Thirty years since my favourite Star Trek movie came out. I feel old but will be celebrating. Will be interested in seeing what this is about, hopefully will do Generations legacy justice.
This reminded me of the DVD extra feature on The Time Machine, where the original actors added an extra scene to the original movie. George and Filby reunited one last time before he was to die in the Great War. So very nostalgic, like this short movie. I like it where in a movie, now-old characters find each other again and are delighted. It adds a nice wrap-up to any story. It needs to be done more often...along with the "role call" scene of all the actors in the movie, like Big Fish did.

We are assembled here today to pay final respects to our honored dead. And yet it should be noted that in the midst of our sorrow, this death takes place in the shadow of new life, the sunrise of a new world; a world that our beloved comrade gave his life to protect and nourish. He did not feel this sacrifice a vain or empty one, and we will not debate his profound wisdom at these proceedings. Of my friend, I can only say this: of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most... human.
Okay I HAVE know: what is the significance of the number 765874?? "Unification" isn't the only OTOY Star Trek film to bear this number. "Regeneration" used it too.
She's wearing a uniform from the Kelvin timeline, but looking at the screens showing Kirk's remains in the secret Daystrom station from ST: Picard (Prime timeline). Also, she's holding the little picture frame of the Prime crew that Prime Spock gave to Kelvin Spock. What?!
Yes. Andrew Jarvis redid the graphics for this scene that he also made for Picard S3. This will be the fourth timeline we have shown with JM Colt in it.
Space, the final frontier, these are the voyages of the starship Enterprise, her ongoing mission, to discover strange new worlds, to seek out new life, and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before. May the story never end, passed unto the generations so when our species leaves this cradle forever it is in gold, red, or blue.
Actually, I saw the premiere of Generations on 11/17/94, not 11/18/94. Google may not remember this, but it actually premiered on a Thursday, even though the release date was on a Friday.
I am so confused over what o just watched in the full video. I don’t understand anything about what’s happening. I don’t understand why Gary and the young Yeoman from the pilot are featured. I don’t understand who all but one of the people gathered around Kirk were, particularly the Vulcan male so much focus was put on. I don’t understand why Kirk looks years younger when his attire suggests a “Generations” connection, nor how he came to be with Spock on his death bed(?).

Not necessarily, Think about First Contact's upcoming 30th anniversary in 2026. When Spock stood by Kirk's grave in The Ashes of Eden, the Romulans (who had been subjugated by the Borg) attacked and beamed away Kirk's body. The injured Kirk ends up being worked on by the aged Dr McCoy. And Jean-Luc is involved. So there could be a move to including TNG characters across the next few videos. WATCH FULL VIDEO HERE ---> by reading description above to a 'tinyurl' link. I'm not too sure why OTOY is playing games and having the link "unlisted" on RUclips so no one can readily find the video to enjoy. Also, 'what' the video/story is about is discombobulated (TOS imagery) and disjunct (Spock on his deathbed). I had to go searching on the internet to find out what I was watching. Two or three added scenes with longer screentime would've cleared all that up, but OTOY decided to go for the 'obscure artistic endeavour'. While I don't need to be bludgeoned over the head with obviousness, I *DO* need appropriate imagery to give me context. That was missing here.
Looks great, looking forward to this! To anyone instantly turned off by even the mere inclusion of anything from Nu/JJ Trek, I get it as I don't like the JJ verse either and I despise Discovery and first 2 seasons of Picard even more. However, everything I've seen from this channel and its projects so far shows a genuine care and love of the Star Trek franchise, including the old stuff many of us really love. So if you're going to judge this teaser, based on a uniform or screen you don't like from NuTrek and write off the rest, fair enough - you do you. But don't waste your time crapping on the creators over it when there's clearly a lot of love and attention into their work, just close the tab and move on. They want to celebrate Star Trek in all its forms. I will judge this when it comes out, as it is presented - even if it includes material from stuff I don't like - after which its fair game for any critique of what they've done and how well it blends together. Maybe I'll love it, maybe I'll hate it - either way I'm interested to see the results 🙂
We are working on webXR support for all platforms that can support playback of high quality XR assets we deploy in the native AVP app. Everything in the archive app in mirrored on the web site in 2D , with XR content ready for webXR once more platform/ browsers support it. Color and resolution on AVP is very different than on meta / PC so some rendered content needs to be made just for that colorspace / display , alongside broader WebXR and 2D media in the browser
As someone who grew up with TOS, I miss those days. All it took was a TV and everyone had an equal, free opportunity to watch. Now you have to pay for all different services, and the internet connection, itself. Not to mention that I can't do immersive/3D/etc., without ending up with a month long migraine. I won't be paying for something I can't use to watch this and suffer a month long migraine, thanks.
Absolutely loved this. Only critique I have is the deepfakes of old Spock and Kirk needed a bit more time in the cooker. They just didn’t look right. But sometimes I’m a bit too picky I guess.

Please make this compatible with the "far more popular and owned in much higher numbers" Quest headset. No one owns the Apple vision Pro.
It takes literally 2 taps to click the video description and the regular web version link
Check the video description for details on where it has been released and viewable without an Apple Vision device.
You need to put this on the quest or pcvr not everyone can afford the apple pro
Coming back to this comment after release, it was a wonderful short film. Hats off to all involved!
where can we find full version pls?
Vision Pro? WHY not PCVR and Quest?
We are working on webXR support for all platforms that can support playback of high quality XR assets we deploy in the native AVP app. Everything in the archive app in mirrored on the web site in 2D , with XR content ready for webXR once more platform/ browsers support it. Color and resolution on AVP is very different than on meta / PC so some rendered content needs to be made just for that colorspace / display , alongside broader WebXR and 2D media in the browser
me encato, quien es esa chica? la tengo vista en algun capitulo de star trek.....
Check the video description for details on where you can see it. You don't need Apple Vision for this.
I really wish I understood what all this was. A movie/tv show?
Absolutely loved this. Only critique I have is the deepfakes of old Spock and Kirk needed a bit more time in the cooker. They just didn’t look right. But sometimes I’m a bit too picky I guess.
With an exception to the original series which was a body double, shatner played kirk but was de-aged. Spock was done mostly with make up
Wow I can't believe generations was 1994
Death is our final frontier
epic.
♥️
Can you reveal what the runtime is?
Any way I can Watch this without apple vision?
Does anyone know of a 3d model for the photo frame?
0:26 It's pretty upsetting to see the original Enterprise die in this shot.
Since it's been 18 months since Regenerations came out, where we first used that shot, I think it's now safe to reveal that is NOT the original Enterprise blowing up.
