Poor Gary Lockwood,who played the near omnipotent Gary Marshall,in the second pilot 'Where No Man Has Gone Before'. He seems be cut out in recent fan edits. Whether you think he's worth it or not,give him respect and keep him in. Gary Lockwood,now aged 87, even had the courtesy of popping in to the OTOY studios to put his likeness to HIS characters face,so they can match it up for AI.
@@ericg5791 I wanted to keep a tight edit, more-so wanted the quick segway to be as if that was Kirk being face to face with something greater and not Lockwoods side story (not hating on it by any means). Same with not wanting to show Spock breaking the 4th wall looking at the camera. I'm sure OTOY or another fan will fuse the story lines together more cohesive. This was just me trying to be more fluid with Generations and Beyonds 'feel' atleast what I felt with the different scores. Also just fun editing.

@bbbabrock no not at all, combined effort. Gary Mitchell resurrected Kirk from Veridian lll as an act of kindness & love. Saavik & Spock's son tell Kirk why he's there. Tor gives Kirk his SF badge which is the symbol of continuity & connection & transports Kirk to the Kelvin Universe. Kirk can return to the Prime Universe using his badge (l believe) or remain in the Kelvin Universe.

(Best if you us good headphones and really get yourself in the space) I cut some of the reunion scene down to match Generations score. Left a glimpse of Gary Mitchell's head from yet another short OTOY did, but for visual narrative wanted to serve instead for Kirk's final journey with and through the unknown.

I've noticed a few other fan edits where it's lengthy, lower quality, or alternative music doesn't fit quite right but happy to see other passionate peoples work. Clearly this is just a hobby to chop things up and edit, not being competitive.

How did you get the isolated audio of Kirk saying the Genesis line before he goes in to see Spock?
