@@philbobagbox1177 I would've asked someone to put this one line in my will, so this little remark could've been great, but, Grant's work has inspired millions, letting even one of his robots go would be against his ideals to always teach and help others. He was such a kind, nice guy. I only hear good stories about him.
On a good surface (tarmac etc) ABS will break ever so slightly faster than locking the wheels but engine braking is not going to achieve modern abs levels of anti skidding, even if it would work as the myth portrays.
I think they chose poorly for the reverse/ park myth. Depending on the car manufacturer you will get different results. If its a front wheel drive Toyota before 2010 you can get it into reverse but you have to smash the brakes first to lock the wheels.
From experience, I know you can go forward to reverse at low speeds in a 1998 Toyota Camry and a 2000ish GMC van (both auto.) I did not stay in reverse long enough to test it.
I wrecked my kia spectra from like 2001 when I was younger by trying to stop it from reversing downhill by going to drive and accelerating as my brakes weren't working anymore
Adam holding his eyes open while sneezing is exactly what I needed today 😭😭😭😂😂
I can't decide whether I want Grant's robot to have been buried with him or if Tory has it in his living room.
Yikes...
😢
I think it’s still in his work shop. Adam went to visit it recently I think and pretty sure I saw it. 😊
Yeah, how prophetic 😫😫

Paper armor was a historical thing
It works in the same way as gambeson. The stacked layers of fibers is great for slowing down and blunting blades
I wonder if Grant was actually buried with his robot.
You should go find out

Sure i would ... might hurt a little now ....
16:22 love the random Monty Python reference lol
think about it this way, if your brakes are strong enough to lock the wheels, nothing you can do is ever going to be more effective than the brakes

I have 2 editions of the Schuller ref Book. It's a goldmine.
12:24 I wonder if Tory kept that promise.
I miss this show
12:21 well that joke's falling a bit flat now
@@LordBelakor why do you think he died in a car crash? He had an previously undiagnosed intracranial aneurysm.
You can sneese with eyes open but it seems to hurt more.
