In my group Bible study we are doing we are studying John. We just covered in John 13 how Jesus taught the disciples that as the leader HE serves his disciples. Devils advocate here, I think that what people are trying to convey to married couples or people who have been in long term relationships. Is that some of them have never had the experiences that individuals in today's dating scene are having. Many people in long term relationships take their partners for granted because they don't ever see themselves being single and it causes them to be insulting to single people.
