    It’s weird how hollywood has just failed to capture the beauty of Star Trek but a 9:51 second fan made video did more than Hollywood has done in the past 10 years this is the content we want and this type of content is why I became a fan when I was 8

    Poor Gary Lockwood,who played the near omnipotent Gary Marshall,in the second pilot 'Where No Man Has Gone Before'. He seems be cut out in recent fan edits. Whether you think he's worth it or not,give him respect and keep him in. Gary Lockwood,now aged 87, even had the courtesy of popping in to the OTOY studios to put his likeness to HIS characters face,so they can match it up for AI.

    • @daydreaming6213
      @daydreaming6213  9 дней назад

      @@ericg5791 I wanted to keep a tight edit, more-so wanted the quick segway to be as if that was Kirk being face to face with something greater and not Lockwoods side story (not hating on it by any means). Same with not wanting to show Spock breaking the 4th wall looking at the camera.
      I'm sure OTOY or another fan will fuse the story lines together more cohesive. This was just me trying to be more fluid with Generations and Beyonds 'feel' atleast what I felt with the different scores. Also just fun editing.

      @@daydreaming6213 I'm sorry if i come off a bit brash in my comment. And not singling just you out. It was just a remark that i' had noticed the most recent edits had cut him out,and how,if ones a Trekkie into fantasizing what could have been,how his character might've played a role in ressurecting Kirk. I'm pretty sure there'll be more fan edits,that will have him in,others that would edit out the alien from Discovery,Spocks son,etc,byt thats the whole reason being big fans of such stuff

    • @daydreaming6213
      @daydreaming6213  Месяц назад

      Edited in Generations scene and Picard's speech plus its score, a warp drive sound effect when the ships leave upper atmosphere while the saucer is being shown, another OTOY short of Spock but not yet revealing his face (Why would Spock break the 4th wall?), a score from Star Trek: Beyond and an alternate unused track from 2009, ever-so faintly dialogue from 2009 and Into Darkness when Kirk is being sent to that realm where he sees his younger self. (Best if you us good headphones and really get yourself in the space)
      I cut some of the reunion scene down to match Generations score. Left a glimpse of Gary Mitchell's head from yet another short OTOY did, but for visual narrative wanted to serve instead for Kirk's final journey with and through the unknown.

      @@JMFBizzle yea I wanted to be subtle, lord knows people/fans will nit-pick. Just takes patience and practice, even some self-discipline to keep things reasonably tight like OTOY did. I've noticed a few other fan edits where it's lengthy, lower quality, or alternative music doesn't fit quite right but happy to see other passionate peoples work. Clearly this is just a hobby to chop things up and edit, not being competitive.
