Lure fishing for bass offshore | CATCH & COOK

- Me and Zak decided to launch early hours and punch out offshore to find some bass. I really wanted a sizable fish to take home and cook, but I was a little uncertain as it is still very early in the season to be lure fishing. Once we were on the mark it was non-stop action all morning!
My favourite type of fishing is lure fishing for bass off the inflatable boats (sibs), they are perfect. They are super quick to set up, they are fast, and can go in such shallow water, it's amazing! Inflatable boat fishing is becoming more and more popular as people realise you do not need an expensive boat to reach the marks out at sea. You can buy a setup for around £2000-£3500 and this will do you fine.
I love going beach fishing, shore fishing but nothing beats boat fishing on these inflatable boats. You can find the fish a lot easier, they are fast and most importantly much more fun!

SouthysFishing that yellow boat decided to pass nice and close to you at the perfect time didn’t he! Great fishing
Haha he was keeping an eye!
Not just one but twice it did a fly by!
Southys fishing 🎣. Great video fella looked like a fab session 👍🏻 🎣🌊🐟😎👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Another good video Ben. I can't believe just how close that boat came to you - and so many boats out on the mark too.
Nice to see you using a landing net, so many anglers reach across the tube to chin their catch yet don't realise just how risky that is.
I will be out n about in the SIB from mid June if you fancy a trip out or two.
Lets do it Rob 👍👍 should be loads of fish about in June. Yeah they were getting very close indeed have to be on the ball all day.
Southy's fishing, looked busy out there Ben, a few boats all in one spot..
Yes it was a busy day to say the least!
Fabulous days fishing Ben. Great recipe too. That mark is getting so well known now but the guys on the boats have no right to presume it belongs to them. Stay alert mate
Yeah they can be idiots, but this time they were friendly 👍 just don't like it when were catching more then them 😂
Southys Fishing, another great vid. Nice bass, just waiting for both shoulders to heal so I can go fishing again. I’ve got 2 buggered rotator cuffs, pain like you wouldn’t believe. One is getting better, slightly, the other is sore af 😂
Ouch!!! Heal up mate 🤞🤞
Southy fishing ok 👍 👌 nice bass m8
Thanks Clive 👍
Southys Fishing! 🎣
Thanks x
Southy Fishing, Great as usual. What is special about that exact spot that everyone is squeezed up... I thought it was good around there full stop?
Yeah all of it is good, the bass just happened to be shoaling up so we're easy to find 👍 fish finder was lit up completely with fish was mental.
Nice vid bro keep it up bro xx
Thanks mate

Thanks !
I’m due to start sib fishing this year, got myself navionics and a garmin striker plus for navigating and finding fish/reefs etc but just wondering if you have any tips for finding marks?
I’m based not to far from a similar wind farm and some wrecks that I know of.
Alright mate, I just use navionics to find sand banks, reefs, structures and try drifts across them on certain parts of the tide. I have a couple of videos that I've done on navionics, they explain how I find all my marks 👍thanks for watching
I found them immediately after sending that comment! Watched your beginner guide, great help to figure it out and get the maps downloaded before heading out. Nice one for replying!
@@thomaslunt8139 all good mate
Ben, do you use navionics on a phone instead of a chart plotter?
What finder do you use, and are you happy with it?
I don’t want to commit spending £600+. If not necessary. (I’ve also got an inflatable set up like yourself) 👍👍
@@jamienewman4141 Yeah I use it on my phone mainly or sometimes on my tablet. You end up paying a lot more for a fish finder if you want navionics built in. The fish finder I've got is the Garmin Striker 7SV, it's really good, but I used to have the striker 4 which is a lot cheaper and still works just as good 👍 hope this helps

Good luck
