential and was closing the gap on Simone.
Also with the way she has been performing on Beam in College (getting her first 10 on beam)... I can totally see her winning a medal Beam and Bars... ok now that think abt it she totally could medal on floor as well lol.....Bars, Beam, Floor and AA 🥇🥇🥇🥇👏👏👏👏 here's to hoping 2024🤞🙏
Im actually very surprised that suni didn’t use so many giants! Cause there are lotsa girls who use so many giants in their routine that it just gets really Plain!
She worked really hard on those leg separations that were in the beginning, but why did her coaches not fix her cast to handstands. They were always piked down to an extent. I wasn’t the greatest bar worker back in the day either so I understand.
Go Suni! Good for her! But she needs to change her routine and focus on improving her turn if she still wanna compete in elite to get on the podium even gold during 2022-2024 cop. Nabieva from G -> F, Piked jaeger from E -> D. Her difficulty score(all connection done) would be at most 6.5, compared to her 6.8 in 2021.
Good to see progression, but it would be nice to see different skills. Routines are becoming a little bland (not just Suni..overall).. same ol same ol.. why not the Commenci between bars or something... too much same circling around the high bar and straddle to handstand... I guess that's why I like floor and beam.
Very sloppy. No wonder they always say that's her worst event. Sadly I don't see her making 2024 too many much better than barely missed it because of covid she will be against. She really isn't that good it was just little misses from better ones that got the medal. That's gymnastics but put her against most others on good days she wouldn't win anything
Ok first of all she is amazing on bars and got gold on at Olympics and second let's see you do this and third if you are so much better why weren't you at the Olympics, huh let me think, cause your bad. So how about you think before you put someone down like that

the “granted it was messy” was so unnecessary and made ur entire comment back handed.

I honestly didn’t remember how bad her form was she improved so much between 2017-18/2019.

Beautiful video. And it’s great to see her coach there by her side as she progresses every year.
Baby Suni is so 😍 cute! AMAZING BAR WORKER AND ALL AROUND GYMNAST! SO BEAUTIFUL♡
Really cool to watch how she became more stable and cleaned up her lines over time in addition to progressing to more difficult skills.

Such a talented athlete and a great coach. He really did pace her so good. Love her routines. ❤❤❤
That 1.5 pirouette into piked Jäger at the 2019 worlds selection camp was wild lol
it's so cool to see the long term strategy of the routine- i think this routine was planned at least back in 2016. very very smart coaches

How in the world did she do the first bar routine without grips I would die just doing a cast to handstand without grips lol
Not only I saw her improveing so much, she also must of trained a lot to get to this level!❤️
Can we talk about how she wasn’t wearing grips in the first clip-
HOW THE HECK DID SHE PULL THAT OUT IN 3:55???? THE RESILIENCE, THE STRENGTH
Seriously! I thought for sure she was gonna go with a flyaway dm, but nope! Poor thing must have been exhausted.
I thought the same thing. Sometimes you just have to muscle through a mistake.
Wow!! Hard work get gold medals!! Sunisa champion!!
why was she doing a nabieva + pak + maloney + geinger combo at 14 oh my god. She was lucky she didn't burn out
Damn she is good... doing a front flip on the uneven bars, I can only do a pull over😂
in her 2014 routine she jumps off and starts from the other side, is that allowed or was it a fall? if so how? I had no idea
The making of a champion

powerful with beautiful toe point's a great combo
B4😫
2014 no grips... what?
omg no grips on the first one??? or am i just blind???
how did she not have grips in the first one
👍❤️ Браво, девчонки!!!💪

Du er meget dygtig 🌸🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
It hurts me to watch Sunisa do her early year bar routines without grips….
Khorkina worked her entire career without grips! My palms hurt just looking at it.
tbh i never use grips when im doing bars even with like giants and stuff they’re just so uncomfortable
that combination @5:24 was insane. wow😮. the real spider-woman.
My question is how is she doing these releases without grips. 💀😭
Edit: on the first one.
Navieva for 4 years!
amazing.
Is she not wearing grip#?!?!
Pretty cool she been doing the same routine for years lol
Go Suni! Good for her! But she needs to change her routine and focus on improving her turn if she still wanna compete in elite to get on the podium even gold during 2022-2024 cop.

THE FIRST VID SHE DIDNT HAVE GRIPS
CLIP*
Cr
She had no grips?!
She seems to have a small problem spotting her dismount
the fact that she didnt wear grips
👍💯🌟🌟💝
Omg
NO GRIPS NEEDED?!?!?
Suni earned a 15.4 on bars in the All)Around not the 15.3 you posted which was Nina(s top score in the Olympics!!!
No. She got a 15.4 in team finals, as did Nina. She got a 15.3 in the all around
C'est inprésinente
Omg I forgot about that stupid 1.5 pirouette
Just kills me that Taylor's music was playing in the background😂
Nice job overall. Too little of her olympic routines. Please consider re-doing the video.
Olympic recordings sadly tend to get copyright claimed by the IOC

Lol...Are you drunk? Her best event is bars. She massively improved her form by 2021. She scored 15.3 on bars at the Olympics.
Lol and ur so good on the bars? Girl 😂

She scored 15.4 at Olympic team finals... the highest score of the quad on bars. But yes this is definitely her worst event you’re right
Lol this didn't age well...
