- I eat at and review Nowon, a Korean American restaurant in the East Village of New York City. The restaurant is most famous for their burger, which is considered to be one of the best in NYC. I review the burger and see if it lives up to the hype, but I also try some of their other food.

I've live in the East Village for 2 years now and have passed by this restaurant for 2 years now without ever have gone inside of. I've followed you for a good 6 months; your reviews have always been quite interesting and inspiring by how your reviews come across as raw and REAL; I think I'll finally make a reservation to this establishment; ALSO; you should seriously pair up with another food reviewer and make some sick food reviews as I think you;d add a lot of interesting content to already other successful food reviewers. Great insight into your food review. It is hard to say about the crisped up patty but I myself would have enjoyed it. Still, loved the review and if I ever get to NYC that is a place worth trying! As always, appreciate your insights!!

The polite thing to do would've been to say r those yours or r we sharing lol then if she would have said no those r mine, then u could've said Oh I don't blame u they r delicious. If she said no thanks I don't want them then u could say ok I don't mind if I do, and enjoyed them. James, excellent and thorough review as always. I would agree that good burgers are staples, but unfortunately had to cut back for health reasons. Have you had a chance to try Donovan's in Woodside? They made a great bacon cheeseburger in the past. Haven't been there in a while though.

Whoa, those tots! Broccolini looks awesome! How were you not full already after that? That kimchi burger looks amazing! I stand on sesame seeds (McDonalds taught me well in my youth). I have to check this place out! The desert looks like an Asian creme brule'. You must've been full after that - and you lost the girl! Story of my life...LoL

Pro Tip. If you get the set menu, ask them to give a little time between dishes, which are served family style. When we went, the dishes came out so fast and furiously that they ended up cold.

Great review I loved it. I did screw up and ordered without cheese I'm not a cheese guy on a burger and it looks much better with cheese. I got my friend the cheese I ate garlic honey tots and goguma pie and I really enjoyed it. I'm going to Palm Springs this weekend and take my mom to try Cajun steak at mortons it's great in NYC. Also on Mondays at Applebee's they do a $27 6oz steak with garlic mash potatoes and broccoli for $14. I go every Monday.

Another superlative James Andrews review. This smashburger trend just isn't for me. I prefer burgers medium-rare, not well-done with the juices pressed out of them.
Thank you! I know what mean. I do prefer a thicker burger cooked to a medium rare over a smash burger, but if done right, I think a smash burger can still be really good.

I do the voiceovers to be considerate of the restaurant and those around me. I don't play up anything for the camera for the sake of the video at someone else's expense. Mark Wiens and Strictly Dumpling are fantastic, but I have my own style and they have their own style as well.
25% fat and lots of spicing- it won’t be difficult to make that taste good. Bringing the dishes out at odd times seems like a restaurant 101 fail. the broccolini looks like a no to me dawg.

When the food is that good in NY, people will buy it if they have it. Cost of living over there is pretty high so a $21 burger is helping pay the restaurant's rent I'm sure.@@Jamesnu

@@Jamesnu 💯 get it. But when we are talking burgers just like Indian food or classic French. And you are talking to a burger man. My point is just as valid as those that come from India and say tika masala is not an Indian dish. Although it’s fantastic. But this burger is the equivalent. Sorry if you feel different. And absolutely take risks with burgers. It’s a great creation and everyone should have one. Just saying it’s not a classic it’s a spin.
